[ Black Lotus Cult - Demon Prison Cave ]

The massive underground cave beneath Mount Meru was a sight to behold, a seemingly never-ending expanse of darkness that could only be illuminated by the numerous torches that hung on the jagged walls. The walls themselves were a formidable sight, rough and craggy, with sharp rocks jutting out like teeth in the mouth of some subterranean beast. This was the Demon Prison Cave, a place where the Black Lotus Cult trained its demonic cultivators.

Sang In-hyo, the general director of the Demon Prison Cave, sat in his office, deep within the prison. The room was lit by an eerie green light, casting an otherworldly glow on the stacks of reports that littered his desk. "Here are the reports of the mortals, Sir," a guard said, handing him a stack of papers.

Sang In-hyo sighed as he picked up the reports. "Hmm, so fifty or so committed suicide," he muttered, skimming the pages. "Have their bodies collected and given to the Crimson Fairy Traders?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.

"As you wish, Sir," the guard replied, bowing before quickly making his exit.

Sang In-hyo leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he pondered the situation. "How much time before the initiation process begins?" he asked, his thoughts turning to the upcoming event.

"The process will begin in a few days," the guard answered, a hint of excitement in his voice.

Sang In-hyo nodded, his eyes still closed as he drifted off into thought.

[ A Few Days Later ]

The wind howled as a woman with long black hair tied in a bun approached a metallic door at the end of a hall. She had a giant scar across her face and was dressed in a white robe and scarlet hakama. She ignored the dead body on the ground and pushed open the door, revealing a nauseating stench.

"Excuse me, can you hear me? My name is Biyu, I am here to help you," she called out into the darkness.

A small voice answered, "Are you here to save me?"

Biyu replied, "Yes." A lean man appeared, with tears in his eyes.

Suddenly, he threw a glowing centipede at Biyu, who deflected it with a swipe of her tassel.

The man lunged at Biyu, his fingers elongated into human claws.

Impressed with his resourcefulness, Biyu placed a talisman on the man's head, which froze him in place. She channeled her Qi into her tassel, causing the ribbon to harden into a blade. The man braced for the pain or death, but Biyu told him to open his eyes, as he was still alive. She swung at the man, who was released from the restrictive force and fell to the ground. The man looked at his newly trimmed nails, in awe of the swordsmanship displayed.

Even though he had experienced it first, the boy thought that this was just a dream.

" Well, that was an interesting first experience.  Why don't we introduce ourselves? My name is Biyu."

The boy backed up towards the wall as he tried to look for a way to escape.

" Rude, you know I was the one who saved you," Biyu said but she could see the distrust in the boy's eyes.

With a sigh, Biyu pointed to the side causing the boy to glance before a chill went down his spine as he saw the headless corpse of a man judging from his build and lack of breasts. Besides the corpse was a bowl of scrapped foods that would be delivered to him.

The boy breathed in and out slowly before glancing back at the smiling Biyu.

" Don't worry, I am not here to hurt you, I am here to save you. So let's introduce ourselves." Biyu said with a warm smile causing the boy's eyes to narrow before he replied," I, ne...ver had a name."

Biyu nodded while asking," Then what should I call you ?"

" I don't care."

Biyu sighed and placed her hands on her hips.

" Now that won't do. Can I call you Xiǎo nánhái ( little boy )? "

" Whatever."

Biyu puffed her lips as she saw a few tears escape from the boy's eyes.

' Makes sense, he has lived in the dark for so long. It would be weird if a mortal could withstand such light after living in the dark.'

" Then let's go," Biyu said.

" Where ?"

" You'll see."

" Miss Biyu."

" No that won't be necessary, just call me Pretty Sister," Biyu said as she brushed a hair to the side.

" Pretty Sister, can I ask you something?"

Biyu clicked her tongue when the boy didn't show any reaction to her beauty.

Oh, how blind these men are to not see this jade beauty?

Biyu thought with a chuckle before asking.

" What is it ?"

" Can I see my room for the last time ?"

The boy's request was strange to Biyu.

Why would you want to go back to the place that was your prison?

Even then Biyu smiled and said," Sure."

The boy stood up and went to get the torch but Biyu was a little faster as her ribbon grabbed the torch and threw it to the boy who just caught it.

Biyu smiled at the boy who just rolled his eyes.

' I wasn't going to try to escape.' The boy thought before going back into the dark.

Even if his eyes were in a hell of a pain, he wanted to confirm something.

If those murals were real or were they some kind of coping mechanism he had developed to not go insane?

The light of the torch lit up the entire room showing the boy murals carved into stone.

It wasn't just a delusion.

The Boy sighed in relief as he began to read everything from the beginning.

[ To think a day like this would come where I, Alexander Jones, would find myself in such a place. As an atheist, I never believed in things like religion but I could feel the irony when I was born into this new world why the hell did God send me to the birthplace of Twitter; the abyss? This new body's memories are interesting yet I can't piece much together with what I presume is due to the degeneration this body experienced before my soul had taken over ]

The boy slowly stood in the room, not being able to process much.

" Hey, we don't have much time," Biyu called out from the back causing the boy to nod as he turned to the other murals.

There was no time to be shocked. He needed to read everything.

[ Day 10! Goddamnit, this isn't a dream .....

.....

As I walked down the dimly lit hallways with Biyu, I couldn't shake the thoughts in my head. Biyu was carefree, whistling a happy tune, but I was deep in thought, with a lot weighing on my mind. I had read those murals countless times before, always thinking they were just a figment of my imagination, or worse, a symptom of my own madness. But after reading them one last time, the full impact of the words carved into the walls of my prison hit me like a ton of bricks.

Despite the fact that most of it was just the rambling of Alexander, the idea that someone from another world had taken the time to carve these words into these walls was truly mind-boggling. So many questions flooded my mind as I tried to process what Alexander had written, but the weight of that last passage was what really set me back.

[ Don't trust these people that will come to save you. ]

The dimly lit hallways of my prison only added to the sense of dread and uncertainty that I felt. The silence was broken only by the sound of Biyu's whistling, but even that was enough to make me feel like I was completely alone in the world.
