Chapter 5: Chapter 05: Conspiracy

The three ninjas had drawn their weapons. Two of them had kunais and the last one had a sword.

I also draw my Katana and say, "That's good that you guys came this spares me the time of looking for you. Why don't we skip this and you tell me who sent you in the first place?"

When Minato brought the corpses back nearly half a year ago, their faces were disfigured and their minds were sealed. The cause was some Fuinjutsu.

Analyzing them, I could see they had seals on their tongues and foreheads.

This seal looks similar to the root seal from Danzo, especially the tongue curse seal...

Since Danzo would eliminate every danger that could threaten Konoha, even if it was Konoha itself, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the mastermind or one of the masterminds behind the attack on Uzushiogakure.

It is also possible that he sends his root after me, only to frame this mysterious shinobi group for it later.

"You mess with the wrong people here kid. We may need to change our plans and eliminate you earlier than planned." said one of them as he dashed towards me with a sword.

But I slash down from the distance and he falls to the ground, cut in half.

"What ... did ... you do to me?" He could say it even when he was cut in half.

The second shinobi began throwing shuriken at me while the last one started using some hand signs.

Before the shuriken could hit me, I switched positions with the guy throwing them, and they hit him instead.

The guy who used the hand signs jumped high in the air when he saw me standing next to him and spit a big fireball at me.

Looking at the fireball, I use my Katana and make a thrusting move at the fireball. This move penetrates it like a laser and even hits the heart of the shinobi behind it. During this process, the fireball is destroyed and small flames start to rain down.

I snap my fingers and extinguish the flames then walk to the guy who hit himself with the shurikens.

Pretending to be dead he waited for me to get closer. Then he tried to surprise me by stabbing me. However, I used Takt to create spikes from the ground and they pierced his arms and legs to hold him in place.

He struggles at first, but then becomes numb after activating his head seal...

F**k I need to learn to break the seal as soon as possible.

Turning around I could see that the other guys seals were activated too.

As I walked to the guy I split in half, I analyzed his body thoroughly.

The only thing that I could find out was that they used some chakra enhancing drugs that were coursing through their body.

I took out a small vial that was filled with water and used Shambles to switch the water for the drug in his body. This could help identify where they got the drugs from.

To avoid a mess, I put his body together before I disabled my ROOM.

Two Uchihas from the Police Force arrived after the battle was over, because someone saw my sphere. When they saw the rogue ninjas, they called some anbus, who took the bodies away and told me to report to Minato.

So I visited the Kage office a second time.

When I walked into the office, I saw Minato standing there with an anbu. Even with his dog mask I could tell it was Kakashi.

Upon seeing me arrive, Minato looked concerned at me.

I heard the anbu report that some rogue ninjas attacked you. Their outfit suggests that it was the same guys who attack Uzushiogakure. Could you find out more?" he asked me knowing my ability to scan people.

"Not very much, but one thing is certain, they had seals on their heads and tongues. I will talk with Kushina about this, then I can tell you more. They also used some chakra enhancing drugs, that the medical corps can analyse."

Since I had no idea how much Minato knew about Danzo and the root or if he even cared, I wanted to collect evidence first before accusing Danzo.

"Okay, do this and report back to me later. You are free to leave now but I will send this anbu with you as an escort, to make sure that no other attacks happen." saying this he points to Kakashi.

I thank him and then leave the building while Kakashi follows me in the shadows.

After I freshened up and changed my clothes, I headed to Kushina. She heard my story and then nearly choked me in her bosom again.

Basically, she confirmed what I already knew about the seals. The only question is whether this seal was created by Danzo or not?

Shortly after Minato walked through the door, they began to get lovey dovey. It's always the same show.

What felt like an eternity later we started to eat.

Minato looked at me at the dinner table and said.

"I talked to the elders after your battle with the rogue ninjas to promote you to a Chunin but sadly they were against it, so I considered holding a Chunin exam for all the Genins in the village. Because of the war many of them didn't have a chance to become one."

"Thanks for your trust. I will not disappoint you!" I say to him while nodding.

"The Chunin exam will be held next month and since you have no team, you will get two random Genins by your side during the exam. Be prepared."

At the end of the month, I got my team for the Chunin Exam consisting of Anko, Ebisu and myself.
