Chapter 18: Chapter 18 – Checking the footage

"No," she answered.

"Where did you put your purse when you were working yesterday?" I ask her.

" I am working in the cash counter section, so when I am working, I put my purse on the desk beside me." She replied.

" And the day before yesterday?" 

" Same as yesterday," she replied.

"Okay, then can you tell me that when you are in the shopping mall, you go somewhere when you didn't bring your purse with you?" I asked.

" Ummm….. I think when I went to the bathroom or something when I went out for lunch, I did not bring my purse at that time. My coworker was there, so I normally didn't bring my purse," she replied after some thinking.

" The purse you brought today was the same purse you brought yesterday in the shopping mall?" 

" Yes," 

" The purse that you bought yesterday has the same design as the purse you bought two days ago?" I asked her.

" Yes. Actually, I have two purses that have the same design. The purse I brought before yesterday got dirty so yesterday I changed my purse, and brought the other one. They both are the same in color and designs." She replied.

" Miss Kenny, yesterday, did you feel anyone touched your purse?" I asked her.

" Ummm……. Now I think that someone touched my purse. Actually, yesterday I forgot to bring my purse when I went out for lunch. One of my friends paid the bill for me. When I came back and opened the purse to return the money to my friend, I felt that someone had touched my purse," she replied to me.

" Okay, I understand."

" Now, Miss Kenny, can you tell me if you have CCTV cameras around your account section?" I asked her.

" Yes," she replied.

" Okay, Miss Kenny, now you need to do two things. 

First, can you search for the purse that you bought 2 days ago? Try to see if any Pen drive was there or not.

Second, with me, you needed to go to your shopping mall. We needed to check the CCTV camera. " I explained to her what she needed to do.

" Okay," she replied.

" Okay, then Miss Kenny. Goodnight," with that I hung up. 

Now you can say everything became clear to me. I don't know if my guess was correct or not? But I can only know after checking the CCTV of the Jain shopping mall.

Now I am sitting at my study table and checking the CCTV footage on my laptop that I got from the shop uncle.

At first, everything was normal. The shop uncle opened his shop, then after cleaning the dust, he began to wait for customers. 

Then at 9:30 a.m., a person enters the shop. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. He was also wearing sunglasses and a mask. Because of this, his face wasn't clear in the footage. 

I saw the person after entering the shop from time to time inspecting the shop. It looks like you are searching for something. And like the shop uncle said, the person asked him something. It is probably when the person asks the shop uncle about the number of the motorbike. After getting no answer, he left the shop. 

I once again rewind the footage. I don't know why, but I felt that something was weird in this footage. It was like my mind telling me that something was weird in this footage.

I once again saw the footage. But this time, I was more focused. This time I found something that I didn't find previously. I saw that guy with a black color bracelet on his right hand. I also think that the guy always keeps his left hand in his pocket. Don't know why but it feels weird. But, I won't be able to tell just by seeing the footage. 

"Sigh," I sighed after not finding anything. 

I am feeling tired, so I decided to sleep. So, with no delay, I get up from the study table and lay down on my bed.

Next day, 

At 8:00 p.m. I woke up from my sleep. After freshening up now, I am eating breakfast. Today I have many things to do. I needed to search for the Genex logo, then I also needed to go to the shopping mall with Kenny, and lastly, I needed to go to college. 

After finishing my breakfast, I am currently in my room and looking at my laptop. Actually, I took a screenshot of the bracelet that the guy had on his right hand, and I am searching for it. 

At 12:00 p.m. I will be going to the Jain shopping mall with Kenny. I have a lot of time before going to the shopping mall, so there are no two ways I am searching for this bracelet.

I found that this bracelet is called a black crystal. This bracelet has three crystals. Because this bracelet calls back crystals. The price of this bracelet is 1 million dollars. So it means not everybody can afford this bracelet. 

I didn't search for a shop that sells this type of bracelet. In our city, we didn't have that money jewelry shop that sold this type of bracelet. I found that we only have jewelry shops in our city that sell this type of bracelet. 

Brion Jewelry and Stylex Jewelry. These two are the jewelry shops where I can find the bracelet. So, yea guesses it right, I also needed to search in these two jewelry shops about the bracelet.

At 11: 40 a.m. I left my house and went toward the Tanvi colony. I will pick up Miss Kenny and then go to the shopping mall. 

After reaching the Tanvi colony, I called Kenny.

A few minutes later, she came out of her house. I think she is quite tired. You can guess that she wasn't able to sleep yesterday. 

"Good morning Miss Kenny,"
