Chapter 152: Outburst.

"Say everything you said a moment ago... while you look into my eyes," said Shido as his eyes glowed bright orange.

Hideo felt a bit odd as he held Shido by his collar. The guy was passive from the start, so he thought Shido was some kind of a pushover, but now he is seeing something else. A threatening look on his face with two heat-radiating eyes. He didn't know how could a quirkless person could do such a thing but that was not even the first thing in his mind.

He was in an advantageous position and quite enjoying the humiliating Shido, so he continued.

"What? You want me to say how big of a conman you are, while I look into your eyes? Do you really have any self-respect left after pulling this disgusting trick today? You don't deny it but you bask in it! What a pathetic excuse of existence you are?" said Hideo.

"Just say it..." growled Shido.

"Okay, Fine!"

As Hideo was about to speak, the orange glow in Shido's eyes started to grow brighter and brighter. 

"I said--"
*Prring* *Prring* *Prring*

Before he could even speak, the fire alarms' sharp noise started to resound in the event hall. This made the crowd surrounding Hideo and Shido go erratic. But in the middle of the erratic crowd, Shido stood unfazed, while Hideo loosened his grip over Shido's collar and was about to join the fray to exit the restaurant. 

Then out of Hideo's expectation, Shido held him by his collar with his eyes still glowing. "Let go of me, you freak!" shouted Hideo as he struggled in Shido's grip.

"Say it Hideo... and look me in the eyes."

"What the fuck, you maniac! Let go of me!"

This time Shido didn't say anything. He had enough and he no longer needed to listen to what this person had to say anymore. Laser beams in Shido's eyes charged for a second and were about to leave his eyes.

But out of nowhere, Isao jumped on Shido's back and turned his head up, making the lasers hit the ceiling.

Shido, who earlier was caught by surprise, turned around and threw Isao with a flick of his hand. Isao crashed into a wall, but because of this Hideo was out of Shido's grip.

"... Hideo... Run..." said Isao who was struggling to get up and with that, Hideo ran towards the exit like it was the end of the world. Soon he got mixed in with the crowd. Indistinguishable and inseparable.

With Hideo leaving the scene, Shido turned to the prime reason for his headache, Isao.

As the alarms went off, the crowd rushed towards the exit. Actually, there was no fire at all. Instead, someone purposefully set the fire alarms off. But the people were too panicked to take the news at face value and just wanted to leave.

On the exit, the bodyguards of party attendants and the security guards were facilitating the rushed departure of a huge crowd in such a short time frame. But contrary to the flow of the crowd, Iwao (Knuckleduster) & Jin (Twice) were running toward the event hall. 

When they reached the event hall, only Shido, Isao, Fuyumi, and Moe could be seen standing as the rest of the people had left for the exit. 

In front of them, Shido was standing near a groveling Isao, and Fuyumi was standing still watching everything happening right in front of her. Meanwhile, Moe was feeling a bit complicated about whether to leave or stay but after she saw Shido shooting lasers from his eyes, she decided to stay and watch everything from a distance.

Iwao and Jin went to Fuyumi. "Hey, why don't you stop him?" Iwao asked Fuyumi but he got no reply.

"Bosslady! Stop Bossman, or his cover will blow up!" Jin urged Fuyumi to stop Shido as it was evident what he was about to do but she still didn't budge. Fuyumi just stood like a statue without any facial movement. It seemed like her soul left her body.

A bright light flashed twice behind Isao. When he turned back to look, he found Caos. "What are you doing here?" asked Iwao scornfully.

Even if Caos is on their side now, her presence is not that appreciated by the members of Night Raid. The sourness from the 'Battle of Los Angeles' was still there.

"Just got rid of a peeping tom, and now I am here to take you all back home," said Caos as she walked up to them.

"What about Bossman?!" said Jin as he pointed to Shido who was still looking down at Isao who was still struggling to get up. "And what about her?" he then pointed to Fuyumi.

"You don't need to worry at all about them. Just come with me and all will be fine. You guys will still get paid. Now come on, I don't have enough time," said Caos.

Though reluctant, Iwao and Jin agreed to the wishes of the sub-holder of [Law of Space]. If she wanted, she easily could've teleported them back home and their consents wouldn't have mattered at all.

A bright light covered Jin, Iwao, & Caos and then they were nowhere to be seen.

Shido stood in front of a groveling Isao.

"Kill me... What you are waiting for?" said Isao.

"Kill you... What for?"

Shido talking to him instead of directly shooting him with those laser beams and now he is asking for reasons to kill him, which surprised Isao.

"Are you not upset that I threatened you?"

"Upset? Heh!" Shido chuckled. "When you threatened me with all of those videos and documents, I was confused at first but it didn't upset me. It amused me. Ooph,.. Rich CEO Isao Nagamine offers me a normal life if I play by his rules. Chance to play at the palace. Who? Lil ol' me?" Shido's entire demeanor changed from a silent terminator to a talkative ranter in a second.

"I was only trying to--" Isao tried to justify himself but Shido cut him off.

"You have no idea what's going on!" shouted Shido. "You're a teensy tiny man in your teensy weensy little bubble," said Shido as he brought his two fingers to show how small Isao's threats were to him.

"...I gave you an option, Shido... If you don't act rashly, You can live with your family peacefully."

"Oh, You look down on me! You pity me... No! I look down on you... as you grovel beside my legs," said Shido. "Do you know why I didn't kill you there in the washroom? Not because of that measly document that you prepared to deter me. No! It's because your existence is too SMALL! I don't care about it! I don't care about your feelings or the promises that you made to dead people!

It's NOTHING to me! It's a bacterium! I travel in a world that you can't even imagine! You can't conceive what I'm capable of! I am so far beyond you! You are right, I am a god in human clothing!" Shido shouted at Isao. He then picked Isao up and looked straight in his eyes.

"I killed Genesis, the single biggest threat to the world as his revenge would've burned the world! I carried a nuclear missile on my shoulder, so it doesn't fall on innocents! I killed all the bad villains which you impotent judicial system couldn't! And when I try to go back home to have a good night's sleep, you tell me I can't because I made a mistake!

I don't make mistakes. Why do I have to prove my humanity? And why do I have to prove it to you? I am stronger, I am smarter... I am better... I am BETTER than you!

First, it was HPSC, then it was you! You all think you can control everything!" Shido threw Isao, making him crash into a wall. This time Isao didn't have any strength left to even crawl. He barely could open his eyes.

"Then control your DEATH!" said Shido and then his whole body started to glow and orange veins could be seen around his neck, reaching up to his face and suddenly he started emitting huge amounts of heat. It seemed like he was about to explode.

Amidst the chaos, Fuyumi still stood there unfazed. Caos returned back alone in the event hall and slowly walked up to Fuyumi.

"I think it's your time to leave. Things are pretty heated up here..." said Caos.

"Tell me, Caos... What did I do wrong?" said Fuyumi in a voice void of feelings.

"I didn't get it... What are you asking again?"

Fuyumi continued, "I can feel he's not Shido that I know. That means it's the work of [Law of Chaos] that you mentioned that day, So... What did I do wrong that this happened?"

"I don't think blaming yourself is the most productive thing to do in such a situation. So let's go..." said Caos and directly teleported Fuyumi and herself out of the restaurant, leaving a glowing Shido who was emitting large amounts of heat and a barely conscious Isao alone in the event hall.
