Chapter 37: Unexpected wish!

It took almost half an hour to finally select a pendant. I never knew that a simple neck locket could be of that many varieties. Anyway, my schoolmate, whose name I forgot to ask, helped me very patiently and finally, in the end, the mission was accomplished.

After that, I rushed back to the cafè after seeing her off neat at the same bus stop.

"Be sure to hide it properly." I nodded to Kunimi who was advising me to keep the gift as secluded as possible.

"Yeah. I got it" I already had hidden it deep inside my bag where Tsubaki won't find it even if she unpack everything out. Well, I knew she wouldn't do something like checking my stuff...but...maybe she could.

After that night my thoughts about her have drastically changed but it doesn't mean our relationship or the way I treat her would ever change.

I checked my phone and it was almost 4 in the evening. Tsubaki already have texted me almost 20 minutes ago that she has left school and coming to the cafè. I was glad that I had one week job at the cafè as I doesn't want to bother Tsubaki more than this. I mean she has continuously waited for me past few days. But from tomorrow no more.

"Hi, Kazu kun". A text arrived on my phone as soon I was about to turn it off and resume my work. Confusingly, I looked upward, and soon found out the reason behind her message.

Standing at the entrance, she was waving at me. She was wearing a school uniform but there wasn't a blazer but only a half sweater over her white shirt. 

There were other people too beside her, and all of them were girls. I got the gist of who they could be.

I waved her back before I walked toward them. Of course, these many girls and more to it, all of them were beautiful in their own right, would gather a lot and lots of attention.

" Please follow me". I spoke to Tsubaki with a smile. She also smiled and nodded.

I led them toward a round table that had six chairs around it. All of the other five girls took seats while continuously mumbling and giggling, I didn't know why.

Tsubaki was still standing while facing me.

"Guess what?" She asked.

"Don't know. You tell me". I asked after checking my surrounding. There weren't many customers now to handle and Kunimi gestured to me already when I was on the way to the table, that he could manage for some minutes.

" I got selected again this year. Now I can cheer my Kazu Kun as much I want. Hehe~ Praise me. Praise me!". She chimed like a cute kid who won first prize and now was bragging in front of her parents.

"Hai...hai. You did a great job". I started patting her head gently while I praised my little munchkin. This sweet side of Tsubaki always melts my heart and releases the all-day fatigue in an instant.

She shrank back a little but was enjoying my pats wholeheartedly with little redness tainting her cute ears.

"*Ahem*, Kazu I think we should do our jobs too right?" When I came back to sense, Kunumi had his hand on my left shoulder. I let go of Tsubaki immediately and glanced around. 

'Shit'. Every single eye was on us.

I repeat. Every single one...

"Take their order Kunimi. I will be handling-uh-something else". I glanced once at Tsubaki before walking back to the counter. It was way too embarrassing.

I didn't know what came after me but it was too much.

Sighing in another kind of stress, I took out my phone and after texting Tsubaki, returned to my work.

'He must be too much embarrassed right now.' I giggled while thinking how hard he was blushing some seconds ago. I really wanted to snap countless shots of him but the timing couldn't be more wrong.

Sighing, I sat on the chair when I heard all my squad mates giggling like idiots.

" Way to go Tsubaki. I never knew, your relationship with Sakahi kun was so close. I am jealous~"

"Kazuya senpai flushed face was too cute. I never knew he had this side too". I ignored their chants as I knew I would end up locking one of them. If they didn't have pestered so much then I never have brought them here. Well, even I didn't have, there were planning to visit this cafè for a while because they knew Ichihara Kun was working here.

They soon got busy flirting with Ichihara kun when my phone suddenly vibrated.

Taking out my phone my lips suddenly went crescent.

It was from my Kazu kun.

My Kazu♡:- Sorry Tsubaki for leaving you alone there. ]

My finger hesitated before sending this too much of an aggressive message but in the end, I sent it.

My heart started thumping in anticipation. Like what if Kazu kun thinks of me as a fast-forwarded girl. But we have cuddled several times so this must be okay...right?

I was continuously glancing at him while humming in between the conversation.

For the first half-hour he didn't check my message and when he did no reply came back.

I felt my mind going numb on his sudden radio silence and he wasn't even looking at me.

" What happened Tsubaki. You don't look okay. Did something happen?" Before I knew every gaze was fixed upon me.

"Nothing. It's just....nothing". Whatever the matter was, I never liked to talk about my personal life especially when it's related to my love, to anyone except for mom.

" Okay. Ah...yeah. What about tomorrow. Have you planned what will you make for Kazuya kun?" Fujishiya asked me on which I made a smug face.

"Already did a month ago". Well, it was a lie. I planned it since the previous year, Valentine, already. And was modifying it according to the situation. But since 10 days ago, a drastic change in my plan occurred, because of a sudden chain of events.

" Waah. Amazing. Ne~ne. Let me guess it must be the Happy Valentines written with cream on your cleavage right? And that will be fed to Kazuya kun right...right?" My eyes went wide open.

'How the hell do they know? Is it that common?' 

"Heeh! Tsubaki san so lewd I didn't know."

"Haha...look she is damn embarrassed and cute~" 

For now, I stood up and walked toward the washroom while listening to their bullshit on my back. I was frustrated to know that my plan was so useless all along. And the most irritating thing was that I didn't have much time left.

'I am screwed now!'

When I was about to cross the counter and move toward the washroom area, a hand grabbed my arm and immediately pulled me inside the room which was just beside the counter.

I knew this room was for staff. I could easily break whoever tried to touch me, within ten seconds but how could I even harm my kidnapper when he is so hot.

"Sorry for snatching you again like this". Kazu kun had his hand pressed against my mouth so I doesn't shout. Well, I could have shouted in elation but I held back and stood as I was. 

Kazu kun was leaning on the door with his hand pressed above my head and body almost touching mine.

His breath was crashing my face, giving me a soothing smell of mint. 

His black dashing eyes were staring at me as they would eat me up anytime and I would also get devoured happily.

I was so fascinated by this sudden daring Kazu kun, that I forgot that human needs to breathe too, for a second.

It was toooooo unreal.

" You said you wanted a hug right?" He was literally whispering in my ears so only I, could hear him. My face was burning with my breathing going ragged slowly yet noticeably.

I never broke my stare from him and he also did the same. No words traveled after that but only both our hearts thumped in excitement. The heat of our breaths was making the atmosphere even hotter. Cold sweat slid down my backbone giving me a light shiver of exhilaration.

Before I knew my face started nearing his and he also started lowering down little by little. It was like we both mutually decided when to advance.

 My lips suddenly started feeling lonely, ready for foreign warmth when I felt his breath even more dense and steamy nearing me. 

His warm lips touched mine just for a second, when...
