Chapter 124: -Special: Chikako surveils the situation

---PoV:  Sakuraba Chikako--- 

I came home late, and to a big crisis that happened between Onii-chan and Ruru-chi!  Onee calls her Ruru-sensei, but Shi-chan calls her Ruru-chi which sounds more fun, so I’ll call her that too!  I tried to ask the people downstairs, but… everyone was deflecting my questions as to what was going on.  It’s fine if they think I’m a child, I’ll just find out what’s going on myself, upstairs.

I grab a can of soda, and a small bag of chips that Kouta has stashed away for us.  We had a conversation about liking so many of the same things… so he said I can raid it anytime I want, and to let him know if it gets low.  Under the final bottle of cola is a 2,000Y note, so that if I drink the last one, I can go get more from the Seven or the super.  He doesn’t care that I have my own money, he just feels that he should be the one that provides.  

Onii-chan is a good guy.  Which is why I want to see what’s going on, and if I can help him.  Ruru-chi’s a nice enough girl, and Shi-chan has said to me while we watched them have the threesome, that Ruru-chi is necessary to Kouta if he ever hopes to keep his garden.  That’s important to me.  I want to be one of his flowers too.  He called me his Buttercup.  It sounded ridiculous, but it seems he thought about it.  The meaning behind it was wisdom, intelligence, and innocence.  It’s not like he’s wrong, and in a way it’s in much the same way papa gave me this name too.

I open up the laptop and pull up the camera configuration.  They did mention Kouta was here… but where?  …  …  ah!  He’s in the Nursery Room… asleep?  I could sneak in there and give him a special kind of cheering up, but … I’m sure there are other opportunities.  Right now, if it’s a matter to make all of them upset, I should find out what’s going on.

Seeking video feeds to the moment after we left for school today…

Scanning for first signs of activity…

---Cameras (3):  FD Outside/Door Cam/Entryway---

Ruru-chi is approaching the house.  She looks like shit, or it’s the fact these things don’t give the promised 720p picture they promised to.  She puts the key in the door and enters.  She’s looking around at first then takes a couple steps towards the inside of the house.

---Cameras (3):  Kitchen/Kitchen Table A (north)/ Kitchen Table B (south)---

Seeing on the KT north camera, Kouta exited his mother’s bedroom just a few moments before.  I watch as he heads towards the living room.  It’s at that moment he must have heard the door open, because he turns around and walks back, and catches Ruru in his line of sight.

Both of them freeze in their tracks upon seeing each other.  Kouta seems to be actually changing color into red, and his fists are clenched tightly, like he’s about to fight!

“Kouta-kun… I’m sorry!” she says as I watch her put her hands out in front of her and takes a step backward.  Ruru looks Ume did … that day.  That day she didn’t let me hug her. Is that what happened to Ruru?  But why is Kouta angry, I can’t help but wonder?

“I just came to get my things.  I’m going home to my apartment.  I’ll leave you alone… just don’t hit me.”

What she’s saying makes no sense to me yet.  But it seems like breakup talk.  Why is she concerned about him being violent?  I’ve never seen Onii-chan be violent, if anything he’s the opposite.  See!  His hands have unclenched and he’s going back into Reiko’s room.

…

I see his mother coming out of her room instead on the KT north camera, she quickly moves to give Ruru-chi a hug.  Kouta has chosen to not come out.

Those two sit down at the table.  

“Ruru?  What happened with you two at Osaka?”  Reiko-san asks.

“I fucked up.  Someone… took advantage of me, and Kouta saw.  I didn’t mean for it to happen… but… I don’t know what to do!  I was just going to collect my things, then go back home.  I don’t know where I could even begin to apologise for what happened, and how it got so out of control, so quickly…”  Ruru-chi says.  

Wow… so… Kouta got… cheated on by Ruru?  No.  She said ‘took advantage’ and ‘didn’t mean for it to happen’ …so, was she raped, like Onee and Shi-chan or was there some other reason?

“Don’t worry, dear.  I’ll have him sit down, and we’ll get to the bottom of it, together.”  

She turns to face her bedroom from the kitchen area and calls out “Kouta! Get out here this instant!” 

Kouta if anything looks even more red, almost purple, and he exits the room.  Reiko-san is holding on to Ruru-chi protectively, and yells at him again.

“Sit down!  Don’t you dare fucking run away!”  she screams at him.  The look he gives her… I can’t see it perfectly on any of the camera shots, but I swear the killing intent of Kouta towards both of them right now… was visible on the footage!  Did… he assault them?

“Sit. Down!” His mother tells him in a tone of finality, but he resists with a firm “No.”

“Then leave.” she says, her eyes visible enough to see that she meant that he shouldn’t come back. 

“Fine!” He says and bangs the table hard, hurting my poor ears in these high quality headphones.  I follow him from the kitchen cameras to the front door camera, and once he reaches the sidewalk, he’s gone.

Apparently all this started around 1pm?

I didn’t get home until close to five, today.  

I continue to watch the footage.

“Ruru, care to tell me what exactly happened?”  Reiko-san begins with an open ended question to Ruru-chi.

“Everything went better than expected until I fucked it up, badly… irreparably!” Ruru starts a bit high-pitched “Kouta met my whole family, and while they all thought he was a bit young, they seemed generally okay with him as a whole, and he gave some good replies when they asked what his intentions were with me.  So my daddy organized a little celebratory dinner to congratulate us on the successful pregnancy, and future marriage.”  she holds up a hand. “I know…” then puts it down to continue “Everything went fine until I saw my neighbor, a woman whose name I never knew, but who is basically responsible for my growth sexually as a woman, whether she intended to be or not.”

Reiko pulls out a cigarette and offers Ruru one, but Ruru-chi declines it.  That seemed to surprise her.

“No.  I think I’m going to quit for a while… That’s probably partly to blame for what happened.  You see…”

I listened to Ruru-chi explain to Reiko-san about Onii-chan and her doing some kind of sex-play in her room with a neighbor and her husband while watching through the room’s windows?  Then Ruru gets bold enough to ask Onii if he’ll allow her to have sex with the woman as a form of closure from her childhood, and he says yes, but only with the woman.  The next day, it happens while he’s out fishing.  Ruru said she wanted to let Kouta see it, because he loves to watch her, and she loves to be watched by him… then it gets strange.

“She had these cigarettes, hand rolled.  I thought she was one of those types, who like the old fashioned stuff.  It turned out to be a marijuana cigarette.  I didn’t even know!  I’ve.. never encountered any of those kinds of drugs.  There were all other kinds of stuff, like scented candles, and incense in her room…  I wish I could tell you how much of a bundle of nerves I was meeting her finally in person… but that’s the strange part.  I felt really good, Reiko.  Like… everything was super loose, and there was no tension or stress between us… and we had a good time.”

“Then what, dear?”  Reiko-san asks her.

“Then… well… we… me and Ana-san… were doing a sixty nine.  She grabs hold of me, and really goes at it.  This is at the time Kouta-kun should be watching from across the way.  All of a sudden I feel something enter me.  I thought at first it was Kouta-kun… you  know?  Maybe he saw a bit too much and wanted to join.  But… it felt wrong… inside.  It wasn’t Kouta-kun.  I look back, and it’s her husband.”

Ruru puts her face into her hands and cries for a bit before proceeding again.

“I freak out… I’m totally freaking out.  There’s no way Kouta-kun didn’t see it!  I didn’t give him permission, only Ana-san, but I think she misunderstood something from the beginning.  I think she thought when I said to her Kouta-kun likes to watch… that it was just peeping on me with her… she might have thought it was… that other thing… you know… neto…”

Reiko nods.

“You are sure it was him inside of you?”

“I’m as sure as anyone who’s under the influence can be.  I tripped over something that looked like… one of those things… but it was weird looking, and large.  What I felt was large, but not long like Kouta-kun is… that’s what tipped me off that it wasn’t him in the first place.  It didn’t feel right.  So… without knowing, I have to assume the worst.  A man who was not Kouta-kun was inside of me, and I don’t even know if he used protection or not!  I do know he didn’t come inside of me.  I checked immediately after she let me loose.”

“That’s awfully close to a rape, dear.”

“That part was nonconsensual, but … because I didn’t establish everything clearly beforehand… I kind of invited it… and ruined everything with Kouta-kun!  That’s why I came to collect my things...”

I feel terrible hearing this.  I can only imagine Onee having something like that happen to her again because of mom, and Onii-chan finding out.  Would he react the same?  Would she?

Those two go into her room, for a little while and come out.  She has a bag slung around her shoulder.  The bag is almost half the size of her!

“I’m going home to pack.  I don’t know what else to do… and I… I just don’t want to hurt him anymore than I already have.  I saw it on his face when I just came in.  I wanted to be with him, but I understand I don’t deserve it.  I’ll make sure the baby is taken care of… my parent’s will help me.  When it’s time I’ll let Kouta-kun know.”

“I can’t say you are overreacting, but don’t be so hasty!  Both of you are still raw with emotion over what happened, give yourselves a little time to get a handle on what transpired, and understand your real feelings to each other.  That’s all I’m asking.”

Ruru-chi hugs her, and then takes off.  I see her take out her phone and make a call as she exits the view of the outside camera.

It’s about ten minutes until three, when Kouta comes back, and Reiko-san is waiting for him at the table.

She attempts to talk about it with him, but he wants nothing to do with the conversation.  I follow him with the cameras, and see him come up to our room.

---Camera (2) Bedroom(ours): Above door/Closet gap---

I see Kouta enter the room that was once his, but now belongs to Ume and I.  He only takes a few steps in, and faces it.  The poster I also see.  This semi-erotic poster of Shi-chan beckoning him with open arms.  

He simply caresses the face on the poster, and begins talking to it.

“It wasn’t easy at all with you.  So much I wanted to ignore and pretend wasn’t real.  The worse of it all was knowing you had done it with my father.    Even telling me later with Mahiro and Rina… about all the others, because I didn’t know about it, I could still play pretend, and that it didn’t count.   But I saw her… she.. it looked like she didn’t even try and bother to fight it.  She was surprised or something, then saw it wasn’t me and still didn’t give a shit, and let him inside her.”

He falls to his knees.

“This is punishment for something.  It’s my absolute luck.  It’s either so amazing or so unfortunate, that there’s no safety.  It’s not going to be some misunderstanding is it?  My Ruru… my healing place… is gone…

I watch him weep.  Not tears, just frustration.  I for the first time in my life understand that now is not the time to try and make a pass at him.  He doesn’t need sex, he just needs a good hug, and someone to promise him it will be okay.

He leaves the room after grabbing a cute octopus plush pillow called Kuu-tan from the bed, and heads downstairs quietly to the nursery.  I’ve only got one camera there.  He sits in the sofa chair with the lights off, and holding on to the plush doll.

It looks like he’s asleep.

So I follow the cameras until I get to the arrival of Onee and Shi-chan home from school.

---Cameras (3):  Kitchen/Kitchen Table A (north)/ Kitchen Table B (south)---

It’s about three-twenty when they arrive home.  They see Reiko-san tapping the table, and go to see what’s wrong.  Reiko explains everything that transpired with Kouta and Ruru during the trip that she was told, and then what happened separately.  Both Onee and Shi-chan look concerned.  

“Shi-chan, what should we do to help?” Onee asks her.

“I don’t know.  Kouta is really sensitive about this stuff.  Last time this happened with her… it was really bad.  It might be best to steer clear of him for a while…” Shi-chan says.

“She’s done this before?”

“Last time involved a woman, but… this time…” Shi-chan shakes her head.  “There’s no way it was intentional.  Ruru-chi loves Kouta.  If she didn’t, I wouldn’t have let her near him.”

“...”

“Umeko, will you trust me?  I’ll go check on him… if he’s aggravated, I don’t mind being on the receiving end, this body is for him to do what he wants with, so … it might be less traumatic than if it were to happen to you…”

“If what were to happen?” Onee asks.  Shi-chan whispers in her ear, and Onee’s face pales.

“Really?”

“Really.”

Onee nods, and Shi-chan holds her hand for a bit.  She checks upstairs, and when finding nothing, goes downstairs into the nursery.  

---Camera: Nursery---

Shi-chan enters the room, and finds Kouta asleep on the sofa chair holding on to Kuu-tan.

She is careful in how she disturbs him, but eventually wakes him.

“Shi-chan…”  he looks at her, sadly.

“I heard, Kouta.”  She says.  “Is it safe to hug you?”

She doesn’t wait for a reply, and sits on the side of the couch, and carefully holds him.

“Do you want to let it out on me?” She asks him.  But he only shakes his head.

“No.  I hurt you enough last time, didn’t I?  I’d rather not wake up in the hospital again.”

“I can’t tell you it’s okay for you, but I don’t believe for even a second she did that on purpose.  If I thought for even a second she would, I would never have invited her into the garden.  There’s always a chance, Kouta, that… maybe…”

He only shakes his head.  He pulls out his phone, and shows her something.  These cameras are not good enough to show it without flickering, there must be a difference in hertz, because I can’t make out anything.

Shi-chan just shakes her head.

“Oh... no…”

Shi-chan is staring in disbelief at the video.

“Kouta… what will you do?  I… don’t want you to discard her.”

He shrugs.

“It’s twice now.  Three times if you include Kanae along with Sato.”

“Can there…”  she begins, but he’s just shaking his head before she can finish her sentence.

“...”

“Would you rather Umeko was here instead of me?” she asks him.

He shakes his head again.  “Makes no difference, does it?  Everyone will betray me eventually…  for Umeko, it’s only a matter of time too, isn’t it?”  He lobs the phone away from himself and onto the floor. “Not that I have any right either, do I?  I mean, I cheated on you three with Ume to begin with after everything that happened that Sunday…  I should be able to accept this, but I can’t, for some reason… I just can’t.”

“Even though they were all you Kouta, some part of me knew… and every one hurt me so deeply… I know my mind is… messed up.  But, you managed to accept me, in the end, haven’t you?  Do you not love her?”

“I’m not in love with the pain she can give me.  I thought it only you who could deliver that.  Even what Kanae did… didn’t hurt me.  Knowing you went to act on it… that’s what hurt.  I’ve loved you since that day, Shi-chan, I just didn’t know it.  Maybe some part of my heart did, and that’s why I harbored those feelings for so long, but…”

“Nihehe~ Kouta loves me<3.”

He nods.

“Want to run away with me?”

He nods again.

“It’s no good Kouta.  I won’t go without Ruru-chi and Kanae though. So I’ll just have to wait until you can find the strength.  I’ll be upstairs until you send me away if you need to let loose.  Umeko also I imagine will also be here for you.  If that doesn’t work, go visit Kanae.”

“I just came back from Kanae.  That’s why I’m in here, alone.  Kanae is planning on bringing her back at dinnertime.  I need to decide on what to do.  But I’m still unsure.  I don’t really want to fool around or anything… I just want to be alone.”

“Alright Kouta.  But, we’re all here for you.  I do hope you’ll find the answer you are searching for.”

Shi-chan kisses him, and gets off the edge of the sofa-chair and exits the room.

---Cameras (3):  Kitchen/Kitchen Table A (north)/ Kitchen Table B (south)---

Shi-chan goes back to the table, and explains what she talked about with Kouta.  All three of them just sit at the table talking until I see myself walk in.

I minimize my cameras and creep quietly downstairs and enter the nursery room.  Kouta is back to hugging Kuu-tan, and has his eyes closed.

“Onii-chan?” I call out softly to him.

“Chikako?”

“Onii-chan, can I give you a hug?”

He doesn’t say no.  So I climb onto his lap, and with Kuu-tan between us, I just hug him.

“You look like you need a hug.  So that’s all I’ll do. Okay?”

He lets out an indifferent sound.  It’s good enough for me.

“Bad things happen to good people Onii-chan.  But you always make things better for them.  For Onee and I, for Shi-chan… just remember that. I don’t know what’s going on, no one will tell me.  But you just looked like you needed a hug.  I know when I feel down, Onee will just hug me until I feel better.  So I’ll treat you this time.”

At some point, he wrapped his arms around me.  

Was it enough?  I hope so.  I left him when his arms went slack.  I think he was asleep.  Or he was faking it good enough.  I was going to try to kiss him to be sure, but I decided not to at the last moment.

When I left the room, the door opened again, and Ruru-chi had returned with a tall woman, who looked really fashionable, and really tall compared to Ruru-chi.

That’s when I saw Reiko-san stand up suddenly and shout. “Kanae!?”

“Found a stray, heard you’re collecting them now, old hag.” The tall one says to Reiko-san.

“Kana-chan!” Shi-chan smiles and runs over to hug her and Ruru-chi.

“Couldn’t let Ruru leave without at least saying what she needs to say to him first.”

“Onii-chan is in the nursery.” I tell Ruru-chi.

“Nursery?” the tall fashionable girl asks.

“Uun.  The guest room was converted…” Reiko-san says to her.

She only smiles wickedly at Kouta’s mom and rubs her own stomach. “Sounds good.  Plenty of room, I hope?”

“...”

“...”

“There’s always room for family, Kanae.”

“Ha ha ha ha.  Well, you’re his mother, so I’ll listen to what he has to say about it.”

“...”

Ruru-chi walks by me and I give her a hug and whisper to her “Just go in and hug him.  Don’t say anything.  Trust me.  He just needs lots of hugs.”

She looks at me and nods.

I pull out my phone and pull up the nursery camera.

She enters and doesn’t say anything.  Meanwhile everyone out here is sitting at the table and discussing those two, and what to do.  The only one assured that everything will be fine is the one called Kanae.

Onee is very tense once she sees her for some reason.

Oh.. there she goes!  Ruru has slowly approached Onii-chan and has climbed in his lap.  … … what’s she doing?

She’s just laid down on top of him.  Oh.  His arms wrapped around her!  That’s a good sign.

The tall one is rummaging through the fridge now, and has pulled out everything in the refrigerator.  She’s immediately going to work … cooking?  Whatever she’s making already smells great!

There’s no change on the camera in the room.

No.. wait, Kuu-tan is on the floor, she’s resting directly on him.  Being a loli is not fair!  You don’t weigh anything Ruru-chi! Kuu-tan probably was heavier than you are!  He’s just holding her tightly.  Is he even aware of her consciously?  Was there even a problem to begin with if he can hold her like that?

…

In about forty minutes a feast is prepared by the tall woman, and we all sit down and eat.  After a few minutes, the tall woman gets up and peeks into the nursery, then she comes back.  

“Let’s leave them be for a bit, and talk about the new sleeping arrangements…” she says, with a very cheshire cat smile across her face. “Shi-chan I believe is staying in my room, and that’s just fine with me…<3”

…

Not throughout the whole of dinner did either of those two move from their position.

When they finally did….

(Special Secret:  As for what transpired in the room.  Chikako cut the camera feed.  Somehow, she felt, that was a hug that should remain private between them.)
