It was a few minutes before lunch time, and I decided that it would be the perfect time to drop off our wager agreement, to the Student Council president so it could be official.

Maybe I was being too hasty when I made that previous decision, but that was the only way that I could get a safe amount of grade points. Minori and her brother's issues should be between them alone.

I knocked twice on the wooden door of the council room and awaited a response.

"Come in." said a voice.

I turned the metal door handle, and entered the modestly sized room.

It was comparable to those typical office conference rooms, complete with a long table and a water dispenser. I must say that I am thinking twice on the offer to join the council now after seeing this.

The first person to greet me was the same person from the school clubs gathering event. If I remember correct his name is Otani Seichi and he's the council's secretary.

Otani looked at me for a moment and said, "You're Yuki Amaya right? Have you taken up my offer?"

"Uh not quite yet but is the president around?"

"Yuu Kaneko is currently preoccupied with something as of the moment but I'll be happy to pass along any messages of sorts to him."

I sighed and replied, "That's quite unfortunate. I was hoping that I could hand deliver this to him personally."

Otani thought about it for a second and gave in to my request. He led me into a smaller room which was situated on the right side.

As we entered the room, I noticed the president sitting at a desk with a female standing besides him.

I would say that she's 5'5 with a mature body, waist length light pink and something I could call a charming demeanor.

"Hey Yuu, we have a visitor."

"Otani I told you I am busy right now." said Yuu while looking towards us.

Otani nervously laughed and replied, "This is the person I was telling you about."

The female student interjected, "That's the one who spelled out the word Bored on his answer sheets?"

Heh? So they know about that as well.

Yuu Kaneko's ears perked up as he was seemingly interested now.

Otani nodded and replied, "Yes Sayuri, that's the student."

Oh so her name is Sayuri then.

Yuu Kaneko tapped his pen on the wooden desk and said, "So you're that student the principal informed us about."

I replied, "I wasn't aware news of that lowly caliber traveled around so quickly."

Sayuri sighed, "One of our jobs as the student council are to be aware of these things. After all, we are in charge of overseeing that the student experience is a pleasant one."

I cleared my throat, "Does that pleasant experience include class 1-4 as well?"

Yuu chuckled a bit and replied, "Oh yes the experimental class. We would try to make your experience here less taxing, but the board of directors orders are absolute."

"Hmm. What might those orders be?"

Sayuri said, "We've been told that assisting your class in anyway is strictly prohibited. So essentially you are frozen out and left to fend yourselves."

"Well isn't that grand?"

Yuu continued eyeing me then offered a seat which I accepted.

We are sitting face to face when he asked me a question.

"How does it feel to be lumped in with inferior students, and then thrown to the wolves?"

"Not too bad. I am actually enjoying the experience, it's not like anyone has any expectations for us other than failure."

Sayuri and Otani both listened in on our conversation.

"Interesting response. So that means you will be proactive in your attempts to prove everyone wrong about your class?"

I sighed and replied, "Proactive is a strong word, but I do have plans of systematically taking apart this school for trying to use me as some test subject. I figured I would start from one class and make my way upwards."

"You're boldly stating that infront of me, a person who benefits from the system. You do know that things can get problematic now?"

"I already have to deal with a lot of things currently. That's inclusive of the handicaps my classmates and I are being given. So adding you to my list of things, wouldn't be an much of an issue seeing that you are a target of mine."

Yuu laughed and said, "Do you know what is the progress, for electing a Student Council President and members."

"Hmm. I would hope that it's a democratic one, or is it strictly nepotism?"

Yuu reclined on his seat and said, "Not quite. In order to become a member of the student council, you need to beat us in a battle of wits. A student council team can be potentially changed every term by allowing other students to challenge the current sitting ones."

"What an interesting concept. I assumed it would have something to do with voting."

Yuu leaned in with a smirk and replied, "I became president in my very first school term here and I've been in this position for almost two years. So you can say that I am pretty much bored. So I welcome a bold statement like that."

"Since there are three terms in a school year that means, you've been sitting pretty for almost 6 terms. Would I be correct to assume that your class is also in first place, when it comes to the class clashes in your year group?"

"Yes. Class 2-1 is comfortable with a total of 300 class points."

Hmm 200 class points? These guys aren't playing around.

"That's a pretty hefty amount."

Yuu sighed, "Well it was 400 points until we were bested by class 2-4 at the last clash. 'Twas such a shame that the leader did something that underhanded."

I chuckled a bit and asked, "Who's the leader of class 2-4."

Sayuri replied, "His name is Arima Takeda. Currently his class is somewhat gaining on us with 225 class points.

So Minori's brother wasn't kidding around when he was bragging about his capabilities.

"Speaking of Arima Takeda. I want you to make something official."

Yuu said, "I am listening."

"It's a wager and I don't wish to disclose the details, so will you please ensure that which ever one of us loses, upholds our end of the deal?"

"That shouldn't be an issue."

I got up from the seat and was about to leave when I was stopped by Yuu.

"Yuki Amaya, please stay for a bit longer. I wish to see what type of person you really are. What do you think about a game of chess?"

Heh? What's his angle here?
