The Magic Projector placed in the middle of the room projected a replay of the miracle that had occurred at the end of the ‘God’s Descent’ incident.
Right now, the projected image was from the point of view of one of the Knights that witnessed the scene where Kazuki Manifested Phenex and cast the Ultimate-level Spell.
Even while the Magic Division Teachers’ eyes were focused on the projection, Elizabeth stood up and announced.
“...A circuit formed by a stable bond tied with other contractors. Using this, he pulled out the Magic of another Spirit and could use it perfectly. This is the power of the King; a demonstration of Lemegeton’s true power.”
Having eyewitnesses of Kazuki doing something that should have been impossible, the deception that Leme’s ability was to purely copy low-level Magic…was no longer sustainable.
“I have a request -- let him be officially accepted into the Magic Division, and then form bonds with the other students. The whole school should offer support in this matter of him becoming ‘King’.”
…
The teachers began making a commotion, panicking because of Loki’s descent five days ago. The Knight Order’s preparation to subjugate the god-made-flesh had begun, but before they could even act -- Loki had gathered all of the Illegal Magic Users from various places in Japan and took command of them. They had introduced themselves as Loki’s Einherjar and began attacking the Knight Order.
Loki had kept attacking, and retreating, causing the Knight’s Order to lag behind in preparation for the Subjugation Team.
It was in the middle of this anxiety that the existence of ‘The Pillar King’ had become known. The ‘Myth’ of a King that controls a collaboration of Spirits for the sake of helping the people. The teachers believed that this was a sliver of hope.
…
“However…will Kenshi Kazuki be able to wake up if his state of Emptiness continues?”
There was no certain treatment for being Emptied, other than having talented people use Telepathy Magic to help the Emptied One rebuild, or rediscover, their mind.
Kazuki was currently unconscious in the Witches’ Mansion.
“He will come back for sure…Even I was able to return, and I was lost much deeper.” Elizabeth said.
“...Objection! A suspicious Spirit like that shouldn’t be accepted so easily.”

The Academy’s Board chairman raised an objection. An old man with a stern face, who consistently kept insisting that Lemegeton should be sealed.
“There are no facts that can be used to validate that Lemegeton can be trusted. It’s possible that she is only pretending to be the ‘Pillar King’ and gave this as an explanation to deceive us…You all know that some evil Spirits have tricked humans before, and then possessed them.”
“It was possible that the suspicious Lemegeton Spirit was the one who guided Loki. My adopted daughter was dragged into that incident, you know!”
“Please calm down, Chairman Amasaki…”
The flustered teacher next to the old man quickly tried to pacify him.
“I already thoroughly considered this! Everyone of us must have some self-awareness, the 72 Pillars is the exception, but the things known as Spirits, in all cases, are the enemy of Humanity! The Spirits in the other seven countries are gathering followers, we don’t know what they are currently scheming!”
“Yes, you require self awareness…If the 72 Pillars want to help humanity, it is likely that there could be many others the same! And it is doubtful that most of the other seven countries are planning anything.” Elizabeth scolded the old man, “Chairman Amasaki…just stop with the delusional paranoia! It was because of Lemegeton that your adopted daughter is alive!”
Chairman Amasaki’s face went grey as he heard Elizabeth’s words, but before he could futilely try to ‘rebut’ her, someone else spoke.
“Chairman Amasaki. Right now, the Academy and Knight Order need all the strength possible. Especially that someday, there will be Ragnarok.”
The Headmaster spoke calmly to cool the atmosphere.
All the people present became respectfully silent -- including Elizabeth -- when the most influential person in the Academy spoke.
“If we need power, then we shouldn’t rely on a suspicious Spirit, instead, we should reorganize the Magic Division to become stronger, shouldn’t we? Headmaster Otonashi.”
Chairman Amasaki glared at the Headmaster.
The Headmaster was young when compared to the Board Chairman -- but, he didn’t show any wavering when confronted with the more aggressive man.
“Chairman Amasaki’s words aren’t reasonable. I know you don’t trust Spirits, and want the Magic Division to be better than the Knight Division -- both of which are unreasonable and proven unsupported. We will watch the situation. If your paranoia is right for the first time in your whole life, then I suggest that the Academy’s strongest Summoner -- Otonashi Kaguya -- is to carry it out.”
No one in the room respected, or believed the irrational paranoia of the old man, but they couldn’t fire him because he was one of the sources of money that allowed the school to have so many teachers -- they didn’t wish to depend on the minimal pay supplied by the government.
