Passing by the inspection room which thoroughly checked my belonging and identity, I walked toward the front yard where some students were wandering leisurely.

The garden had a plain natural grass ground with beautiful shrubs and bushes as the perimeter. The stone path around the garden was where I walked while enjoying the peaceful vibe of the scenery.

Every single student undoubtedly belonged to a classy family. It wasn't that they were behaving exaggeratedly, but even with their small movements, I could tell how well mannered they were. Coupled with their different shades of hair, I felt being walking in a foreign estate or something.

From the main entrance to the main building, one had to walk about three hundred meters which I did while enjoying the lively atmosphere. Once I reached the tall academic building I entered inside without any further ado.

The glass door slid closed on my back before I moved toward the shoe locker. My name along with my ledger number was printed on one of those lockers where I scanned my identity card before the locker became operable.

'Ah here goes my plan to slide love letters'. I chuckled at my foolish joke while exchanging my shoes and wearing the freshly arrived indoor Uwabaki.

Walking toward the wide stair which was just straight from the entrance I started climbing. Some fellow schoolmates came across whome I greeted courteously and was also greeted back in the same manner.

Since the blazer of the three years was distinctive with the first year giving navy blue, and the second-year dark green, I have been offered quite respectful bows from my kōhais.

I was directed to the 3-A which was on the fourth floor. From what Minami-san said, the first four floors are for academic purposes, and the upper three floors consisted of faculties' separate offices, club rooms, a council cabin, and the Principal's office.

Since I didn't have business with any of those serious-sounding places I went directly toward the fourth stage before I started exploring the floor.

Quite a few students were walking in and out classroom yet there was the bare minimum sound they were producing. I walked to my left first before I started checking the classroom numbers.

"Good morning fellow student. Are you having difficulty finding your classroom?"

Suddenly a voice came from my back before I turned around only to find a protagonist-like character standing there with a gentle smile free of any malice adorning his face. His platinum blonde hair and crystal emerald eyes were something I have only seen in mangas before.

Since the person came to help me I wasn't going to deny the offer.

"Good morning. Actually, yes I am new admitted." After nodding he walked toward me before extending his hand which I took in a natural way, as I was taught.

"Zaek Shinma. Nice to meet you. I am in 3-A, what about you?"

"Ryuka Fujiwara. It's nice to meet you too. And I too am in the same section as you." Upon hearing my words, the blondie raised his brows like he found something interesting.

"So you are one of the three who were admitted in between the academic year." After releasing my hand he pinched his chin lightly as if to evaluate me.

Awkwardly I stood there not sure what to say anymore but fortunately, he didn't inspect me for more than some seconds.

"Since you are my classmate I should myself guide you. Please follow me." Saying with a smile he started leading the way as I followed not so long after.

He asked me some casual things like my fortè and how I got admitted here. He also asked me to talk to him if I have any problems in the future which I gratefully accepted.

Suddenly he asked something which I want quite ready for.

"By the way, do you know anyone in the school like any acquaintance?" Since he was walking forward I wasn't able to see his expression but from his tone, it seemed he was asking nonchalantly.

"Yes, I know a girl who has been here since the first year. Akira Makinohara." It wasn't my voluntarily decided that I would be revealing about my friendly relationship with Akira, rather it was Minami-san who instructed me to say so.

There was a definite reason for it too which I understood without her me being told.

Akira has a reputation as a thorny princess in the school and everyone is aware of it. To become acquainted one have to be special and useful in one way or another. Despite that, she generally keeps her relations in school at bay and me meddling in her matters as soon coming to the school without knowing her previously would plainly arouse suspicion.

It seems Shinma-kun was a little taken aback by my statement which I somehow understood why, before he turned toward me stiffly.

"Akira...as in President of Student Council, Akira Makinohara-san?" I nodded without pondering much.

"You know her from outside. Can I ask how?" Now, this was reeking trouble somehow. His being so prying about this matter was something I didn't think would come so boldly. He wasnt even hiding his suspicion toward me.

I wasnt sure how close he was to Akira but to get out of this situation I blabbered the shortest answer which couldn't arise any further queries.

"We are childhood friends." Since I knew from Minami-san that Akira spent her childhood alone with me only being her friend(not boasting), I was sure that this guy surely wouldn't ask any further questions about the past he was unaware of.

But to my utter surprise, he spouted something completely out of my expectation.

"Strange. We are also childhood friends but she never told me about you." Rubbing his chin he was not only getting suspicion now but also wariness was leaking out of his demeanor. If I hadn't read about his background or he doesn't belong to such a prominent family, I might have ignored him by now and would have walked away.

But now things have turned in a strange manner. My tongue was tied as no answer was able to form inside my mind even though the matter wasnt much big. But before I could have shoved the talk aside someone came to my rescue.

"Ara~ Ryu-kun and Zaek-san, you both are here." Even being in my half-sleeping state, I could tell who this coquettish voice belonged.

I and the blondie turned simultaneously toward the way we were going to walk until this problematic conversation wasnt brought up.

Walked straight toward us was a raven-haired beauty whome I still believe was the most attractive person I have come across. Her ruby eyes glitter with danger as well with an addictive charm that I seldom was able to take myself off.

There was also a serious-looking girl walking just beside Akira who had her glasses fixed in our direction more precisely upon me. Her petite figure coupled with her bob-cut olive hair gave a serious aura yet she was beautiful in her own way.

"Good morning President. I hope you are having a great day." Shinma-kun strangely bowed as soon Akira walked up to us and not only him every single person bowed their head once as they walked by.

"Good morning Kaichou. You look pretty as ever."

"A very pleasant morning, President."

"Good day Kaichou. I hope you have a great day ahead."

Akira was just showing her courteous smile with a short good morning in return for those sincere greetings. I was astonished by such a sight and how impactful an impression Akira carries in the school.

'It seems I have a long way to go... '

I concluded that it was past time that I greet her as if I bow now it would look plainly awkward, so I just stood straight not knowing what to do.

The serious girl beside Akira was giving me the look which visibly shouted 'You moron! Where are your manners?!' but I just glossed over it.

Finally, Akira turned toward us with an amusing smile adorning her flawless face. I looked toward Shinma-kun and surely he was captivated by such a sight. An inward sigh left my mouth before I heard Akira speaking again.

"You finally arrive, Ryu-kun~ And it seemed you met our class prefect too." By prefect, she clearly meant Shinma-kun who was looking at her with embarrassment like she just praised him.

"Anyway, I would still like to introduce you both. Ryu-kun, meet Zaek Shinma. He is my father's friend's son. We have met during our toddler age so you can say we are acquainted but wasnt aware."

I pressed my lips tightly to not let my laugh escape as I saw that smugness disappearing from the blondie's face. Some second ago he was over the moon but this beautiful devil knows no mercy at all.

"And Zaek-san, meet Ryuka Fujiwara. He is the first person whome I considered my friend and also a person with whome I share a lot of my emotions and memories too. Please take care of him whenever you get the time. "

She was clearly tormenting him on purpose and looking at his ugly expression it seems he was getting baited as she wants. I don't know what relationship they had but seeing Akira's so careless attitude toward Shinma-kun I was sure that she doesn't even consider his existence at all around her.

I was even more awkward now being showered with such affection from my childhood friend who was still looking at me with those unfair eyes of hers.

In true means whatever she said made me utterly delighted upon how she doesn't hide our relationship even though it ended on such a bad note.

I genuinely wanted to say my thanks to her but considering the surrounding, I thought I would better wait.

"Since you are already here, I would take my leave." I got out of my stupor when I heard the ragged tone of the boy who just huffed in irritation right now before walking away with heavy steps.

"Shizuku-san." Akira without turning her eyes from me called for the girl who previously stepped behind her.

"Hai." With a quick and serious response, the girl walked beside her and stood patiently for her next order.

'....is my job in danger...?'

"Please take Ryu-kun safely to the class and remember..." Akira finally turned her eyes toward the girl in a way that made the latter one, a little startled visibly.

" Don't let him get bothered by anyone, okay?"

A/N:- Is the pace slow? I mean I can fast forward it but the detail would get shortened.

And about this Akira's love-sick boy, then don't worry I would deal with him soon. I wanted to take this person for a long route but the way I have written Akira's personality I don't think she would let the blondie survive in the school so everything would happen real soon.
