Cameron's eyes were locked on the figure that gave off such an intoxicating scent. His head was dizzy and his heart was beating so fast at the sight of a beautiful human figure looking at a deer from behind the bushes.

"Is this how a werewolf feels when he meets his mate?" thought Cameron with widened eyes. "I have an uneasy feeling." He looked at the woman without blinking, but his heart was troubled because it was the first time in his life that he had felt such a strange feeling.

The woman's eyes were so focused on her prey. Meanwhile, a bow and arrow in her hand. The stag she was targeting was seen grazing among the trees, unaware of the creature that was targeting it.

"Sorry honey, I need you right now!" said the woman when she found the moment, then she got up quickly while releasing her arrow towards the deer.

The neighing of the deer broke the silence of the forest. The arrow hit its thigh. It ran quickly away from the place where it had been grazing. Blood flowed from the wound on the deer's thigh.

"Sir Jhon, Sir Mateo, go after the deer!" the woman shouted to two men who were waiting nearby. Then, removing her veil, she ran after the dying deer.

Her black hair was pulled up in a bun to reveal her white neck. The wind blew against her body, the cloak covering her body fluttered, while her eyes remained fixed on the deer's direction of departure, locking onto her prey's every move. Her long legs quickly chased after the deer.

Cameron followed the woman by jumping from the trees. His eyes also remained on the figure of a woman who was now standing not far from the deer she had hunted. His heart pushed his wits to approach her right now.

"Ah, damn it!" he cursed. "Hold on Cam, hold on! If you get any closer now, you'll just make things worse." Cameron stopped on one of the branches of a large tree.

"Calm down! I'll do it quickly, okay." The woman smiled broadly. Then, she walked closer to the deer while putting her bow into the tube that was slung beside her waist.

She bent his body slightly, stepped slowly, and advanced her left hand while her right hand was behind her body.

The deer limped backward. Until he couldn't take it anymore and fell to the ground. The deer lay weakly, apparently at the end of the arrow had been smeared with anesthetic liquid. The wound on the deer's leg wasn't that fatal, it just made him lie weak. The deer's dark eyes turned sharply to the Woman. The deer's eyes still look alert with the presence of the woman who is hunting him.

Cameron could see, those gray eyes like the full moon looking at the deer with pity.

When the deer collapsed, the woman ran quickly and sat cross-legged besides the deer. She stroked the deer's neck and smiled. She took off his cloak and then covered the deer's head.

"I'll make sure you won't feel the pain," she said, smiling with her hands still stroking gently the muscles of the deer's body which were starting to relax. "Good boy!" The woman smiled, then she took a dagger from behind her back, got up, and stood on her left knee. His left hand held the wattle around the deer's neck and then slaughtered it quickly.

A heartbreaking lowing sounded from the mouth of the deer. The woman moved away from the body that was floundering and dying. Soon the deer's body began to calm down.

The woman smiled, then she took her robe and put it back on, although she noticed that there was some blood splattered on it, she didn't look bothered.

Cameron was about to come out of hiding, trying to approach the woman. However, the sound of rustling leaves being stepped on by several people made him discourage himself from approaching the woman.

Two men approached the woman. One of them was stocky, mustache, with a thin beard adorning his stern-looking face, the other had almost the same stature but his body looked smaller and slimmer.

"There is no doubt about your ability, Miss Serena!" said Mateo—the burly man—laughing out loud.

Cameron was silent, now he knew the woman's name. Serena. Without realizing it a faint smile graced her foliage-covered features.

"Don't talk too much, hurry up and tie the deer, and bring it home!" John—the man with a smaller body than Mateo—grumbled when he heard Mateo's laughter which could disturb other forest dwellers. "We're at the border of the werewolf forest, we might be attacked if we don't get out of here right now." John was still grumbling while tying the deer's hind legs to a long piece of wood.

“Oh, sorry I forgot!” Mateo remembered where they were now.

The sun was starting to set, and they had almost entered the werewolf’s territory without permission, and it was extremely dangerous. Better to avoid direct contact with them.

“We must hurry!” Mateo swiftly tied the deer’s forelegs to the other side of the log.

After making sure their rope ties were strong, Mateo and John lifted the sticks and placed them over their shoulders.

They immediately left the place, not realizing that Serena was watching one of the trees with her grey eyes. So sharp, her expression so cold without any fear.

“Miss!” said John who was behind Mateo, glancing over his shoulder.

Serena sighed, then she turned and walked over to Mateo.

"I've been feeling uncomfortable since earlier!"

"I feel it too, someone was watching us from the top of the tree," Mateo muttered as Serena walked beside him. "Ignore it! The important thing is we have food supplies before winter." Mateo smiled at Serena who was looking at him.

A smile etched clear from Serena’s pale lips, then she nodded her head. However, Serena still glanced over her shoulder at a large, overgrown tree.

"Serena?" thought Cameron who was sitting with his legs dangling from a tree.

Cameron hid his whereabouts and walked following Serena with her servant. Not long after, the evening sky was slowly getting dark.

The three of them finally stopped at a castle that had vines growing on its walls. Serena and her servant were greeted by a chubby woman with a dirty apron around her waist.

"Wow, big catch Miss!" he said with a smile as bright as ever.

"Yeah, I am grateful to get it! Partly cook the meat and dry it partly for our supply later! I'll catch up after changing my clothes!" Serena smiled broadly.

"Okay, Miss!" Berta returned Serena's smile as she followed John and Mateo.

Meanwhile, Serena stepped back on her feet, glancing over her shoulder. "I hope he didn't follow me all the way here." Serena's breath caught when she saw a white wolf standing not far from where she stood.

The wolf looked at Serena deeply. The woman walked backward feeling strange with the gaze of the beast.

"It's impossible, isn't it if the wolf is watching us in the forest?" she thought.

The wolf stirred from its spot. Serena's silver eyes locked onto that exquisite figure. Such serene blue eyes. Ten years before the events that took away the happiness of all her loved ones, wolves and werewolves were the ones she admired the most.

However, everything changed. They went wild and made everything disappear in one night. Serena became afraid and resentful of them. Even making Serena want to destroy their existence on earth. However, every time Serena faced them, fear and horror seized her heart and mind.

She wanted to run away, but why did looking at the white wolf with blue eyes make her dazzled?

The wind blew, and Serena sank into her thoughts. She closed his eyes and when she opened them, the wolf was gone.

Serena paused, then her body shivered as the autumn air began to chill her. She turned around and walked quickly, not knowing that a pair of eyes were still watching her from behind the leaves rustling in the wind.

Laughter filled the castle dining room where Serena was enjoying her dinner with some of the men. Only a few people attended the dinner, but the atmosphere was warm and friendly.

Several female maids cleared the table and grumbled at the men’s reckless behavior and no manners in front of the host. Serena was just silent while enjoying her dinner.

John, who was sitting beside Serena, noticed Serena's expression, which seemed unexcited. He frowned then took Serena's hand. Serena gasped, then she looked at John who was looking at her with a frown.

"What are you thinking, Miss?" he asked, pulling back his hand.

Serena smiled faintly. "I was just worried about the figure watching us in the woods earlier," Serena answered with a smile. "And the white wolf," she thought.

John frowned. "Probably werewolves guarding the borders, miss."

Serena paused and then bit her lip. "I'm not sure, because he has a different aura from the werewolves I've met." Serena rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Different?" asked John as he put the grilled meat into his mouth.

Serena sighed. "Yeah, but don't mind it, Sir John. Enjoy your dinner!" She smiled.

John was silent and then he smiled.

"I want to get out for a moment!" Serena got up from her seat then she left the hustle and bustle of the dinner atmosphere.

John watched Serena go. The man's face looks pitiful. For ten years they could only move around and there was no safe place for them to live.
