From the moment the body makes its way from the flesh of the womb, it comes with a variety of ties, responsibilities, and privileges. In the previous sections and sub-sections, we explored some of these points roughly. We have always espoused how gaining an understanding of the world you are entering, and the body you are now occupying is vital.

In your original plane, the untraceable and unbreakable bond between mother and child had always been held in high regard. Even in your literature, the idea of motherhood was seen as a sacred part of a woman’s selfhood.

In your new world, we hope you don’t immediately assume that the bearer of your flesh also provides you a piece of their heart upon birth. That is the best-case scenario but, most certainly, not the most common. A villainess, as we have observed from the variety of cases we have handled, investigated, and explored, does not always have the best luck in relationships – birth mothers included.

There are high chances they are: dead, missing, crazy, power-hungry, lustful, greedy, spendthrifts, or delusional. (Personally, if you are faced against the seemingly improbable odds not knowing them is your best bet.)

They come in a wide variety with their own twist and, some, will look at you like their kin. At times that will be in your favor while there will be more times you realize this favorability will limit your ability to dictate your own actions as their “love” is only available if you are obedient. It is not strange for these women to believe that their children are extension of their status, personhood, and intentions.

You must prevent yourself from becoming the fallen flesh from their heart. You must remind yourself that this love, though sweet, comes with it the obligation to obey their opinions on a variety of issues that may affect your survivability. (When this arises, you need to remember you need to survive to be happy. Secure your survival, then we can begin talking about love.)

Do not believe some errant evangels who try and persuade you to relax – in the first few days of your life, if you do not make considerable efforts to secure avenues for survival, then it will be too late.

Play the good child – quiet, obedient, and independent. Try and assimilate into the environment around you while also feeling out the expectations this flesh mother has placed on you. Do they want a perfect daughter to show off? Do they want you to be haughty and strong enough to compliment your noble status? Do they need you crafty and able to pull the attention of any paternal figure of their choosing?

Do it!

You need to lull them into a false sense of security while you acquire their skills, information, network, and weaknesses! This is the best opportunity you have in assimilating immediately to your identity.

In the occasion you have a weaker birth mother, you need to look for an appropriate maternal figure to cling to, preferably someone who has deep ties to your paternal figure (so as they can speak for you, as needed) and power over your living conditions. It is far more important that you secure your living situation before engaging in any complex strategies.
