[ POV Change ]

[ Black Lotus Cult - Demon Prison Cave ]

Yue Fei walked alongside the servants who carried stacks of scrolls as they approached the training field, Yue Fei's voice boomed with authority. "Listen up, you bastards! Today, we start your weapon training. Choose wisely, for your weapon will determine the path of martial arts you will follow for the rest of your life."

With a snap of his finger, a box-like object shot out from his ring and expanded in the field, revealing itself to be a shelf of weapons. The weapons glimmered in the light that filtered through the cave's openings, each one polished to perfection and sharpened to a razor's edge.

The Jiao, Dao, and Spear were the basic weapons, made of high-quality steel. But there were also more unconventional weapons such as the chain sword, made of dark metal links and a sharp blade at the end. The children marveled at the sight, eager to choose their weapons.

While some eagerly ran forwards, many chose to think about it more critically but for me, this decision had already been made weeks ago.

Xu Wen'an, stepped forward to ask me which weapon I had chosen. "The war saber," I replied confidently, remembering the journal of Alexander that I had read. Xu Wen'an frowned, as she remembered that this was the weapon of that bastard, Alexander.

A servant picked up the war saber and a scroll, both of which were handed to me. The sword was made of a dark-colored metal, its edge sharp and gleaming. The hilt was wrapped in black leather, with a red gemstone adorning the pommel. The scroll was made of high-quality paper, filled with detailed illustrations of the various forms and techniques of the saber.

"The scroll contains the basics of the saber, as well as the seven-star saber arts," Xu Wen'an explained. "This martial arts cultivation technique will help you build up your sensitivity to Spiritual Qi and physical strength."

As I nodded in understanding, I noticed Chun Jiao holding onto a chain blade. The blade was similar to mine in many ways, made of dark metal with a sharp edge and wrapped hilt. But what set it apart was the small button on the side, which could release the chain.

As I walked away from the training grounds, I couldn't help but glance back at Ye Mo, the brown-haired bully who had been tormenting Xie Dongyi. I could see the fear in Ye Mo's eyes as I flash my saber towards him, but it didn't stop him from trying to act tough and threatening me.

"You think you're so tough with that weapon, huh? I'll show you," he spat, but I could see the fear in his eyes as he turned and ran away. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. This guy was such a coward. He only picks on the weak because he knows he can't handle someone who can fight back.

I made my way to Alexander's lab to grab the cuffs he called "Rock Lee's weights." I knew that these weights would aid me in my training, and I couldn't wait to start using them but that had to wait until I was free enough to go to the lab.

I picked up my saber, feeling the weight of the weapon in my hand. I had been training with a saber for the past few weeks using Alexander's notes and a stick now, and I knew the basics like the back of my hand. I took a deep breath, focusing my mind on the task at hand.

I began with the basic stances, starting with the horse stance. I stood with my legs shoulder-width apart, my knees slightly bent, and my weight evenly distributed between both feet. I raised my saber above my head, feeling the power of the weapon flow through me.

Next, I moved into the snake stance. I shifted my weight onto one foot, bending my knees and lowering my body as I twisted my waist. I swung my saber in a wide arc, imagining an opponent in front of me. I could feel the power of the weapon as it sliced through the air.

Finally, I moved into the crane stance. I lifted one foot off the ground, standing on one leg as I balanced my weight. I raised my saber above my head, ready to strike. This was the stance that I had worked the hardest on, and I was proud of how far I had come.

With my basics stances done, it was time to move on to the attacks. I began with a simple overhead strike, bringing my saber down in a powerful arc. I could feel the strength in my arms as I swung the weapon, imagining the sound of metal striking metal as I connected with my opponent.

Next, I moved on to the thrust attack, lunging forward with my saber extended in front of me. I could feel the speed and power of the weapon as I drove it forward, imagining an opponent being skewered by my blade.

Finally, I finished with a spinning slash, twisting my body as I brought my saber down in a wide circle. I could feel the speed and grace of the movement as I swung the weapon, imagining an opponent being caught off guard by my sudden attack.

With my training complete, I stood there for a moment, feeling the adrenaline rush through my veins.

As I was training, I noticed Xie Dongyi watching me from a distance. His gaze was filled with a mix of envy and hatred, which I found odd. I approached him, and he spoke up, "You are just like me, but why are you respected by all but not me."

"Let's make one thing clear," I replied. "I am not like you. I don't cower in fear when faced with people like Ye Mo who only know how to pick on the weak. Even with my weak spiritual roots, why do you think no one tries to bully me? Because they know they will get hurt. Just wait when these little shits think that learning some martial art makes them hot shit, they will come after me, and unlike you, I won't moan and scream about my circumstances. Rather, I will fight for myself. That's the difference between you and me."

Xie Dongyi looked down as I left him to his thoughts. Maybe my words will change his outlook, but either way, I didn't care one bit. I needed to focus on my training and prepare for the day when these arrogant pricks like Ye Mo come after me.
