Chapter 36: Hassle!

It's been 2 days since that morning incident happened. I still get baffled and awkward upon remembering Tsubaki measuring me up.

Naturally, I felt whether she was disappointed but it was way more than just embarrassing to ask her about it. Well, it was good that we both never teased that topic and continued living like normal.

Back to the present, tomorrow would be the day when I would confess my feeling to Tsubaki, without holding back. The first crush of my 18 years of life and the person for whom only one feeling, oozes out of me and that is love.

Well since I had to give the order for the ring a day ago, I didn't have any option but to owe Kunimi and pay him back when I get my payment from the part-time.

It was really fortunate that her cheerleading trials start today which eventually gave me an hour of leisure. 

Yeah, after an hour she would rush to the cafè. So I have only this hour to buy rings and dash back to the cafè, without raising suspicion.

Since I knew about the tracking chip she had on my phone, I handed it over to my best friend Kunimi.

"This adds a cold coffee with my yakisoba too." And like that, the tracking problem also got sorted out.

So basically right now, I was on the way to the nearest shopping complex where cheap accessories were sold. Well, I could only afford that for now but I have taken a resolve to give Tsubaki a real one, in the future.

The shopping complex was a station away from my school and the cafè was also in the same district, so it won't be much hassle to rush there after the purchase.

The main city was fairly crowded like every day, with lots of coupled majorly belonging to high school, were wandering around. This area was famous for dating sites like parks, cafès, and shopping malls so yeah, a sweet atmosphere.

As I walked toward the complex, I saw three people near the bus stop. Two of them were old guys maybe in their late twenties and a white-haired girl who was wearing the same uniform as me.

I didn't have noticed them if not for the action they were displaying. They were openly commenting on the girl trying to grab her attention. The girl was just standing there, ignoring them. It seemed like she was waiting for someone. I also had to walk in their direction, so I decided to see some moments more, what they would do.

To my utter surprise, one of them took out his phone and tried to sneak out her picture.

"AH". I deliberately slipped my foot, further crashing in that man. Surely, his phone slipped from his hand.

" Hey what the fuck are you doing? Don't have eyes?" A very irritated voice came from the victim and several tongues click from the other one too.

"Gomen nii-saan. My foot just slipped. Anyway, I think you wanted to take picture of that girl right? Hey! Nee san can I take your picture for this gentleman here?" I shouted toward the girl who had her focus now totally directed toward us.

"Shut up you idiot. Forget it". With another round of tongue clicks both of them walked away, after retrieving the phone.

I walked toward the girl before she could think of me as a pervert, but to my surprise, she spoke before me.

" Thank you. I was about to confront them". She gave a small smile as she spoke in a stern voice. It seemed she was used to this that's why she wasn't much bothered with it.

"Welcome. And I know this is unnecessary advice but I think you should confront sooner next time". I ended the conversation and walked away. I heard an 'Aah', but I was in too much haste to listen to her so fled away.

I found various accessory stores which sold originals as well as unbranded items as well. Every store had both departments that were why I was kinda confused to see the exquisite interior of the store like I was in a true jewelry shop.

The store was filled with various people but not to the point where it could be counted as crowded at all. It just made the atmosphere livelier. 

Walking to a counter I spotted various rings placed inside a glass shelf and rack. Ranging from 2k to 2000k, every ring was grouped according to its price.

" Hmm.." I was really confused as it was the first time I was buying accessories by myself. I have come here twice with Kunimi but never to buy something for myself. 

I felt my vision revolving endlessly as I found nothing decent and everything the same. Cursing myself for never paying attention to Tsubaki's liking, I sighed. However, a lifesaver came to my rescue.

"You want help?" A voice which I heard some minutes ago came from my right as I turned immediately.

There stood the same white-haired girl which I saw near the bus stop. She was looking at me with her raised brows.

Since it was the best option for me, I nodded without hesitation.

"Please". Like a true lifesaver, she said, "Leave it to me", with a haughty smug.

" So three things." She asked me in a serious tone while crossing her arms on her belly.

"Go on," I replied in the same tone.

"First about the person you are buying the ring for.. Like her nature and stuff". I didn't whether it mattered or not but I replied.

" Calm, responsible, caring and out of the world beautiful". A natural smile formed on my face, as I spoke.

"Woah. Isn't she a Chinese novel protagonist or sort?" My smile broke down as I stared at her with a sullen expression.

"Ahaha..ha! Anyway your budget?" 

"7k, atmost". 

" Hmm, will do. Anyway about her size as these none branded rings don't have every size in each design". My body stiffened at its place as I looked at her in disbelief.

"Si..ze?"

"Oh man...dont tell you aren't aware of her ring size". 

" Ahaha...ha! " This time it was me who broke into an awkward laugh to skip the saturation.

"Seriously. Now what? Do you have anything in mind?". I helplessly shook my head as the ring was the only thing that came to my mind as I thought of confessing.

" Then how about a couple pendants. There are various varieties of them and I think like this she won't get troubled by disciplinary committee too right ?"  As she spoke I also realized that visible accessory wasn't allowed in our school so I felt a pendant would be great.

"Great. Can you help me choose it?" She nodded as she replied.

"Of course. At least I can do this much for my savior, right~?"

A/N: No triangle that's I can assure. The thing is that the story won't just only revolve around the main couple but surely it will be focused on them.
