Back into the hallway again. It was still basically empty. That means the rest of the classes are still writing their examinations. Wait, am I the first student to be done with it? AHHH! I should have waited until we were at the half-way point, then turned in the exam paper. Now I am going to be the lone ranger walking the halls. Hmm, am I maybe overthinking this too much?

The school campus is very large, so I wonder if I should familiarize myself with it or just call it a day and head back to the dorms because I am feeling a bit drained.

I stood there lost in thought as if it was a life or death decision, but where I stood was not too far from my new classroom.

There was the sound of a door opening and closing.

It was another student from my class. How interesting that people are deciding to come out of class now. Maybe I was the sacrificial lamb needed for everyone to hand in their exam papers. I unintentionally started a game of follow the leader.

I knew it was a 1-1 student due to the fact that the noise sounded further away from where I was standing.

I was about to walk off in the direction of the dorms. I heard a voice speaking to me.

"You there"

It was a female's voice.

I haven't heard this voice before. However, it showed some maturity.

I turned around and looked at her in a curious manner.

She stood roughly around 5'6 and wore a white dress with black heels. Her dark blue hair was wrapped up in a bun, and she had a calming aura about her.

"Um, yes. How may I assist you?"

"You are finished with your exams rather quickly, young man."

I scratched the back of my head and replied, "Did I really? It took me nearly 30 minutes."

The stranger kindly looked at me and introduced herself.

"I am Miss Amane Hatake. You may refer to me as Class 1-1's homeroom teacher. I just stepped outside to take a phone call and I noticed you, so I just had to ask."

Oh, class 1-1 actually has a soft and gentle homeroom teacher, unlike our ice cube of an instructor. I wonder if I can make a request to transfer.

"Oh hello. My name is Yuki Amaya, and I am from class 1-4."

Her expression somewhat changed from warm to somewhat concerned.

"Are you sure that you completed the test correctly? I don't think it's too late to go back and triple check your answers. I would hate for you to fail because of something avoidable like that."

Why did she switch up her manner of speaking to me when I told her which class I was from?

"Yeah, I am pretty sure that I answered the questions correctly. It's not like they were complex equations."

She trained her eyes on me in a curious manner and said, "My advice for you right now would be to enjoy your normal school life while you can because your entire class will be in for a rude awakening very soon."

A Rude Awakening, why does she sound so serious while saying that? The most important question right now is why just class 1-4? First the asterisk next to our name, then this.

"Uh, can you expand that rude awakening part a little further please? I don't quite get it."

Miss Hatake sighed and replied, "Unfortunately, my lips are sealed until it's authorized, but the most I can leave you with is that your entire class may be gone before the three years are up."

She returned to her classroom after that.

Our entire class may be gone before our three years in this school are up. What kind of joke is this?
