When the second tape had appeared on her desk Wren had been unwilling to play it at first. Whilst nothing came up for when you looked for Carolina Worhdas, a lot came up for Flicker, each article getting more disturbing as Wren went. According to 'Whats that Villain' Flicker was named after her weaker secondary power, which caused her to turn invisible at will. She had killed at least 2 family members and many other civilians, she was also rumoured to have killed several vigilantes.

Having read those articles, Wren was surprised at herself for playing the second tape, and even more suprised when she found herself tucking the library card away. Wren didn't believe for a second that Carolina was as innocent as she wanted her to believe, but maybe Wren was willing to give her a chance.

The blue room of the library was just as the name suggested, blue. The shelves crammed with old and new hero comics dating as far back as the last era.

There had been several eras in written memory, every once in a while that had an Emperor announce a new one. The last era had been known as the Modern Era and lasted 138 years, before the current Emperor had taken the throne and announced the 'New Era' of which they were on year 20.

All of the changing of eras was useless in Wren's opinion, the only good coming out of it being the HEROS, whom replaced the police force in order to keep the crime rates down.

A ding on her phone drew her attention away from the books.

"Were are you? Dinners ready." -Dad.

Wren sighed. But resigned herself to leaving a note in the book Carolina had suggested.

A few days later Wren was back in the blue room. It had become a repeated occurrence for her to head their after school, reading away her spare time with cheesy characters in impossible situations. The comic she was reading currently shared the story of a HEROS and a villain whom despite their differences became friends and so fought crime together the comic never having its last issue reach the public for some reason or another.

Wren didn't think it mattered what book she read, the words refused to sink in. Her mind too focused on the news from last night.

Flicker and an unnamed accomplice had been sighted fighting a HEROS, it had been two on one and hardly fair although luckily the HEROS had managed to grasp a stalemate with limited damage to themselves. The occurrence had made Wren's stomach twist, she had information, as a civilian she should report the tapes and cease all contact with the Villain. She could be endangering lives with her selfishness, but was she really? Sure Carolina was a villain sure they claimed she had taken lives, but did they have any proof? Was Carolina's words true and her crimes all assumptions?
