[ Black Lotus Cult - Demon Prison Cave ]

A huge underground cave stretched out before their eyes. The underground cave was so huge that if not for the illuminated stalagmite hanging all over to light up the place, it would be impossible to even guess the size.

"Ahh!"

"Ow"

Cries of the victims came from all over. After being stuck in a place where there has been no light for the past few months, suddenly being exposed to such intense light hurt so much as if their eyeballs were about to burst out.

Out of everyone, I seemed to get the worst pain as tears streamed down my eyes which felt like they were being stabbed by thousands of needles at the same time.

I immediately squinted my eyes.

The adults ignored the screaming children and proceeded into the underground cave...

The cave seemed to have been formed naturally. The huge azure glowing stalactites hanging from the ceiling were proof. The cave's structure was that it narrowed as it went up, like a bowl that had been turned upside down. Inside the cave was an entire replica of a giant mansion with multiple buildings made out of wood.

The buildings were made crudely as if they were modeled after an Emperor's manor.

"What?"

"What is this?"

The children, who recovered their sight belatedly, were surprised to find the buildings. It was already amazing to find such a huge underground cave. But seeing the wooden buildings standing in the middle which were made by human hands made them vigilant.

A light of suspicion appeared on Chun Jiao's face. They continued to search all the other buildings, but they haven't found anyone.

The children had bewildered faces. They were wary that they would discover another person, but they didn't know what to do now that they were alone.

While the children were bewildered, I didn't stop inspecting the building.

The building wasn't very old. Judging from the condition of the wood, it was clear that it was made recently. The grain of the wood and the dust that had accumulated on it made it clear that it was made during the time I and the children were locked up in each section.

As a result, the building itself was in poor condition.

From the outside, it looked fine, but on the inside, it was terrible. Only the appearance looked okay, but the inside was so crude that a person couldn't live.

It was as if they had deliberately constructed it that way on purpose.

I thought there must be a reason.

One of the truths he learned while wandering the world alone is that everything happens for a reason. If a beggar who was begging next to him was beaten to death, it meant that he had no eyes that could accurately judge the person he was begging from.

If someone offered food to him, they must also have a reason for doing so. Probably the figure of the beggar would have reminded them of their child or someone close to them.

If they were beaten up then the reason was simple.

Because the person he was begging for wasn't very good.

Suddenly, I stopped when I saw our "saviors" sitting in lotus positions in the middle of the building's garden.

Immediately as children began to pour into the garden the saviors stood up and formed rows as a new individual walked to the front that caused all the victims to be taken aback.

Standing in the middle of their " saviors " was a dark blue-skinned man who was around their shoulder's height with long silky black hair. Golden horns outstretched from his temples but the most eye-catching thing about this entity was that greyish golden snakes seemed to be growing out of his back.

" Is that a demon ?"

" Who is that ?"

" Am I still dreaming ?"

The whispers of the children echoed throughout the cave causing the strange entity to clap as a loud bang echoed throughout the cave causing some of the children to drop to the ground while holding their sensitive ears.

" It looks like I have your attention." The Entity said with a smile as he ignored the moans of pain from the children whose ears bleed.

Seeing some on the ground as an example, everyone stood straight giving their undivided attention to the entity.

" Well, I can't convey my words if there isn't silence made." The Entity said with a smile that caused everyone to shake in fear while those that were moaning in pain clasped their mouths with their hands to keep themselves quiet.

" Awe, now why are you so scared? Is it because of my scary appearance, isn't it ?"

" .... "

An absolute silence met the entity's question as Biyu coughed as she whispered," Captain, now's not the time to ask a bunch of mortals."

' So, he is the leader of these people.' I thought as I saw the creature's dark Amber eyes and black irises.

For a second, my gaze shifted towards Xiao Fei who seemed to be standing in the back with an extreme level of discipline.

The man who would blow off on any one of us was now so obediently. If that wasn't evidenced enough that this thing was the leader then I don't know what will.

" My friends, I, stand before you like the concubine of an Old Emperor not knowing what to do," The entity paused as he tried to take in the crowd's reactions which weren't much causing him to sigh.

" I know that all of you have been victims to these monsters. You look at my appearance and see a monster but when you look at him what do you see ?!" The Entity shouted out as he pointed to the side of the building where the corpse of a middle age man was slumped over.

' What is this about ?' I thought as my eyes narrowed at the creature who suddenly had tears in his eyes.

" My friends! I am not the monster, I am special just like you !"

The Entity's words caused whispers to begin generating in the crowd.

Undeterred by the crowd's whispers, the blue-skinned half-ogre exclaimed," Do you see it ?!"

The Entity's words followed as a blueish hue enveloped his arms before it began to spread out in the form of bubbles all around the shell-shocked children.

A blue bubble floated towards me as I couldn't help but poke at it before it popped into smaller bubbles.

My mind didn't have any thoughts as I waved my hand through the bubbles.

" Children! I ask of you, do you see this ?"

" Y, Yes."

Small whispers began to build up in the crowd only for it to result in a giant shout that caused the entity to smile.

"This my friends," The entity exclaimed as the blueish bubbles gathered in his palms creating a blueish orb," is Spiritual Qi."

The entity's words ended with the orb suddenly igniting into a ball of flames that he threw at the crowd causing many to try to run away but their bodies seemed to be stuck by some kind of force.

My eyes turned towards Biyu who was holding some kind of talisman in her hands.

Many closed their eyes at seeing the orb of flames coming towards them.

Suddenly the flaming orb shattered into flaming butterflies.

All of the victims looked at the spectacle with mesmerizing eyes as they saw the flaming butterflies disappear into the cave ceiling.

" This is the power of Spiritual Qi! My friends, powers like these are not common, they are only given to those who have been chosen by the heavens! My friends, all of you; are chosen to walk not the path of a mortal but the path of a God!"blue-skinned

( ~ Gasps ~ )

Multiple gasps went through the crowd as everyone looked at the entity in shock.

" This is the reason why you were chosen, these people wanted to use your gifts for a coup d'état against the mortal world's empires but that is not a world worthy of you !" The Entity gasconaded.

" My friends! If you don't have the means to refine your heavenly gifts and walk the path of heavenly murim then you are just wasting your potential of becoming Gods."

The Entity's words ended with an absolute silence of the crowd who looked at him in shock, awe, and even reverence.

" My friends! My sect" the black lotus sect" opens its doors for you."

Excitement stirred in the crowd but someone in the front raised his hand causing the entity to look at the young androgynous male.

" What is it, my friend ?"

" C, Can I go back to my home ?" The children's words caused everyone to stop as the blue-skinned entity asked," Do you want to give up the path of a God and waste your potential as a mortal ?"

The children hesitated before remembering his sick little sister as he nodded.

" I respect your choice. Does anyone else want to go back ?"

No one moved at the Entity's question who smiled meanwhile I hesitated.

I knew these people couldn't be trusted and even if I saw the way out. The look in the blue-skinned entity's eyes as the child said those words told me something bad is going to happen if I ask to go back.

Trusting my gut on this, I stayed back as Biyu took a crystal ball from her sleeves before throwing it up in the air it glowed bright causing everyone to freeze up before they went unconscious.

Meanwhile, Ming Fei, the only child that wanted to go back shivered in fear as he saw everyone blackout.

" A, A, A " The children stuttered as they looked at the blue-skinned entity who smiled as he asked," Do you want to go back ?"

The child shook his head in denial causing the entity to smirk as the serpents on his back slithered before lunging at the child.

" Ahhhhhhhh !" The screams of the child echoed throughout the cave as he was eaten alive by the snakes of the blue-skinned ogre.
