Ultimately, Su Zhi’en was allowed to stay. After she finished brewing the medicine for Jiang Chen, she excitedly ran upstairs to look for her son. “Jiang Wei?”
“Why are you yelling? Young Master Jiang hasn’t woken up yet! Master Jiang said that you are allowed to stay and brew the medicine, but he didn’t say that you could disturb his son!” When Aunt Lin saw Su Zhi’en calling for Jiang Wei, she angrily intervened.
However, Su Zhi’en couldn’t be bothered with Aunt Lin. She had already gotten Jiang Chen’s permission so no one else could stop her from looking for her son. When Su Zhi’en heard that her son hadn’t woken up yet, she immediately went to the kitchen to make her son an exquisite breakfast.
She didn’t know what Jiang Wei liked to eat, so she just made something his siblings would like. She always felt that her children enjoyed the same things. Su Zhi’en then carried the food to the second floor and looked for Jiang Wei’s bedroom based on her memories from last night.
Knock, knock, knock.
“Jiang Wei, it’s Aunt Zhi’en. Are you awake? I made you some breakfast. I prepared custard buns, chicken porridge with a preserved egg, and banana pancakes. I think you’ll like them.”
Su Zhi’en managed to find the room and gently knocked on the door. She then called out to Jiang Wei. However, she was a little disappointed. She called out to him a few times, but there were still no signs of movement inside the bedroom.
‘He hasn’t woken up yet, has he?’ Su Zhi’en was about to leave and wait downstairs for a while when a small figure suddenly appeared in the corridor to her right. “What are you doing here? Who let you come upstairs?”
Su Zhi’en was shocked. She turned her head and saw that Jiang Wei was not in the room. “Jiang Wei? So you were already awake. Let’s go downstairs and have some breakfast. Are you hungry? Why aren’t you wearing a coat?”
Jiang Wei didn’t pay any attention to her. Instead, he just turned around and left. Su Zhi’en seemed helpless. She was very patient with Jiang Wei, especially when he was reluctant to interact with her. She proceeded to follow him.
Soon, they came across a wide-open garden. At this time, Jiang Wei ran straight to the children’s playground to play. ‘So this is how rich people lived.’ Su Zhi’en placed the food she brought over onto a marble table in the garden and walked toward the playground. “Jiang Wei, let’s have some breakfast before we play, okay? Otherwise, you’ll starve.”
“No!” Jiang Wei retorted impatiently.
Su Zhi’en felt troubled. ‘This is one tough kid to coax. He doesn’t seem to behave like his brother at all. Yu’an just ate obediently without even being told.’ Su Zhi’en squatted beside Jiang Wei and thought for a moment. “Jiang Wei, I’m guessing that you want to go and visit your father, right? So, how about this, as long as you finish your breakfast, I’ll promise to take you to him.”
It seems that Su Zhi’en was right. ‘This is what children with autism are like. They are detached and refuse to interact with others. However, there is someone that Jiang Wei relies on very much, and no one could separate Jiang Wei from that person.’
Su Zhi’en felt a little jealous of Jiang Chen. ‘One day, Jiang Wei is going to rely on me instead!’
Jiang Wei ended up eating the breakfast that Su Zhi’en had brought up. When Aunt Lin came up to collect the dishes, her eyes opened wide. “Young Master Jiang, did you eat all of this?”
“Yes, he ate all of it. Is there something wrong?” Su Zhi’en felt that it was strange when she heard this. ‘This is a child’s normal appetite. Why did she react that way? Does Jiang Wei usually have a small appetite?’
Jiang Wei didn’t usually eat much at home. He would only eat a little bit of food unless his father personally made it for him.
Aunt Lin carried the dishes downstairs in shock. She then pondered for a moment and proceeded to call Tong Jingxian. “Miss Tong, that woman is suspicious. She cooked some food for Jiang Wei, and he ate all of it.”
“Really?” Tong Jingxian was trimming some branches when she heard this on the other side of the phone. With a snap, she accidentally cut some flowers.
“Yes, I saw it with my own eyes! I lied to Master Jiang and told him that the food he had cooked for Young Master Jiang was still available, so he went straight to work. I waited for him to leave and proceeded to cook some food on my own for Young Master Jiang, but he didn’t eat any of it.
I would’ve called you and asked you to cook for him, but that annoying woman came over again,” Aunt Lin said in disgust over the phone as though she wanted to kick Su Zhi’en out of Fu Mansion immediately.

Tong Jingxian was in a daze as she held the scissors in her hand and continued cutting away. She ended up cutting up a whole pot of flowers that were in perfect condition.
“Miss Tong?”
“That’s completely fine as long as Jiang Wei is getting enough to eat. Everything has to be done with Jiang Wei’s health in mind.” Tong Jingxian put down the scissors, closed her eyes to suppress her anger, and comforted Aunt Lin gently on the phone.
Hearing this, Aunt Lin was so touched that her eyes began to tear up. The worry that she felt concerning Su Zhi’en had subsided. “You’re too kind, Miss Tong. You’re so generous even in this situation. But it’s okay. We still have plenty of opportunities to convince Master Jiang to let you come back to Fu Mansion.” Aunt Lin promised Tong Jingxian once more before hanging up the phone.
‘Su Zhi’en, huh? I won’t allow you to hang around here any longer..’
