Chapter 1: Old memories

[Ruby's POV]

"He is as much of an asshole as I remembered" Ava said as we watched the final battle scene of HTTYD 2. We met today to watch some of our all-time favorite movies, and of course we couldn't miss the HTTYD movies. When we were younger, we sucked these movies up like small little sponges, and we still enjoy them now. 

"If I were there, I would've ripped his head off his shoulders!" Ava said and I laughed. I just thought about the little and cute her ripping the head off a giant man's body. "I'd like to be there too, just to see you struggle to even reach his head!" She stared at me and pouted. "You wanted to be a dragon rider ever since you first saw that film" I said, and she nodded. As I calmed down, I asked her, "Which dragon would you choose?" 

I looked her deep in the eyes, knowing that she would probably say nightfury. "Something like a nightfury but even more... rare" she said. "Like the dragon of the third?" she started to think. "But what if it's ugly?" As DreamWorks announced the start of the production for the third movie, they also revealed that there would be a new relevant dragon.

Sadly, just a year later the production was stopped due to the shifting interest of the viewers and all concepts were scrapped. "And you?" Ava turned to me, "Which one would you choose". I thought about it. Honestly I liked watching the movies and all but I kind of felt like at least some people in the HTTYD universe, even though they were friends with their dragons, really did just treat them like a work machine. 

I wasn't sure if I could make my dragon fell loved and like a friend instead of a worker so I'd just preffer to have dragons as my friends, but I wouldn't really want to become a dragon rider. 

"I think I'd just like to have a few dragon friends instead of riding on one" I said to her which made her think. "I know what you mean and you're essentially right... but I'd treat my dragon like a real friend!" She said, and I grinned. Ava was a person who always looked childish and cute and like someone who needed protection, but if necessary she could become a real mastermind in just a few seconds. 

But in the end she'd always stick to her original plan. I turned my attention back to the screen, where Hiccup was just declared the new head of the tribe. "I've watched this movie hundreds of times, but I always miss the scene where Stoik dies." I said and Ava nodded. "Maybe because we always start talking during the fight and what they should've done different. 

We laughed as both our stomachs made strange noises at the same time. "A shit that hurts!" we both said. "How old were that chips?" I asked her. "I don't know" I walked over to the TV and turned off off. "Maybe we should go sleep now" I said, and she agreed. "We can watch some other movies tomorrow!
