Chapter 3: family...

Mr. Serano's home is nothing fancy, it looks like a typical medieval merchant house.

 As Mr. Serano enters his house I hear him yell, "Honey! I'm home!".

As I Awkwardly followed him inside, I noticed a peculiar smell of baked goods...

 " darling! Welcome Home!". Hmm... Must be his wife?

 As I was contemplating, I see a small figure darting toward Mr. Serano... 

"Daddy how was work?!" A young girl asked as she hugged Mr. Serano...

 Ah... Seeing this scene I'm reminded of my brother's daughter... 

I felt a feeling of homesickness... And the realization that I might not see my family anymore started to seep in... 

As I was feeling depressed, Mr. Serano noticed, he kindly turned who I thought was his daughter towards me...

" Lily this is Nikoleta Von Gauss, Miss Gauss meet my daughter Lillian Maple Serano...".

  "Daddy why is she here?". " Lily, she'll be staying with us for a little while and will help me work ".

 Lily looks at me curiously before smiling, "Daddy! Will she be sleeping in my room?". He looks at me with a troubled look, before sighing...

 " Miss Gauss, would you mind sharing rooms with my daughter?". 

She really is like my brother's daughter... 

Filled with nostalgia I say, "Mr. Serano I don't mind".

 " yay! Daddy hehe!". Lily giggles... What a wholesome scene... 

As I was sadly looking at this scene a middle-aged woman comes walking in... 

"Darling how was your day?".

 "Honey I made double no triple sales I made yesterday, and I met this young girl who will help me!".

 The woman who I assume is his wife, looks at me kindly before Introducing herself, " I'm Maple Serano, Arnold's wife, miss?". 

Quickly I introduce myself "I'm Nikoleta Von Gauss Mrs. Serano.".

 " Arnold? I presume you didn't bring her here, just to introduce her...". 

"Your right, she's going to be staying here for a while!". 

I hear Mrs. Serano sigh before muttering, " there Arnold goes inviting strangers into our home again..."...

 After that, I was told to wash up before bed... 

Lily excitedly showed me to her room, to pick out clothes which she kindly let me borrow...

 I picked simple clothing, white cotton shorts with a plain black shirt... for underwear I got greyish white panties...

 Good thing my chest isn't big enough to really need a bra... Hopefully, I never need to wear one...

 the only thing missing is socks for my outfit... which Lily said isn't needed...

 Soon after Lily shown me to the 'bathroom'...

If it can be called one all there is, is a bucket that has herbs mixed in the water with towels off to the side with a body-sized mirror off on the side ...

 After Lily left to do who knows what, I awkwardly take off my clothes...

 which were just beaten-up rags and worn-down shoes...

 Trying not to look at yourself while naked is hard, but... Realizing I have to get used to this body I glance at myself in the mirror...

 I look very, very dirty no wonder I was called filth... 

the Serano family really is nice... 

After I was done looking, I Quickly wash myself off... 

Finally clean, I look at myself again and see a small youthful girl that's cute with hair that is pink and long with blue eyes... 

Hmm... I look very different than I thought I would, for example, I thought I had brown hair but I guess not... 

Soon after, I put the clothes on before leaving the 'bathroom'.

 Heading towards Lily's room I hear her saying, "Bun-Bun! What have I told you about eating my carrots!".

 Weirdly I hear another girl's voice... " Lily! It's just one carrot!".

 Generally confused I open the door a little...

 I see Lily talking to a bunny for some reason, and... And... the bunny is talking to her too? 

Shocked I accidentally push the door open enough for a creak to be heard... 

The bunny starts hopping around Lily while yelling comically, "intruder! Intruder!...".

 I hear Lily yell, "No! Bun-Bun! You're supposed to act like a normal bunny!". 

Lily quickly snatched 'Bun-Bun' and puts her hand around the bunny's mouth... 

but I can still hear muffled words coming from the bunny... 

Shocked I ask her, "Lily... Is that a talking bunny?!".

 The bunny finally getting out of her grip, yells proudly while standing on its hind legs, "Yes I am! You shocked, hmm? Hmm?"...

 " Bun-Bun... Nevermind! Nikoleta meet my best friend Bun-Bun!". The bunny looks proud while Lily has a deadpan look...

 I... I... Laugh at the absurdness, "hehe hahaha! How strange! How can the bunny talk?!". 

The bunny says proudly, " mana of course!"... 

"Of course it's mana but in what way? Does it produces the air vibrations through the air?"...

 the bunny as proud as ever says, "yes I manipulate the air, but what do you mean by air vibrations?".

 Me and Bun-Bun started getting into a heated conversation... 

Bun-Bun the mage, who knows everything about magic, and Nikoleta Von Gauss a engineer with modern knowledge...
