Volume 1: Transmigration

Chapter 1: Moonlit Night

"They" stared at the System panel in front of them with a seemly bored look on their face, just staring waiting for something interesting to happen.

[Ding!] "they" were startled by the sudden sound that came from the System panel.

[Sutiable Individual for the skill [Sloth] found! Do you wish to access said individuals' files? Yes/No?] "they" were surprised it had been thousands of years since the last time someone was compatible with the [Sloth] skill of the [Fourteen Capitals] series.

'Access Fille' "they" command their System.

"They" nearly fell out of their chair when they saw Ines' file, they had expected at most a 5,000% compatibility with the [Sloth] skill since that was the highest it had reached in the records. But here was a human that reached a staggering 100,000%! Such a number was maybe only seen once or twice in a Trillion years! And this human didn't even just have Skill compatibility to reach that level but also a Race!

[Ding! The System has created a recommended package for Transmigration for the Individual [Ines Aceor]. Would you like to view the package? Scene Change(MC)...…

It had been yet another sleepless night for Ines because of this he had decided to go down to the docks as he always did when he couldn't sleep, he got up from his bed and started opening his bedroom door out into the living room, quickly he made his way through his bland house and making his way to the front door, walking out of his house he stood still for a moment deciding on which route to take this time. He decided on the shortest route this time as he just wanted to gaze at the Moon while the aroma of the sea surrounded him.

Throughout his life, the only thing he had found where he could feel something other than pain was staring at the Moon, the feeling he had about anything else was just simply nothing, he had not felt anything other than physical pain nearly since the moment he was born, the Moon had been the only light in his life that let him experience something other than physical pain after all. He had no way to describe the feeling he felt when he looked at the moon since he knew nothing of feelings, but if he had known about such things he would have said it was genuine Happiness, but alas he would probably never find out what the feeling was, at least in the life he was currently living.

His life was not something remarkable after all he was just working a dead-end retail job leading a very boring life where nothing changes and ever will, his only true wish was to just be dead. Don't mistake it for wanting to die he just simply wishes that he could disappear, yet this simple wish will probably not be granted until he dies of old age.

Finally, he had made it to the dock now all there was left to do was lay down at his usual spot where he normally fell asleep, walking over to his spot he heard someone call out to him.

"Aye, buddy!" turning around he saw a hooded man walking toward him.

"Um, hello?" he said.

"Alright, buddy here's the deal imma need ya to hand over all ya cash and ya phone unless ya want some action with ma knife. Alright?" The hooded man said while taking out a knife from his jacket, slowly he came closer to Ines.

"Let me get some action with that knife then." Ines said calmly to the hooded man.

"I'll really stab ya, buddy. So just hand over ya cash, okay?" The hooded man said putting the knife up Ines' neck and cutting just enough to draw a slight amount of blood. Feeling this Ines started to smirk thinking that maybe he could finally die.

"C'mon then do it, coward." Ines sneered at the hooded man.

"Alright so be it, buddy!" The hooded man said in a shaky voice as he pulled the knife backward and then into Ines' stomach. Seeing what the man was doing Ines felt glee and smiled for what was probably the first time in his life.

*SHNK* He felt the knife cut through his skin and then pass into his right kidney then a fuzzy warm feeling spread from the area he was stabbed in. The man then pulled out the now crimson knife blood spilling out in the process and went for Ines' stomach. Ines could feel the knife now entering his stomach craving its way through his stomach wall and the blood spilling into the now open stomach through the hole, and the only thigh he could do was smile for he knew his fate was now sealed completely. The man seeing the smile on Ines' face pulled out the bloody knife in both fear and disgust, the stood still for but a moment before realizing what he had just done, the moment it hit him he ran as fast as he could not wanting to get arrested for murder.

Ines hit the deck of the dock soon after the man had run away, laying there bleeding out he stretched his arm out towards the moon in the night sky.

"So long old friend." He said warmly towards the moon.

"I finally got my wish so this is the last time I will see you." He said as the warmth of the blood spread throughout his body.

"My whole life I've only had one wish you know?" He said as the blood slowly formed a pool around him.

"And that is to die. And today it was finally fulfilled!" He said with satisfaction in his voice as his face got paler.

Closing his eyes he only had one last thing to say. "Such a beautiful Moonlit Night." And such 'Moonlit Night' became his last words on earth.

[Transfer successful! Issuing System Tutorial for the Target…. Tutorial Started! Transmigration Completed!] "They" were happy, finally something interesting was happening! They had been bored for quite some time as there had been no new Gods or Demon Lords in the last 10.000 years and now it looked like there would be a new one joining their ranks.

Little did "they" know that Ines would do much greater things than they excepted but that is a story for the future.
