"Amazing, please don't make a scene. We have kids inside too"

Mckenna tried to make her sister see reason but it seemed like she was pouring water on a stone.

Amazing purposely didn't want to see reason with anything.

"When Dad told me about this woman, I said there was no way in hell! And for Jason to invite her into your home? That is lunacy ...."

Amazing was interrupted by Mckenna. 

"Jason didn't invite her inside…I did" Mckenna told her truthfully.

Amazing Donna blinked. Okay! It was settled her big sister was a lunatic.

"I am sorry, what did you just say? Because it sounded like you invited a woman that slept with your husband, got pregnant and had a child for him into your home. Are you a lunatic?!" Amazing yelled at her.

Mckenna grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side.

"Shush! You are making a scene" 

Amazing brushed her hand off.

"Am I? Do you know what your problem is, Mckenna? You are too nice and too in love with him. You can't see past his dreamy eyes and personality. Someone has to stand up for you and if that person is me then so be it but whatever her face is, has to go and she has to take her child with her!" Amazing started walking towards the living room and Mckenna wanted to stop but whenever Amazing Donna set her mind into achieving something, there was no stopping her.

"Maze, stop…please, don't cause a scene"

"I am not going to if she walks out on her own. It should have been what you should have done in the first place" Amazing replied and kept walking.

"You can't make Jason choose between EJ and his marriage" Mckenna told her sister.

They were almost at the door.

"What is EJ?" Amazing asked.

"Elixir Jason, EJ…she is his daughter. It wouldn't be fair to him or me or EJ" Mckenna told her.

"Why not? He is going to choose you" Amazing reassured her.

Mckenna pulled her hand and they both stopped walking.

"He won't choose me. He will choose his daughter because he is not Jackson Donna. And because he loves me, he probably drinks himself to death or he will have a heart attack again, and doesn't make it out of the operating table. So, don't ask him to choose" Mckenna instructed her sister.

"You can't be sure that he would do that" Amazing had raised eyebrows and she

stared intently at her sister.

"I am pregnant, Maze and no, my husband doesn't know…yet. I am probably a few weeks in but I would choose this baby over Jason and the entire world. I would be a hypocrite if I made him do what I can't do" 

Amazing suddenly smiled and stared at McKenna's abdomen.

"Are you sure?" 

"Yes, I found out last night and you are the first person I have told about it"

Amazing hugged her sister.

"Oh My God, congratulations! I am so happy. I am going to be an aunt!" She was over the moon.

"Thank you" Mckenna smiled sadly.

"So, you might be biased against EJ but her mother doesn't have to be in the picture, does she?" Amazing asked her with a serious face.

"Hell no! Tamara Jones has to go. I am not losing my husband to her. I don't care that he looked for her for a decade and she has a child for him. Jason is mine and mine alone" 

It was true and Amazing was proud.

"And that's the Mckenna that I was looking for. The fighter that doesn't give up easily. Come on sis, we have a woman to force out"

Amazing pushed the door open and she held it open for her sister to enter and she closed it behind herself.

The living room was deserted but voices were coming from the dining room.

Jason was sitting down and Tamara Jones was sitting by his side and the two little girls were placing a big tray of pancakes on the table.

"Amazing, what are you doing here?" Jason asked her.

"Do I need a reason to visit my sister?" Amazing said with a face that screamed that she wished bodily harm to both Jason and Tamara.

Jason got the message loud and clear. He cleared the sudden fog at the back of his throat and he smiled to hide his irritation.

He hated it when family members thought they had a say in what was going on in his family.

"Of course not, welcome to my house. Do you care for breakfast?" Jason asked her.

"I don't mind if i do" Amazing replied him with the same amount of excitement he used on her.

"Aunt Maze!" Kara hugged her.

"Hello, sweetie" Amazing spared a smile for her niece.

"Aunt Maze, this is my new sister EJ. She wants to be a lawyer" Kara pointed to EJ.

"Good morning, Auntie. She is my Aunt too, right?" EJ asked so she doesn't mistakenly address Amazing wrongly.

"She is" Mckenna was quick to say before Amazing replied.

"Technically, I am not" Amazing whispered to her sister.

"She is nine years old. Technically, you are not allowed to hate her" Mckenna chastised her.

"Of course, I am your aunt too" Amazing said out loud for EJ to hear.

"Hi, I am Tamara. I am EJ's Mom" Tammy introduced herself to Amazing Donna.

"Of course, you are. You are in my sister's chair. Can you please sit somewhere else? A husband and a wife should sit together while eating breakfast, don't you think?" Amazing Donna told Tammy politely but her countenance says otherwise.

"You are not serious, are you? It's just a chair" Tammy said with a chuckle like it was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard.

Amazing wanted to say something else but she heard Jason's voice.

"She is right, Tammy. I always sit together with my wife during breakfast but since you are a guest in our home, you can keep the seat"

Jason stood up and he moved to the other side of the table, he pulled out a chair for Mckenna and she sat down. He then sat beside her after planting a brief kiss on her hair.

EJ and Tamara stared at them

"You will get used to it, eventually. They kissed each other all the time" Kara informed her sister "It's gross!"

"Take your seat, smart mouth" Jason told Kara.

Amazing seemed to like how Jason took her side and she didn't say anything except throw deadly glares at Tammy throughout the duration of the breakfast.

"EJ, this is the best pancake I have ever tasted" Mckenna praised the little girl's effort.

"So good, sweetheart that I might actually start asking you to make the pancake for me everyday" Jason said and touched the girl's hair.

"It's okay, I guess" Amazing said until she felt Mckenna's foot pressed on her toes.

"Ouch! EJ, your pancake is the best I have had in a while" Amazing quickly corrected and Mckenna let go of her toes.

"Mom, can EJ come with me to Liam's house for a playdate?" Kara asked Mckenna.

"Hmmm…. Sure, if Tammy is okay with it" Mckenna quickly added.

She might make decisions when it comes to Kara but EJ was Tammy's territory.

"Of course, you can go" Tammy replied.

"Kara, why don't you show EJ to your room, so you can start preparing" Amazing suggested to the girls.

"I need to clear the table" EJ reminded her.

"Don't worry, I am sure the adults can handle it" Amazing told her with a smile on her face.

As soon as the girls disappeared into their room, the smile disappeared from Amazing's face.

"How long are you planning on staying in Nigeria, Tamara? I am sure you have a job or something to get back to" Amazing asked and took a bite from the pancake on her plate.

"Amazing…" Jason wanted to stop the interrogation but Mckenna's voice stopped him.

"I am curious too" Mckenna said out loud.

"What do you even do?"

"I am a…surgeon actually. And you don't have to worry about my job, I took time off of work for two weeks to bring EJ here" 

Tammy knew that Mckenna and Amazing were both surprised but not Jason. He had a smile on his face like it wasn't an unusual thing for a former pregnant nineteen year old to become a surgeon.

"Let me guess, you choose a specialty where you can satisfy your curiousity, Tammy" Jason said

He was beaming with pride.

"Damn it! Jassy, I hate that you know me so well. Yes, I am a trauma surgeon" 

Her laughter echoed in the room. Amazing Donna wasn't ready to back off yet.

"Wow, that is impressive. I just have one more question to ask you" Amazing said and dropped the fork she was holding.

"Are you in love with Jason?" She asked bluntly.

"Amazing!" Both Mckenna and Jason said in unison.

"It's fine. It's a valid question and to answer the question, the answer is no. I am not in love with Jason. I love him as a friend but that's just about it" Tammy answered with a straight face.

"Why should I believe you?" Amazing asked her.

"Because I am engaged to another surgeon and I am in love with him!"
