Virin had planned to visit the guild today but due to unforeseen circumstances, he had to delay their outing.
Sriya somehow managed to muster enough will to stand up on wobbly feet.
"If you can't walk properly we can go tomorrow. I'm not in a hurry, I would love to stay in bed with you for a day or two," he said with a grin.
Sriya with a poker face looked at him and said, "No one is staying on that bed until the bedsheets are burned and replaced with fresh ones."
"Hahaha! Why are you ashamed of it?"
"This bedsheet is the proof of our first night," he said with blushed cheeks and avoided her gaze shyly.
If Sriya wouldn't have known him well, she would have thought that the person standing before him was a bashful young man.
But she knew very well that the man who stood in front of her was many things but bashful wasn't one of them.
"Will you stop talking about it," she said with a pout.
Virin looked at her cute expressions and felt giddy.
Then they left the Inn but Virin didn't forget to give a silver coin to the Inn owner to change his bedsheet.
The Inn owner was delighted. Virin had paid him thrice the amount of the bedsheet.
He could wash the bedsheet and use it later for some other guests and could save the silver coin easily.
At least that's what he thought at first.
When he opened the door and peeked inside, a musky stench wafted in his noose.
Then his gaze went to the bed and his eyes opened wide and his jaw fell.
If he hadn't seen Sriya going with Virin, he would have thought that she was slaughtered by her master on this bed.
"What kind of demon they summoned through this ritual?" he mumbled while looking at the bed.

While they were walking towards the guild, Virin offered his hand to Sriya who happily held onto it.
Sriya was wearing a green long skirt and a white blouse, which went very well with her emerald eyes.
Over her shoulders, a turquoise-colored scarf was draped that Virin had placed in order to hide her beautiful mounds from others.
He didn't want others to see them. Sriya had already told him yesterday that they belonged to only him and he hated sharing.
It has been a few minutes since they reached their destination.
Shuruwat City, wasn't a very big city, to begin with, and was just like a stop for lodging and resting for people and merchants traveling between big cities.
The Guild building was similar to a small mansion with two floors.
Virin put his hand on the door and took a deep breath.
On the other side, he might face his first cliche encounter.
Some random rowdy adventure might try to pester and make fun of him, while others might look at Sriya with a lustful gaze and would try to hit on her.
Then a busty receptionist would come to their rescue and they might become good friends.
But when he pushed the door and looked inside, he was taken aback.
He thought it would have an old and wary interior but what welcomed him was a well-maintained and furnished hall.
Inside there were several counters where adventurers were talking to the representative sitting on the chair.
"Tch!" he clicked his tongue after noticing that there were only men who worked as Guild representatives.
"You look disappointed, young man?"
Virin looked to his left after listening to the comment and in the corner, he saw an empty counter and a man was waving at him with a curious smile.
Virin walked to the counter with Sriya in tow.
When he reached the counter he was greeted by a middle-aged man.
"My name is Klem Brown, representative of the guild," he said.
"I'm Virin and she's Sriya," replied Virin.
"Just that first name? Isn't it polite to give your full name when meeting someone?" asked Klem.
"I don't like to share my details with old men," replied Virin with a poker face.
"Hahaha!"
"You were disappointed the moment you entered through the door. Why is that young Virin?" Asked Klem while holding his laugh.
Virin sighed and said, "To be honest, I thought It would be a cute and busty woman standing behind the counter and here I'm talking to an old man."
"Hahahaha! You don't hold back, do you?"
"Well your fantasy will be satisfied at the branches of big cities, but in a small city like this, you have to deal with men."
"Is this your first visit to the Guild?" Klem asked.
Virin nodded.
"I believe that's the same for the lovely lady over there?" he asked while looking at Sriya.
This time Sriya nodded.
"Okay, if you want to enroll as an adventurer, fill this form up and please fill out the details, your full name included," said Klem.

Virin took the parchment that Klem was handing him over.
"I hope you only write the truth, lies will be detected," said Klem with a toothy grin as Virin and Sriya walked towards a couch.
Virin looked at the parchment and said, "As I thought, I can only understand the vocal language of this world."
"Reading and writing was a different case," he mumbled and passed the papers to Sriya.
Sriya read the paper and said, "It wants us to fill out our basic details, such as Name, Levels, Skills, Race, etc."
Virin nodded, this was similar to RPG settings he thought. Then Virin asked her to fill in their details.
"Ma-Vir, what about our family name?" she questioned him hesitantly.
'She was about to call me 'Master' again wasn't she?' he sighed inwardly.
"Is it necessary to have a family name? I'm pretty sure there might be many people who don't have one," he said while shrugging.
She shook her head and said, "All free folks have a family name. Only slaves don't have family names."
"Sheesh!" he raised his hand in surrender.
"We can just choose any family name that won't cause any problems in the future," he said while thinking.
Sriya was diligently filling in the details when Virin's gaze fell on her beautiful face.
"Hey Sriya," he called her.
"Mmm?" she hummed while focusing on the parchment in front of her.
"I can choose your family name, right? I would have used one from my previous world but since I was an orphan I never had one" he questioned her.
She stopped her work and looked at him with wide-open eyes.
"Wait! let me be clear. With your family name I meant your parent's family name and not your ex-husband's," he said.
"I'm pretty sure they won't have any problems right? Their son-in-law can use their family name right?" he said jokingly.
Her eyes became moist and she muttered, "They both are dead."
Virin looked at and cursed his loose mouth. Then he hugged her and said, "Doesn't that make it necessary for their daughter to carry on their Name."
"I'm sure they would be pleased," she muttered with a dazzling smile.
"Then it's decided," he said and wiped her tears.
"So what was your family name?" he questioned her.
"Irya," she mumbled.
[A/N: Irya has different meaning in various languages, do check it out. Irya here is from Sanskrit, meaning Powerful, active, energetic, etc.]
"Mm, Sriya Irya! That rhymes very well!" doesn't it? Hehe," he said.
[ A/N: I thought to leave this for people to check it out but 'Sriya' in Sanskrit means beautiful and is another name for Hindu Goddess of wealth.
Unlike your average protagonist, naming skill of Virin is good, unless it's some side character XD]
"Then 'Virin Irya' it is!" he exclaimed.
{New Name Gained}
'Holy-shiet! Am I being observed by Lord Neetesh?' he questioned inwardly and then looked above.
She wrote his full name but kept her family name column blank.
"Why is your family name column blank," he asked her.
"Because I'm not a free folk, Vir!" she exclaimed.
"Haah!" he sighed. He thought after showering her she would understand that she was more than a slave to him.
So, he thought to grant her the Irya family name.
Sriya, I grant you the family name Ir...hmm," before he could finish his phrase she shut his mouth with her palms.
Virin frowned at her action but before he could question her, she spoke first.
"I know you love me but don't grant me your family name yet. The moment you grant me the family name, the slave seal will break," she said.
"Huh?" he mumbled in confusion.
"An owner can cancel the seal of the slave with the help of a mage or give them their family name," she said.
"Don't ask me why it is so. But this the natural law of slavery," she said.
"I know you would happily release me from this seal because of how stupid you are," she said with moist eyes.
"But I am afraid that I....might betray you and blurt out your secret if not for the seal."
"Sriya I.." he tried to speak but she continued.
"The way you look at me with love and all these heavy emotions. I have a fear."
"What if I can't reciprocate it?...what if I betrayed you?"
"That's why I request you, Vir, don't take this seal away. At least with this, I'm sure, that I will stick with you till the end of times."
"Otherwise, I would choose to die than betray a person, who will do anything to see me smile," she said with tears sliding down her cheeks.
He wiped her tears and embraced her tightly, "Sheesh Woman, are you a 16-year-old teen? Why were you thinking so much?"
