Chapter 33: V3C1 – Some Insight and Aquarium Trip

Going back in time for a bit...

The Class 1-A room turned empty after the 7 future heroes were isekai'd away to [Orvinus]. When they entered the world under the eyes of Goddess [Ervia], they were blessed with different magic formations to their minds or 'spells.' One of these was a passively active 'spells' was called [Language Comprehension] that didn't take up too much mana and simply translated intention to be interpreted. Not knowing the language in an isekai would be inconvenient... 

Upon opening their eyes, they saw a grand throne room covered in white with detailed banners lining the pillars. They were located in a formation similar to the one they saw in the classroom on a red carpet outlined in faded gold. To their sides stood large men wearing full suits of armor that looked to be knights with matching longswords.

"W-Where are we?"

In front of them was a man dressed in regal clothes with a majestic atmosphere decorated with a crown, the perfect picture of a king. To his right were a man and a woman, probably related to him with their strikingly similar golden hair and piercing light blue eyes. The woman (princess) was about their age, while the man (prince) seemed to be in his early twenties. To the king's left was another man who seemed to be a high-ranking knight as he wore decorated pearly armor with a broadsword attached to his hip. Next to him was a young silver-haired girl with a mysterious black robe and a staff holding a multicolored crystal attached to the end. The King then spoke with words that froze the air,

"Welcome, heroes of another world."

The students stood in awe at the situation happening all around them. They were then informed about the [Holy Kingdom]'s current situation, why they were summoned, and their roles.

After having an information overload given to them by the inhabitants of [Orvinus], they were set and escorted to rest in rooms in the palace. Before that though, they were currently gathered in one for a meeting...

"So, this is really like one of those fantasy stories about going to another world..."

"Seems like it."

The one who spoke first was Sato, then followed by Tatsumi. The two are pretty good friends...

"What do you think Rino?"

"It might be fun!"

"C'mon, sense some danger you rascal..."

"How about Ryo?"

The group turned their eyes to Ryosuke, anticipating his response.

"I think that we should do it."

"Why is that?"

"If we have the power to help, then why shouldn't we? Isn't it our duty now? We also might even find a way of returning to Japan eventually if we are favored by the [Holy Kingdom]."

"I see...well I'm in."

"Me too."

"Looks like I don't have a choice..."

"Alright everyone, let's make sure we get to know each other well as fellow heroes."

"Ou."

Akito Harada POV:

Back to the present...

"Is everyone ready?"

With an energetic boom, the homeroom teacher exclaimed to the class. All the students of Class 2-A had backpacks fastened and are currently outside the aquarium for a school trip. Does it have to do with our curriculum you ask? No. We're going with our homeroom teacher in the first place...so I have no idea why we would be going and at this time of year. I won't complain though since I like aquariums. After an affirming answer,

"Form groups of four and meet up here in two hours. You can explore the place freely...you should all have the pamphlets with the map."

What a laid-back teacher, I don't hate this freedom of a normal high school though. Groups of four are probably not to crowd up the place, but it's a bit restrictive.

"Yo Akito, want to group up?"

"Ok, Ayame."

Rino looks like she wants to say something but--

"I'll join too!"

"A-Are you okay with us Ai?"

"Why not?"

I'm getting death glares from my fellow male classmates...

Sometimes I forget that Ai is actually famous. Well anyway, the next person to join the group will probably be Rino...3 girls and 1 boy...I'm ecstatic. But...

"Arakawa you're back? The class is forming groups of four right now so join in somewhere. Oh? See, it looks like those guys over there need one more member, how about you join them Arakawa?"

The teacher obliviously forced the choice onto Arakawa-san.

"Y-yes..."

She seems reserved about this, I don't think she has anything against the people of our group though. I'm probably overthinking this. Shina Arakawa, class rep, walked up to us and gave a greeting.

"Looks like we'll be in the same group, Nakano-san, Suzuki-san, and Harada-kun."

"Yeah, yoroshiku."

"Ayame is fine with me class rep. Yoroshiku."

"Good to have you Arakawa-san."

Arakawa-san nodded back and beamed an adorable smile. Anyways, it's still 3 girls, Rino looks a bit disappointed but I'm pretty sure that ikemen Ryosuke and his group will be a lot better than us for her. Still, I'm ecstatic. Aquarium trip, begin!

After walking around and exploring a bit with the aid of our map,

"Yoru, are you okay?"

"Yeah...I just feel like something bad is about to happen."

"How vague, I thought you were a logical calculating machine."

"Yeah yeah."

"What are you whispering over there to yourself about Akito? Come over here and check these jellyfish out!"

I do like jellyfish.

"I'm coming!"

As I went towards Ayame I passed by Arakawa-san...she sure is pretty from this angle...wait is she scowling? I look over in the direction she has her sights on and see Ai prancing happily through the corridors of the aquarium. Shouldn't you be more conspicuous?

"Arakawa-san are you okay?"

"Eh? Oh yeah, I'm fine."

"You were making a weird face at Ai though..."

"Ai? Oh, it's just my uh..glasses...!"

So there exists a liar as bad as me. Anyways, it's probably just a misunderstanding on my part. Oh right, jellyfish.

"IS THAT THE REAL AI NAKANO!?"

Never mind, wait for me...jellyfish. I must protect my idol classmate!
