Chapter 259 - Mr. Lu wasn't here to surveil the operations of the company; he was here to teach his son hands on. (3)

Truth was, Su Han was fishing for attention.

Because of the question earlier, Su Ran did not want to answer any more of Su Han’s random questions. Nevertheless, less than a minute later, Su Han asked again, “What time is your competition?”

“They said it starts at 10 but, judging from the two past rounds, it will probably run a little late,” said Su Ran as she finished up with her makeup.

“When are you taking off then?”

“Emmm. Soon. We will take off when Aunty Li Yan returns.”

“Are you nervous?”

“No, I am not nervous.”

“I feel that you are nervous.”

“You feel wrong.”

“Are you bringing that with?”

“Yeah.” After all, candidates were filmed one after another and nobody knew how long it would be before it was her turn. She must bring her makeup bag with her.

“Is it heavy?”

“No. Besides, we will hop into a car as soon as we get downstairs.”

“Oh.”

“Can you find the place again?”

“Nonsense.” She had been there twice already, how could she not? Besides, even if she couldn’t find the place, they still got Li Yan.

“What if you get lost?”

“I won’t get lost.”

“What time are you getting back? Is it going to be late?”

“I don’t think so. It could be late.”

“It’s not safe then.” That’s why I should go with.

“Don’t worry……”

Recollecting herself after finishing with her makeup, Su Ran was just about to reassure her son that all would be fine when she noticed that something was off.

“Son, why are you so chatty today?” Su Ran stood up, turned around, and looked at Su Han dubiously.

Whatever happened to that cool and stuck-up son of hers?

“What do you mean by chatty?” Su Han rebutted reflexively as he turned away a little unnaturally, frowned, and said in discontent, “I care about you.”

“Is that so?” Looking at the awkward look on her son, an idea occurred to Su Ran all of a sudden. She had figured out what Su Han was trying to do.

“You want to come with me?” asked Su Ran as she blinked at Su Han.

Being called out, Su Han blushed a little but turned away with a solemn look.

“I’ll go if you want me to go with,” said Su Han coolly as he tried to put on a casual look.

“Puuuf.” Her son’s awkward look made Su Ran laughed again.

“I want to bring you with too,” said Su Ran.

Su Han: Then just bring me with.

Su Han, refusing to admit that he was somewhat excited about it, waited for Su Ran to finish what she was saying.

But the next thing out of her was, “But I can’t.”

“You will need takes to get into the venue. I don’t have any,” explained Su Ran.

There would be audiences today but, all of them had to apply online beforehand and go through rounds of screening or have special invitations.

Su Ran wouldn’t have been able to get her hands on any of those tickets.

She could bring Su Han to the backstage with her but Su Ran didn’t feel comfortable bringing him backstage as there would be a lot of people running around.

Besides, she also worried that Su Han would get bored waiting around with her.

Once she got into the final round though, competitors would be able to receive tickets for their families.

Su Ran figured that Su Han could come and watch her during the final if it happened to be on a weekend.

Watching the disappointment in Su Han that he could barely conceal, Su Ran was just about to let him know about her plans.

And that was when Li Yan returned.

“The competition will be divided into four groups today and we will go from 24 to 12. And each competitor needed to perform two pieces during their time. One of them will be the one communicated through the program team and the other one would be announced on site by the judges,” said Li Yan to Su Ran as she read the details on today’s competition.

“These shouldn’t be a problem to you, right?” said Li Yan to Su Ran with a smile.

She had seen Su Ran’s videos before. From what she was told by Lao Xu, a few pieces of them were spontaneous.

Came to think about it, the format of the competition might give Su Ran an edge.

“Yes, I will be fine,” said Su Ran with a smile.

“Its almost time. Are you ready?”

“Yes, I am.” Su Ran nodded.

She turned and looked at her son next to her, who still had a blue look on him. She felt a little sorry for him but also wanted to laugh at the same time.
