Most of my shifts working at Cherī cherī, should really only have been about an hour or two of work. Instead I worked from 4:30 to 9:00 PM. Todoroki said that in case there's a mishap with the make-up or hair, he'd rather have me here so that I can fix it quickly. It rarely happened when one of the girls would need help with something like that, so for the most part I would just end up cleaning the backroom, or vape in the back alley way behind the club.

On one of these occasions when I was outside, sitting on an abandoned drink crate, vaping while scrolling through my phone, I heard the back door open. I thought it might've been one of the girls looking for me so I instantly sat up so I could see what they needed, except it wasn't one of the hostesses or Todoroki. It was a man that I had never met before.

I thought that maybe he was a customer and got lost so I asked him if he needed help.

"Īe." He responded with such a cool casual tone. I kind of just stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do with myself. As I was about to start walking away, the man spoke up again.

"Do you speak English?"

"Yes I do."

"Ah, you must be the make-up artist Todo hired."

"Oh, yes. My name is Tabi!"

"Tabi must be short for something else... What's your actual name?"

"Tabitha."

"Nice to meet you Tabitha. My name is Hinata."

I bowed ungracefully and mumbled under my breath, "Nice to meet you Hinata."

Who was this guy and why was he talking to me so casually? I still don't even know why he came out the back door either. This alley way wasn't very well lit so I could barely make out his face, only the silhouette of his fra-

"Oh! That's right! I just realized you probably don't even know who I am!" He roared with laughter, "I probably just seem like a pervert right now". I could not agree more, I thought to myself.

"I'm sorry Tabitha, I'm the club owner."

"Oh!" I thought Todoroki was the club owner.

"Todoroki just helps me look after the place while I'm gone and gives me updates." Can this guy read my mind?

"Oh, that makes sense now."

"Yeah I was actually on a business trip in America for the past month and after Todoroki had told me he had hired an American girl, I wanted to come and formally introduce myself."

He's very gentleman-like, and I'm not sure how to handle this. His English is so good and he talks with so much confidence. If anything, his English might be even better than mine.

"Well, I hope I'm doing good work. Thank you for having me here!" I bowed my head again, this time a little better.

"You are doing really good work. I've noticed all the girls look more unique and not so bland. So thank you, and you don't have to be so formal with me either."

I caught myself mid-bow and stood up straight, "Thank you very much!".

Suddenly the back door swung open again, and one of the hostesses had come poking her head outside.

"Tabisan! I need he- Oh! Nakao-san, anata ga ryokō kara modottekita to wa shirimasendeshita!" She frantically bowed her head. While I stared at the hostess bowing her head, I looked over at Hinata and he was not staring at the hostess, but me instead, and this time though it wasn't just the tall black silhouette I could see. After the hostess had opened the door, the light from inside was able to shine on Hinata's face.

He had this grin on his face, which created a cute eye smile. From his eye smile I could see that he had a bit of wrinkles, so my guess is that Hinata is in his late 30s. His hair wasn't naturally straight like most Asians, but instead he had a bit of waviness that formed loose locks, it looked like he might have curled his hair. He had a bit of a mustache growing with a goatee. His nose was rather flat, but had a very defined jawline, thus giving him model-like features. I could tell he was tall from the silhouette, but with the indoor light shining on him now, he looked even taller, probably close to 6 ft.

It probably looked as though I was gawking at Hinata because all of a sudden I felt a tug on my hand.

"Tabi-san!"

"Mōshiwakearimasen!"

How long was I focused on him for? I felt my cheeks burning. I quickly turned around and ran inside, dragging the hostess along with me without saying another word to Hinata. I think I had heard a faint "See you later Tab-", though the backdoor had slammed shut before I could hear the rest.
