"Hm?" I was helping around the florist when I noticed Jennifer-chan studying in the kitchen.
It was a textbook filled with unknown information.
"Good luck," I said.
"Thank you! The exam is next week!!" Jennifer-chan said, pumping herself up. The exam rush is getting to her..
'I can use this if I can't answer a question tomorrow?'
"Good luck."
"Can I?"
'You're asking the wrong person. If you want, you should message Liliath, she's the prodigy here.'
Jennifer-chan is going to be tested on things like circuit magic, rune magic, basic maths, junior alchemy, and marksmanship. Even if she wants to cheat, I can't help her with that at all.
"It's not a good idea to cheat. I'm sure you'll do well, don't think too much about it."
"Really? There's a lot I hadn't studied though.. " she said in a panic.
"You'll do alright. Really."
"Really, really?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
And she went back to studying.
===
The day of the exam.
"Good luck Jennifer-chan."
"Good luck."
"Do your best."
"Thank you!"
"I'm sure you'll do well," Sid, who had lowered himself to Jennifer-chan's eye level said as he stroked her hair.
"Un," she nodded with inflated cheeks.
I wonder if there are children in this world that pull all-nighters just to study for exams? Jennifer-chan certainly didn't.
"You'll be alright," Miss Margrett also carrasased Jennifer-chan's hair.
"Thank you."
Sid and Prune accompanied Jennifer to the education guild to attend her first day of exam.
The first and second day are theoretical papers. Third and fourth day are practical exams pertaining to weapon proficiency and magic casting.
Yep. I'm sure she'll do fine.

"Next, give a round of applause to Jennifer. Congratulations on getting a passing grade of distinction!" the emcee spoke.
An applause rang throughout the hall. Jennifer-chan who held a scroll, wearing graduation clothes looked super stoked. She finally graduated.
There wasn't anything like a GPA grading system. You don't get to see your scores. Either you pass, fail, or be granted a distinction. Jennifer-chan was the latter.
She came down stage and bounced over to her parents, who looked absolutely proud of her achievement.
"Congratulations, Jenn-chan," Nine said.
"Congratulations," Prune said.
It's great how there wasn't a limit to the number of people that could attend the graduation ceremony. Though, it does feel stuffy.
"Do we have this back in the modern world, Noel?" Liliath asked.
"Yeah, we do."
"I see.. I'll be anticipating it," she chuckled.
Rin sat there all silent.
I patted her head.
"Yes?" She looked at me puzzled.
"Nothing. Just thought you're a little lonely."
===
"Take care dear."
"You too honey."
"See you papa."
"Take care."
Sid had to return to the castle, he's got work to do. He's a royal knight after all. In anycase..
"We'll see you sometime in a few days. Hopefully you'll be stationed somewhere we can find you?" I said.
"We'll see about that. Take care of my wife and Jenn-chan alright?"
"Will do,"
"Right."
With his heavy equipment that had been repaired at a blacksmith shop throughout the duration of his stay here, with each stride, the figure of his back slowly faded into the crowd.
Miss Margrett cried a little. Jennifer-chan consoled her.
It's unknown when he would have his next break from work.
I should consider connecting them with a messaging widget shouldn't I? We'll see, we'll see.
That aside, Sid routed a path on the map for us. Now we know the route towards the castle. Good job widget virus.

"You're really alright with that?" Nine looked doubtful.
"Yup. I don't mind it," Jennifer-chan nodded.
"Alright.. thanks. I'll make sure to clean it properly before returning it then," Nine received the pink silk dress from Jennifer-chan.
It's a little misleading, especially when the male Nine was the one receiving the dress. Nevertheless, it's the 'she' not 'he' that'll wear it.
"Noel, what do you think?"
I turned to look behind me and– almost bled through my nose.
A black gothic dress that was modest in it's show of skin. The cleavage area was modestly shown with straps that went around the shoulders, a red jewel and ribbon in the center. A number of layered frills for the area of the skirt that reached to her knee. Her back was exposed, if not for the crisscrossing laces that was part of the corser on her waist.
To top it off, she tied her hair into twin tails..
Fuck.
Liliath nodded to my reaction.
"Ba.. um.. ah.. yea.. you look.. cute. Really cute.."
"Ah, one more thing," Liliath showed her back to me, tilting her body and– two mini feathered black wings grew from her shoulders. The dress' open portion at the back allows her to freely show her beautiful wings.. how the hell. That's adorable. I didn't think she could manifest a mini version of her wings.
She's like the absolute reincarnation of a fallen angel.
"You're really beautiful Liliath."
She nodded deeply.

Nine kicked me.
"What?"
"Lollita no touch."
"When in the fuck has Liliath become a lolli in your eyes. She's taller than you."
"What? I don't believe you."
Yeah sure. Whatever you say. Does Nine not know his height changes depending on the gender?
"Now then, I should go get Rin," Liliath rushed back into Prune's room.
"I should probably try this on too. You'll be the judge alright, Noel."
"Sure."
"Pervert."
"Ah.. nevermind," I wanted to retort but couldn't find anything to say.
Nine went into our room. It wasn't long when Liliath came dragging Rin and Prune.
Rin wore a red fluffy dress. Instead of a corset, it was an elastic lace that wrapped around her waist. The dress part had a main layer or red silk and a translucent layer of sparkling fabric that created vertical frills. Purfles at the cleavage fringes sewn from gold silk formed an intricate pattern of ferns. Her shoulders were left exposed with a single lace that tied the dress from around her neck.
Her hair had been tied into a loose braid with a butterfly clip as a finisher.
It's got a modern prom party feel to it. Amazing..
As for Prune..
She was wearing a Hanfu– a traditional chinese dress with a white-blue colour scheme that reached all the way to her feet. A white thick ribbon lace tied around the sash at the waist, the excess left dangling down. Her collar covered most of her chest, the sleeves were long and dangled off to the side. Embroidered patterns of storks, mountains and fog decorated the fabric.
She had tied her hair into loops, using silver ribbons to hold them in place..
"Fuck.."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Prune exclaimed.
"What? You know how stupid I'd look if I said here that everyone looks absolutely gorgeous?"
"Yeah. Too late for that. Loathe all you want, so? I chose a nice one right? There's still that musty scent of fabric in need to remove. Will probably wash it again later."
"Yeah. I'm sure those at the party will be surprised. It's not every day you get to see someone wear a Hanfu. I don't even know if it exists in this world."
"N-Noel.."
"Right.."
How should I go about complimenting her? She's like– glowing. The red hits you in the eye– you can't help not to pay attention to her.
"Very.. attractive? It's like something a modern day celebrity would wear to the Oscars or something.."
"What's that?"
"Uh.. it's basically a global event where the best movie actor gets an award– "
Ugh.. I probably should've phrased it better. I'm sorry Rin! Don't be so down!
"Noel, perhaps.."
I came up and caressed Rin's hair instead– sorry. I'm not so great at using words to flatter people but– this should do right?
"So.. what the fuck," Nine came out from changing– wow, that's fast.
Huh. She's got the most medieval looking dress out of everyone here.
Pink princess dress.. with an open collar that had a small lace around to hold it in place. Some criss-cross of string in the front, double layered skirt portion like Rin's but less complex and.. yeah. I don't really know what else to say. She's a princess alright.
"I think you need a petticoat."
"You fucking.."
Hahaha.. cute.
As a side note. Rin and Liliath's clothes were something I forgot to return to the dream world.

D-day.
A carriage pulled up at the florist at sunset.
There was a single white horse– stallion. Pretty good, well kept horse with a pompous aura to it. Though, like I said before, carriages are now powered by engines so horses are obsolete. I'm sure it serves as just a decorative element.
Seriously now, Your Highness, you didn't need to go all the way and prepare us a carriage like this. Are you trying to sell us away from something?
"Let's be honest here. Depending on how this goes, I have a feeling we might have to leave the florist," Nine said.
"I guess so."
It's finally time huh? We've been waiting for a month, finally, a crucial story development is about to come.
I looked at Liliath– she wore that gothic dress, but instead of a twin-tail, it was now a simple bun to the back. I'm glad she was aware of how out of the ordinary she'd look if she went with that style.
Rin wore that resplendent silk red dress, Prune wore the sky-coloured Hanfu, while Nine wore a pretty pink princess dress.
"I must say, you three do make quite the impact.." for some reason, Laura was also with us in the carriage. When she saw Prune, she rubbed her eyes, "What?"
Yeah. Prune's clothes probably looked killer exotic to the people of this world. No doubt about it.
Laura wore a green dress that was really a mish mash of medieval and elven elements. I don't really know how to explain it– quite traditional? A lot of archaic elements involved. All I knew was that it looked killer on her.
Also, there was that maid El again.
"Let's go."
"See you."
"Enjoy the party."
Miss Margrett and Jennifer-chan waved us goodbye.
Nine's right. Depending on how today goes, we might have to leave– in short, a flag. Darn, we should've told them about it yesterday, it's too late now. Whatever.
The four of us got on the carriage and set off towards the inner grounds of the kingdom.
"Sorry, Laura-san, is everything alright on your end?" I asked.
Where I'm seated in the carriage, I was facing Laura directly.
"It's calmed down, for the most part. I don't really know what I should do about it either. Oppa said he wanted to apologize if the chance presented itself but.. would you accept it.. if such was the case? I would apologize here, on his behalf, but I'm sure it would be more appropriate if he did it instead."
"I understand. Um.. you don't need to answer if it's uncomfortable but.. did you get into any sort of conflict after that?"
"Nothing of that sort. But Moirae and I managed to snap him out of it," She said proudly. I'm getting some uncanny vibes here.
"Right.."
Liliath's tightened her hands around mine.
I brought over my free hand and caressed her head.
She shifted her body closer to me.
"You'll be alright," I whispered.
She'd obviously be nervous. After more than a year.. two years, she'll finally get the chance to reunite with her brother.
What reaction would he show her? Only time will tell.
