Chapter 23: Indirect kiss!

*TAP*.

It been an hour since I started finishing the design sent by my superior. I just had to give it the final touch-up and check the flaws if any. It takes a lot of focus to do so and I guess, Kazu kun also seemed to notice it. After sitting here and watching me for some time he left the room and closed the door as he left.

My heart was trembling as I held my tears for making my Kazu kun lonely. However, it was also true that the work I was doing relates to my future with my husband.

'Kyaa! My husband Kazu kun. I said him my husband and he didnt retort. Should we get the certificate tomorrow? No, he didnt accept me yet but even so..' My internal log halted as my eyes caught the blunders I was going through.

After sighing I started making corrections while blaming Kazu kun for distracting me.

Time flew by in a flash. I was driven in my world when the clicking sound of the door pulled me back.

I found Kazu kun walking inside with a tray in his hand. He had a smile on his face with anticipation hidden behind. I knew all of his moods so it wasn't hard to determine how he was feeling right now.

"I dont know how you like it so I just kept the milk and sugar mild. " He brought a cup of coffee for me whose fragrance was quite relaxing. The considerate behavior of Kazu kun made my heart melt. 

'How such a handsome person could be so much caring too. It is truly unfair of him to have so many good qualities.'

I took a sip before responding.

"It's good. Normally I wouldn't have told you this but since you want me to be open about myself, then I will tell you that I usually prefer black coffee. I hope I dont offended you". I apologized as I didnt feel good saying it even he went out of his to make this. 

" No on the contrary I am quite happy. I think it's important for us to know about each other. Anyway, I will keep it in mind. Now give that to me I will change it." Before I could register what he said he snatched the coffee mug from my hand.

"Eh? No, I can drink it if you have made it already. " I said as I dont want to lose that precious drink which my Kazu kun made for me for the first time.

"Just wait for a minute I will bring another cup. Besides..." He took a sip before continuing.

"..I didn't make one for myself so I will have this". And he went back.

I was dumbstruck. My mind went blank on what he did right now. I took a pencil lifelessly and stabbed my palm with it.

I felt a sting on that part which told me that it wasn't a dream.

'Di-did..we just shared an indirect k-k-ki-kiss? Aaaah...our first kiss already happened. I am so happy! Wait it was an indirect one but still our lips connected right? I saw him sipping from the same spot where the light lipstick was. But wait am I the only one conscious about it. Whatever, it was my first kiss with Kazu kun. I better note it down and take it to my grave. 'Sometimes I dont know how to feel about his denseness.

"It's finally over". I stretched my body as I got up from the desk. I finally finished the work and sent it. I checked the time and got froze.

" It's already 11 aaaaah!" I turned my feet and dashed out of the room. I certainly hate myself sometimes for being so dwelling. I completely neglected dinner and focused on my work.

'I am so pathetic'. However as soon I walked out, a refreshing smell of strong spices reached my nose. Following the scent, I moved toward the kitchen and found Kazu kun placing the dishes on the table. He was wearing the apron which looked cute on him, but it wasn't my focus at all for now.

"Ah...I just finished preparing the dinner. Come sit. I looked over the internet for recipe and preparation so it might taste not so good. But I can assure you that you will not throw up ". He said while taking out the pots.

I walked slowly toward him when he came out with a bowl in hand.

" Tsubaki?" He asked as he paused in front of me.

I took the pot from him carefully before placing it on the table.

He was still confusingly looking toward me when I went ahead and wrapped my arms around his back. I felt his body jolting but he didnt reject me.

"I am really fortunate to have you by my side Kazu kun. I can't feel more elated to know that you are willing to do those things which you have never done before. I am so happy Kazu kun. Thanks for being in my life. "I said what I truly felt from my heart. There wasn't a single fabrication in my word but only genuine feelings.

I felt his hand also enveloping around me as the gap between us became none existent. 

"It wasn't a big deal tho. And besides, if you are the only one working hard in the house then I will feel totally useless. So stop thanking me and let's eat it before it gets cold." He said in a warm and caring tone. I feel sometimes that I had done many good deeds in my prior life to find such a great person like Kazu kun as my partner. Today again I found a reason among other countless reasons that why I love this person so much.

'He makes me feel special.'

The dinner went by in a lovely silence. I prepared simple potato chicken curry and rice which could heal her fatigue to some extent. Tsubaki's face looked delighted upon taking the first bite and it remained constant throughout the dinner.

We both don't like to talk during we eat so she only praised me with her reactions.

Well, my first-time curry-making was better than expected except for the fact that I made the kitchen a mess. I have to take Tsubaki's help while cleaning it.

"It was really good. The flavors were really complementing each other. It certainly didnt seem that you cooked for the first time Kazu kun". After having dinner we both sat on the couch.

" You are exaggerating. Well, thank you anyway". I scratched the back of my head with a little embarrassment as I wasn't used to getting praised so openly.

"Thanks for the dessert". Suddenly Tsubaki said while gawking at me with a dazed look.

" Huh? What?"

"Ah, nothing." She said while stealing glances away.

"Ah yeah I forgot. You dont have to wait for me from tomorrow. Trials are going to start and I have to stay until evening". I told her as the coach already has declared for overtime because of the upcoming inter-school baseball competition.

" So you will basically practice on the school grounds right?" She asked with an indifferent smile but I felt her atmosphere slightly changing.

"More or less. I will just test the new player and like me, two more players will also do the same. Why do you ask?" I asked in a confused way as I knew she wasn't much interested in baseball.

"Kazuya kun. I am fine coming home late. It's not like I have anything to do in the evening. So please watch out(only), for me in the stands when I will cheer you up". I felt her aura getting dark all of a sudden I didnt know why?

I gulped before saying " Yes ma'am".
