A dark portal formed in one of the apartment rooms as a white-haired youth stepped out of it. His entire body was soaked in blood and a pungent smell of sweat escaped from his clothes. Despite being in such a miserable state, Draco couldn't stop himself from smiling.
"Status," Draco muttered.

The user can exhibit the pressure of a general, someone who grew up on the battlefield. By using this skill, the user can instill fear into his enemies. For the user's comrades, however, it will have the opposite effect and make them unconsciously rely on the user. This skill's capability will decrease according to the rank of the enemy.

"Out of all the choices, this was the best one." Draco smiled slightly, removing the screen from his way. It wasn't the most useful now, but it would definitely be quite a good one during the war. Especially if he would be the one commanding the troops.
He could have chosen a three-star sword manual, but he decided against it. It would only be a matter of time before he got his hands on his desired manual, and learning two manuals at the same time wasn't the best choice. In his past life, he saw too many geniuses wasting their time because of being too greedy, and he didn't want that to happen to him.
Other than that, Draco was quite dissatisfied. [World Travel] couldn't be used in the next 57 days; it was quite an enormous increase from the last time.
"Will the time increase in the future too, or is it random?" Draco wondered. Now that he thought about it, he didn't know that much about this mysterious skill, nor how did he gain it. The only thing he knew was that it was connected to his coming back to the past.
Draco suddenly started having a headache as he brushed all this trouble for later on. There were too many unknown factors at hand. For now, he could only do more quests and hope for an answer.
"I should probably clean up..." Draco glanced down at his body. If any students saw him completely soaked in blood like that, Draco was sure they would pass out from shock. At least there was some good news since his body had returned to its original state, though his shoulder still ached quite a bit.
Draco glanced at the clock, noting that it was still Sunday since he had finished the mission earlier than expected. Messaging Adam through the phone, Draco then threw it on the bed and got into the shower.
He decided to raid that place tonight.

"Draco, you are late by ten minutes," Adam stood beneath the tree, half of his face hidden in the shadows.
"By eleven." Draco corrected, pushing his hood away. "Don't hide in the shadows and come here. It makes you look scary."
Adam sighed before complying. He walked forth and revealed his handsome face, which was clearly exhausted since Draco decided to meet up at night.
"So, have you investigated it?" Draco asked, stretching out a bit.
"I did. Even though the entire place is filled with guards, we should have no problems sneaking inside. However, to get into his room, we have to somehow get rid of his bodyguards who are guarding him 24/7." Adam briefed upon the situation.
"Their ranks?"
"Should be around [G+]"

"How long for other guards to come when the alarms start?"
"1 minute."
"Then there's no problem." Draco nodded as he concentrated on his ring. Soon, two black masks appeared in his hand and he handed one of them to Adam, who took it without saying anything.
'No problem?' Adam thought to himself. Did Draco believe that he could take care of two [G+] ranks in two minutes? Of course, there was the element of surprise but it still seemed ridiculous. Adam had some doubts but decided not to state them. If anything happens, Adam could easily escape with Draco.
"Still, I can't understand why you are trying to rob one of the council members of Northern city. Yes, he seems to be quite rich, but even I have some morals." Adam complained, yet still put on the mask. "Isn't he a good guy?"
"Nope, he is actually helping foreigners transport vast masses of drugs into our city and later reaps all the profit. In a way, he is probably the greatest drug lord in our city." Draco answered without a change in his expression.
Whatever.
Adam pretended like he heard nothing and just sighed to himself. He didn't even want to know how Draco found out about all of this; it seemed like a headache.
"Before we begin." Draco extended his hand into the air as mana surged from the tip of his fingers, causing a paper to appear in the air. Draco gave it to Adam. "You just need to sign it and the deal is made."
Adam carefully read through the soul contract, his eyes widening the more he read. There were quite a few conditions on Draco's part, however, there were only three on Adam's part.
1. The signee has to help Draco steal something whenever he asks.
2. The signee will have to join Draco's mercenary group when it is formed.
3. The signee will have to make Draco alcoholic drinks when he asks for them.
Adam ignored the last component and just focused on the first two. Compared to Draco's part, it was definitely much better. Not thinking for long, Adam bit into his thumb and dropped a bit of blood on the top of the mana contract. It shrunk rapidly before disappearing into thin air.
"So you really have a way to save her." Adam sighed in relief when he saw the same carefree Draco. It felt like a great boulder came off his shoulders.
"I do." Draco nodded, then put on the hood for further concealment. "Now, let's go."
Adam also nodded, putting his hand on Draco's shoulder. "Are you sure you can handle it? First-timers usually need some time to recuperate."
"I am sure."
Hearing the answer, Adam activated his skill. Immediately, the ground beneath them disappeared and Draco felt his feet sinking into some sort of cement. Before long, Draco was in complete darkness, not feeling anything but his own breathing.
It felt nauseating, to say the least. He puked the first he had experienced this, but it wasn't the case anymore. Being in this darkness, Draco could finally focus on his thoughts.
The reason Draco valued Adam so much was because of this skill that let him move through the shadows. It was a perfect skill for sneaking somewhere or ambushing an enemy. The skill was so useful that even S-ranked heroes couldn't really detect his presence, and his only weakness was those with special detection skills.
'If Adam wasn't so weak, he would probably become a formidable foe.' Draco thought. These were his honest feelings since he could make a perfect assassin. It's a pity he hated fighting.
Soon, Draco saw light in the darkness as he appeared behind two individuals dressed in suits. He immediately activated [Berserker] and surged mana into his sword, finally catching their attention.
However, it was too late.
Draco cleanly sliced their heads off, causing the entire hall to be drenched in blood. Adam, who stood beside Draco, frowned at the sight and turned his head away.
'Hmm... he is still the same.' Draco thought. Perhaps if Adam tried, he could become stronger, but he just disliked anything involved with battles. Blood, killing, and fighting in general; he hated all of this.
Draco removed all the useless thoughts from his head and opened the door into the prime minister's room. The council member was a man with an enormous belly and long, greasy hair. He didn't have the appearance of a government official, but it was actually normal since he had to spend most of his time in this room.
He was definitely shocked by the sudden intrusion and pressed the alarm button.
"Who the hell-" he tried to say something when Draco suddenly threw a dagger toward him. Being on the weaker spectrum of humanity, the prime minister didn't have enough time to dodge, thus the dagger pierced him right through the head.
Then Draco walked towards his desk and began opening all the drawers. He spent almost forty seconds rummaging through his belongings until eventually finding the thing he was looking for. Draco picked up a plain, black orb the size of an eyeball.
To some people, it would look like some junk.
However, Draco thought otherwise.
It was the key to the place of Draco's most desired treasure.
"Is this it? We came to rob the council member just for this thing?" Adam asked, once again not understanding Draco. The more time he spent with him, the more bizarre he became.
"Yeah." Draco placed it into his ring as he heard the sound of approaching steps in the hallway. Adam grabbed Draco onto his shoulder and they disappeared from the spot, leaving behind no evidence and three dead bodies.
