Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The beginning

Dying isn’t usually what someone waking up would think about or expect to happen to them. Lilith was getting up from her groggy sleep until she felt a sharp pain in her chest, gasping for air she tried to call for help from anyone but no one heard her cries for help and she passed away.

 

When Lilith regained consciousness she realized she was now in a dark space she tried to move around to no avail then a voice spoke to her in her mind. 

 

“Do you really want to die like this?” the voice asked her.

 

“Who are you!” Lilith replied. 

 

“A system of sorts.”

 

“A system?” she said disbalife evident in her voice.

 

“Yep! I want you to sign a contract with me.” 

 

“Why would I want to sign a contract with you?”

“Because if you do you get missions and if you successfully complete those missions you get point that can be exchanged for items and abilities, there's even an ability that can bring you back to life”

 

“Really?” Lilith was skeptical of the entity that called itself a system. “And what if I fail a mission?”

 

“You get a penalty. And if you succeed i get points to”

 

“What do you need points for?” 

 

“I was a human who signed a contract instead of being the one who takes missions. I decided to become a system. In order to buy a body for myself I need points” Lilith was considering whether to sign the contract. Rather than staying here she decided to take on missions and obtain the item that will bring her back to life. 

 

“I’ll do it,” Lilith said with a renewed conviction in her voice.

 

“Excellent, now the contact is set, let the mission start.”
