I began to move. The mountainous area in the west had hidden the sun, and the sky had already turned dark.

A chilly wind brushed past my face, but I walked down the street illuminated with artificial light into the crowd of people. They had no idea what had transpired, and what could happen. These civilians were happily living their lives to the fullest.

And I planned to do that too. Why should I bother about other people? Why should I focus my intention on playing with cute girls? I had drowned in my lust for the past few days already. If I wanted more people to recognize me, then I should just make a really big and flashy move.

A sudden question! How to do that?

It was easy. I had any power the world could offer. Many Magic Items slept in my inventory, ready to be used.

Then, what made me stay like this? Because I was still confused. A blurring line between what I could and couldn’t do was thinning due to Arsy’s influence over my personality. I noticed a bit of change within me, and maybe Aru felt it too.

Hence, she quenched my thirst. I noticed her talking with Titan a lot. That furball must’ve told her about something that I didn’t realize myself. Knowing ourselves was sometimes harder than knowing other people. That especially was true for me, a person who got a new body and near-omnipotent power on Earth.

The first thing on my mind was to get the attention I had lacked my whole life. I wanted love; hence I fell to lust. Now I was satisfied but still not satisfied yet at the same time. My hunger for attention couldn’t get any better. It was still within me.

A desire. What was a desire, actually? For me, it was something that needed to be satisfied. I wanted to have fun. For that, something fun needed to happen.

Then, what was something fun for me? The answer was simple… Magical Girls.

“This is the place,” I muttered, looking at a long line of red Torii gates in front of me as I held a compass-like thing in my hand. Many people still visited this place even though it was already night. As expected from a renowned shrine.

The problem with the strange balloons attracted my attention. 5 people were forced to turn into a Magical Girl after they held the hand they found inside the balloon.

Usually, the Magical Girl contract was only effective when both parties agreed to it and vowed with each other. It was a sacred ritual.

But the proof was there. Five Mana reaction I felt was definitely real and wasn’t something fake like the Wand I found earlier. What was the perpetrator planning?

I tried to put myself in her shoes. A grin appeared on my face. She might also have a bit of similarity to me. She wanted to have fun; hence she created a prank. A strange balloon prank. Yes, I believe the perpetrator, the prankster, had no idea it would blow up as big as this.

But that was just my assumption based on my own thinking.

Thanks to that, I got kicked by Celes and regained control over my lust. I should thank her.

One problem left. If I wanted to say thank you, I needed to find the mastermind behind this prank.

Second question!

How to find the prankster?

The first option was to trace the Mana reaction from the Wand I found back to the owner. But that would take me a long time to cover the whole world. Then, the second option. Use a Magic Item.

“Thankfully, I have this tracker. Still, it surprises me that the prankster is in a shrine.”

Yes. The compass in my hand was a tracker I used to find a certain Mana reaction. I only needed a sample of Mana to find the owner, and the Wand had a lot of Mana infused, so the tracking was easy.

I still had many questions and guesses in my head, but I would save that for later. For now, it was enough talking, and let us meet the prankster. What kind of person was she, I wonder?

The shrine was beautiful. I walked through the thousand Torii gates with my mood recovered. I had forgotten about what had happened earlier. Of course, that didn’t mean I forgot about the ill feelings I experienced.

I would get back at her.

Arriving at the end of the long, I was greeted by a beautiful garden of Fushimi Inari Shrine and a Torii gate bigger than the others. It seemed like there was a festival tonight, as there were a lot of stalls and people filling up the shrine.

Some lanterns were hung here and there, and the atmosphere was merry. I loved this kind of thing, but priority came first.

Where is she? I thought as I looked around. Some people passed me and whispered something. I only wore shorts and a black jacket with the amethyst necklace I used to transform into a human form hidden beneath.

Maybe my purple hair and clothes stood out. Many people wore yukatas, and some were the Mikos of the shrine, wearing white and red hakama.

The reaction I felt came from the main shrine in the middle of this festival. A loud booming sound echoed in the area, surprising me a little. Then the people started to make commotion.

“The dance is about to start!”

“Let’s see!”

“The Kinnari dance is about to start!”

Fox dance? That seemed interesting. I guess it won’t hurt to stop by and watch for a minute.

I followed the crowd as they made their way toward the stage in the middle of the festival. I put the compass inside my jacket’s pocket and smiled. It would be better if Blaze was here with me, so I had a friend, but I shouldn’t really think like that. I was used to being alone before Aru entered my life.

It was the usual for me.

The stage was luxurious, lit by many lanterns and surrounded by four red pillars, one at each corner. In the middle was a girl wearing a beautiful white hakama and fox mask. She held a fan in her left hand and a cluster of bells tied in a stick in the other.

The girl herself had long black hair tied in a ponytail.

Cling cling–

The bell in her hand rang with her each move. It was beautiful and graceful. Her movement was graceful. I was immediately captivated by her, in one way and another.

I swore I could see an illusion of 2 foxes running around her. She danced with the foxes, and the crowd was silent, enjoying her performance.

A smile invited itself to my face.

“Found her~” I muttered in an excited voice.
