Chapter 7: Chapter 7 – Searching for clues

Arthur is now searching the alleyway carefully. He needed to know if the criminal left behind any trace. In which place Kenny got attacked, he searched the area's every corner. 

Even after searching carefully, he didn't find any trace. When Arthur was about to advance from there to the West plaza, he saw something. He saw a red spot on the wall. Arthur crouched down and examined the red spot carefully. After careful observation, you can tell that it was blood that became solid. But the question is now "whose blood was this? Is this Kenny's blood or the killer's blood?"

From the spot where Kenny got assaulted, this wall is pretty far away from the spot. Kenny previously told him ‌she fell to the ground after the killer hit her head with the metal pipe. So this cannot be Kenny's blood because her blood can't travel here automatically. This wall and the spot where Kenny got assaulted, has a wide distance, at least 500 m. 

He carefully collects the blood in a small container. Then he once again started searching.

Arthur POV: 

After searching the area around the Tanvi where Kenny got assaulted, now I am near the West plaza. Previously, the old man told me that the enemy escaped this way while many people were chasing him. 

So I want to know if there are any clues here. I didn't find any clues around the area where I could get assaulted. Also, police have already cleaned the blood. Many children were in the area, so it wasn't appropriate for children to see blood. Because of this, the police have already cleaned this area. 

Previously, she told me ‌she saw blood in the killer's mouth. I think the police have also already cleaned the killer's blood. 

From Kenny's description, I can tell that the killer is intelligent. He also already makes preparations, where he doesn't need to leave behind clues. "So, why does he have blood on his mouth? Did he get injured or something?" These are the questions I am having right now. 

I need to think about it later. Right now, my primary focus is to find clues. But even after searching for some time, I didn't see any clues. 

" Sigh, I don't think I will find anything here." After taking a deep breath, I decided to leave the alleyway. 

But when I was about to leave the alleyway, I saw something in something near the dustbin. Near the dustbin, I can see many broken things. Residents of this area put their broken things here. Not that surprising. But what surprised me was that I saw a small logo or something like that. 

I quickly came toward the logo and couch down to examine the logo carefully. If it was your normal logo, then I won't be getting that much surprise, but this wasn't your normal logo. Because I can see blood marks on that logo.

"This should be a logo of a cloth company. But why is blood in this logo?" I think about it. Carefully pick up the logo with tweezers and put it in a small box. This logo could be the killer hoodie's logo or it belongs to the killer. I will search for details about the logo later. 

Finally, I am out of the alleyway. Police also sealed this side of the alleyway. Now I am in the West plaza. It was one of the busy market areas. I can see many shops near the alleyway. I walk toward a shop. 

"Hello, I am detective Arthur. I wanted to ask some questions about yesterday," I asked the shop owner while showing my detective badge. The shop owner is a middle-aged man. 

"Uncle, are you aware of the incident that happened yesterday?" I asked him. Because it can be that not everyone knows about yesterday's incident. 

"Yes, boy. Yesterday I was about to close the shop when I heard an uproar. I saw ‌many people were chasing a guy. But the guy was quick and when he exited the alleyway, suddenly a person with a bike approached him. The guy quickly sat in the bike's backseat and escaped from there."

" At first, I didn't know what happened here. But, then I asked the person who was also changing the guy. He told me that this guy was a killer, and he was about to kill a girl. I quickly closed my shop and went to the alleyway to see the girl's condition." This middle-aged man explained what he saw yesterday.  

After listening to his explanation, I finally understood how the killer escaped. So the killer wasn't alone. He has a teammate. 

"Uncle, did you notice the bike's number, or did anyone note it down?" I quickly asked him. 

" No, I didn't see the number of the bike. I don't know if he was the killer. If I knew that earlier, then I could stop him from escaping. Also, I don't know if anyone will note down the number. Sorry about that boy," the shop uncle said to me in a sad tone. 

"No problem, uncle. It was natural for anyone not to randomly note down any bike's number. It's just uncle, if you find anyone that notes down the bike's number please call me on this number and tell me the bike number," I told the shop uncle. With that, I left the shop. 

"Boy…. Boy….. Boy," when I was about to go to another shop, the shop uncle suddenly called me. I turned around and saw the shop uncle coming towards me. 

"Boy… I remember something that I think I should tell you. Before you came here, a person like you, who called himself a detective, came to me and asked about yesterday's incident. Not only me, but he also asked many others about yesterday's incident. Like you, he also asked me if I saw the bike's number, but I didn't. So he left the shop." Explain all of this to me.
