MACHIA VELLIAN

Don't take this too seriously from the get-go, this came to me like a fully-conscious fever dream. If people like the premise, I'll continue writing it.

Machia Vellian is a supervillain responsible for some of the most heinous crimes the galaxy has the legislation to cover. Worse, he gets away with it. Why? Because The Congress needed a bogeyman, someone to hone their best and brightest against, those who defend their Galactic Republic; Heroes. Genetically modified Super-humans.

Also, he's not so narcissistic that he wouldn't enjoy a good prank. Said pranks were entertaining enough that they let his shenanigans slide. So long as he didn't cross a line, that is.

That all ended during one particularly stupid scheme, on a lazy day where he couldn't be bothered to think up something complicated, in which he claimed to be holding the station hostage.

The entire, 1,428 kilometer-wide space station.

He refused to explain how or why to the concerned press, but even so, CPD decided to just send the Peacekeeper. His arch-nemesis; a superhuman capable of flight, invincibility, xray-vision, laser eyes- look, he basically threw the whole Meta-Dictionary at you, and then some.

Machia can't pull his punches when he fights him, and that's what makes him his arch-nemesis. Also, the unfeeling crime pulverizer doesn't laugh at his pranks, and that ticks him off.

What he expected to be a day of making fun of the latest batch of recruits turned into a slugfest between machine and meta-man, though both were careful not to cause property damage. Just a few minutes of fighting and he was winning, when something happened that never had happened for numerous decades up to that point.

He detected the Peacekeeper feeling something different, the unchanging brute feeling an unexpected emotion. You could surprise him, embolden him, but not make him hesitate. What changed? Before he could even check what his suit had picked up from their psyche, he found himself somewhere entirely different.

And of course, he acts as any reasonable adult should in such a situation.
