Chapter 7: Chapter Seven

The next day.

The sun's rays shone into the large yet cozy looking room. The very light blue walls paired with white furniture gave off a soft aesthetic and the occasional blue and lemon trinkets added to the atmosphere. 

Li Wei's eyes fluttered open as he heard a knock on his door. After stabilising his senses, he shuffled off the blanket and stepped out in his pajamas. When he opened the door, the maid outside smiled warmly as usual. 

"Breakfast is ready young master." 

"Thank you Mrs Lu." His voice was soft and soft, soothing to the ears and mind. Mrs Lu's smile became even warmer, and she bowed slightly before leaving with her smile still plastered on her face. 

Li Wei didn't bother to change out of his clothes and just went out. He passed through the long corridor then down the large stairs, stopping when he saw the door to the exercise room slightly open. 

Thinking it was one of the boys who had used and left it opened, he naturally went to close it. But the moment his hand was about to touch the handle, the door suddenly pulled back, causing him to stumble. 

Fortunately the fall he was expecting to happen didn't happen, instead he was stabilised by the three fingers that pressed on his forehead. 

His eyes looked up and met those of the person who stabilised him, before his body reflexively jerked back. The person now standing in front of the door had a towel draped over his neck, and was drinking from a long water bottle. His adam's apple occasionally bobbed and the eyes that seemed to be looking at nothing, trailed to him. 

"G-good morning... brother."

The person in return looked down at his figure, his gaze making no ripples or changes. 

'Ai no wonder Li Wei was ruthlessly tossed aside in the novel' Li Wei thought as his doe eyes stared at the man. On the outside, it was a look of nervousness and he was somewhat fidgety. 

"Hm" Was the only thing that came out of his mouth before he walked away. Li Wei turned in the direction and watched him leave, before patting his chest and exhaling afterwards. He closed his eyes and his fingers softly clutched the fabric he was wearing. 

'I thought it was completely because of Li Wei's bad deeds that he was thrown out like that...' 

'But seeing the opponent, I would be baffled if he wasn't tossed out like a rag!' 

When Mrs Hao had introduced him the previous night with sparkling eyes, they'd all just thought she was naturally happy that she found her actual son she didn't know about until a few months ago. 

That thought however, thoroughly shattered when she began to proudly introduce his achievements. Even the naturally dormant eyes of their father couldn't hide his pride and happiness. He was quiet and spoke little throughout, but whenever he did, it was to either praise his son, calm his wife down, or indirectly put shame to the Jang family. 

It didn't take much for everyone present last night to know his position in the hearts of Mr and Mrs Hao. 

'Even I as I am right now, if I tried to contend, that would just be risking it all. How much sparkles were in mother's eyes last night as she talked...' 

'It's an entire big f*cking milky way.' 

'It's over. KO. Clean headslash no double take.' 

'How could a man like the previous Li Wei even get a chance to contend?! It's absolutely impossible.'

In the novel 'All the bosses are chasing me', the true son of the family wasn't even given a description, since he arrived at the end after the protagonist had won in life. 

All that was said was that, later, one thing led to another and it was revealed that the little villain Li Wei wasn't even the true son of the Hao Family. There was a switched in birth case and he was switched with another child. The family went to look for their child and abandoned him after their child was found. 

They gave him compensation before sending him off, but being the villain that he was, squandered it in a flash before dying in abject poverty and debt. 

This film Emperor Li Wei, didn't have a description of the true son after reading the novel, unlike Wei Luo who did. 

If Li Wei had the description, he would know that the true son wasn't an almighty - Infact, he would be inferior to him. The true son was a small male who was just a few centimetres taller than him, who was also poor so didn't look as taken cared off. 

He had nothing to show for himself as he had been thoroughly battered by the Jang family, and then wanted to clutch unto the Hao family by any means possible. 

He would become a villain who would try to surpass him, but of course fall flat on his face and embarass his generations and ancestors.  

Now Li Wei thinks that the original body was freely given away because of his bad attitude and almighty contender. How can that little villain contend with a golden thigh who doesn't even need the Hao family to be handsome and rich? 

'Maybe if he came at the beginning of the novel, the protagonist would have held on to his thighs too' 

Li Wei bit his lips as he walked down. 

With the way things are looking, the new son doesn't favour him very much. What if he says he wants him out of the house? Wouldn't history repeat itself? Mr and Mrs Hao would surely listen to his request won't they? 

The other brothers words can't hold a candle to the words of a brother with such outstanding achievements can it? Plus, even if it did, if Wei Luo doesn't like him, making things hard for him would be quite easy wouldn't it? 

The biggest brother is never around. Li Wei was sure he was likely even cultivating feelings with the protagonist already. He was alone in this fight! 

How can he survive this? 

'Ahhh' the film Emperor is in internal turmoil. 

Ding! 

Like a lightbulb above his head, he finally made a decision. 

What better thigh to hold, than the only thigh that has the power to throw you away? 

If Wei Luo heard this, he would curse the illogicality of this world while choking on his water till he dies.
