Yun An pointed her sword at the two boys.

Her chin visibly lifts up, an invitation to her challengers.

They can sense it. The petite girl is looking down on them. They are both older and have higher cultivation, but that girl is looking down on them.

Those eyes. The eyes of a lord casting down the grovelling peasants.

“YAHHHH!” As the Iron Hand disciple was the first to respond to Yun An, it is only right that he too is the first to take up her challenge.

Ignited by the frustration of not being able to beat her and the scorn of being belittled, his qi explodes.

His attacks are extended by the orange-red qi. At the end of every punch or kick, the qi shoots out in the shape of a fist or foot.

These tricks Yun An had her fair share. This is similar to the Soundless Palm. Although the range is inferior to the technique of Shadowless sect, its destructive power is more than enough to make up for its shortcoming. Only Lian Hua’s One Grand Palm is as powerful as these, and therefore, Yun An asks herself the question. Why the heck didn’t he use this in the first place? Was he conceited or was he being careful? And why?

The Wu clan boy who was hesitating had to rush his decision and jumped into the fray, albeit much later. He was wary of this girl who only used limited qi to handle them. If his experience is worth any penny, she was fighting them as a level six of Foundation stage, one who hasn’t reached Upper Qi manipulation. Regardless of whether she was underestimating them or trying to incite their anger and, along with it, their carelessness, she has enough strength to back that attitude. This is why he didn’t want to recklessly charge in. She is the stronger foe. It’s better to be patient and wear her out than to play in her palm. This invitation can be a trap. Moreover, she got a weapon now.

He wanted to carefully approach this opponent, but his ally was acting rashly. He couldn’t stand there though. If he doesn’t assist, the girl will make short work of that guy. One-on-one against her will guarantee his defeat.

Damn him and his impulse!

Two boys against one girl is humiliating enough. If they lose to her in front of this many people, he doesn’t know where he could hide his face.

Despite biting his lower lip in frustration, he comes to his aid in earnest.

He jumps off the ground.

With the Iron Hand boy keeping her occupied, he provides range support from above. Unlike other martial arts, aerial attacks are a specialty of Wu Clan’s Dragon Claws.

His qi flows out from his arms. It condenses in a transparent green dragon. The dragon whose length is around thrice his height departs its creator.

As directed by his claw strike, the dragon rushes forward, baring its claws.

Yun An had observed her opponent enough to know how this martial art works. The practitioner opens their fingers wide and points the end of their nail forward. They attack by clawing their target in an arc or pushing their hands forward grazing the body of their foe. These attacks mimic a dragon when it flies by the terrain. Anything that gets caught in its claws will be torn apart. Many times those hands passed by her shoulders and riddle Yun An’s clothes with small cuts. She could hear how sharp the wind was as his fingers missed her ears. He would have drawn blood if she didn’t avoid properly.

That descending dragon should operate in a similar manner. Thus, there is no reason to fear its gaping maw. Her only concern should be the gliding claws.

As the dragon is near them, the boy from Wu clan alerts his ally.

The boy with wrist-guard frustratedly dodge to the side, making way for the dragon.

The qi dragon speeds up at close range, but Yun An has already gotten out of its path when her opponent disengaged.

The ring is ploughed up with many ditches on its pavement as the dragon passes through where Yun An used to be.

The dragon continues to skim the ground for several more metres before taking off and turning its head.

Yun An exhales, knowing beforehand it wouldn’t be simple to deal with. In the first place, her opponent should have known she had direct linesight of what he was doing on the air, and yet he attempted it with his ally on the way. It was certain to her at that point that the dragon wasn’t intended to just make a frontal attack.

At the moment, Yun An is facing the wrist-guard boy in front. The dragon on the left is coming back. The other fighter on the right is landing and making his next move.

Yun An can recall the boy before he dodged. His eyes clearly tried to predict how she would react to the dragon and the alert of his ally. He would have jumped to the same direction as Yun An and continued his assault to distract her from the returning dragon.

Evading the dragon at the last second is not a big deal to Yun An. Rather if she didn’t wait for him to make the move first, it would have been annoying right now.

Unsurprisingly the first of the three to close the distance is the Iron Hand disciple. She knows well what he is intending. He wants to make one last distraction before the dragon approaches.

Her kick erupts with power. One is enough to pause her opposing foe. Then it is the job for her sword to disperse the dragon.

The slash opens up the dragon head, destroying it in the process.

From afar, Lian Hua makes a pondering expression.

Spending the few weeks with her junior master, Lian Hua was sure Yun An’s sword would call down a torrent of wind. She was so sure she could read her junior master that well. Overwhelming her opponent with a display of strength is her junior master’s way. It may be overkill to waste it on a qi dragon, but it is not without merit. Her junior master could potentially startle the two fighters with that one move. It’s a good idea to thwart their attempt in catching her on two fronts.

Lian Hua, of course, doesn’t know the fractures Yun An sustained after the incident with Chen An. In the current state, the stress from a wind howl would be transferred from her sword down to her hand. It’s not as taxing as using her fist, but using a sword with her full strength is not without problem.
