Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Nekomancy

You now awake again.

"Oh shit."

You are still in the void, regretting every decision you've made. Your soul has been halved. You start to forget things. Your name… what is it? How old are you now? What do you look like? Who are your best friends? Do you even have friends?

You're screwed.

You have lost all your sense of who you are. Well, not really all, as you can still remember your waifus' names and face. It turns out that those things have been engraved into your soul too deeply, making you and your waifus can never be separated spiritually.

You think about a little girl with blue hair and a maid outfit. Her smile quickly comforts you. It's a smile with a million volts.

But… there's still something else. Your power… what exactly was in that half of the soul which got disintegrated? What kinds of power were taken away from you? And what are the things you have left?

Those are important questions you need to answer ASAP.

But… how?

The next thing you notice is that you no longer have a physical body. You are just a glowing sphere, but with a few dark spots inside it. You start to worry about those dark spots. They're like dirty mud, sticking hard onto the sphere's surface. Is this...

"Seems like your soul is a bit… unclean, my friend."

Out of nowhere, a young man approaches you. You startle. Looking carefully at him, you see that he possesses a very familiar face, but you cannot figure out who he is no matter how hard you rack your brain.

Oh, you realize that you have no brain too.

The man then smiles wryly. This disturbs you a lot, even though he is really ReLLY handsome!

"W..who are you?" you ask, your sphere body glows with every word you say.

"Haha, so you really lost the ability to know who I am. Well…" the man stops to think a bit. "Aha! I am Yu!"

"Yu?"

What kind of funny name is that? Yu?

You search your memory again for someone named Yu. Have you met this person before? You sure you have. But… this is strange. Is he Chinese? Or, are… are you Chinese?

Wait.

You notice something...

The more you look at the man, the more suspicious he becomes. You cannot explain this, but it's a very strong gut feeling. He is emitting an indescribable aura of a degenerate pervert lolicon who cannot be trusted.

Is he trying to trick you? Is he trying to kidnap you?

Or perhaps... BLEND you!?

"Well, my name doesn't matter," says the man. "All you need to know is that I am the God of this realm, and you have been reincarnated here to help me solve a crisis. Basically, you can think that this world is a game, and you have to beat it by defeating the final boss."

Huh?

God? Game? Reincarnation?

The guy now have your attention.

"It will be tough, but don't worry, I will help you if needed. And there will also be waifus," the man adds. "Oh, I mean incredibly beautiful women."

Hearing that, dark spots inside your sphere grow in sizes, making it muddy. Waifu… what a powerful word. It's weird. You don't understand this word, but it still somehow resonates with you, making you excited.

If what you are feeling is right, then waifus should be the equivalent of true happiness.

You have become so excited to the point of forgetting how shady the guy is.

So, "What do you mean? Can you explain more to me?" you ask.

"Of course!" the man smiles again. He then claps his hands, and in the blink of an eye, you return to a place you have been before.

The Graveyard.

"Well, do you think the readers will mind a little bit of info dump?"

Standing on top of a tombstone wearing a trench coat and trying to look badass, the man asks you this weird question.

Heh?

What? Readers? Info dump?

"What do you mean?" you have no idea what the man is talking about.

"Haha, nevermind, let's get started."

The man says and claps his hand again.

A giant white board appears in front of you.  These events don't really make any sense to you. But as the man promised about "Waifus", you don't really mind.

On the board, some words magically appear as the man waves his hands.

NEKOMANCY

Heh?

Following that, many more words and illustrations appear on the board. There is a funny looking skeleton,  a castle, there is even something about dying in real life means dying in the game…

And cooming in the game also means cooming in real life.

Interesting…

You are starting to like this.

"But... where are the waifus?" you ask, as the man seems to forget about that most important thing.

"Jeez…" the man sighed. "You really are hopeless."

"What?"

"But don't worry, waifus will come to you in future events."

The man then proceeds to explain more about the game.

In short, you are about to be reincarnated into a post-apocalyptic world.

The world has been destroyed by a powerful Lich Queen. However, not all hope is lost.  There is a weapon to stop her. It is her own famous grimoire, the Necronomicon. An angel has stolen the Necronomicon from the Lich Queen and summoned a Hero from a different dimension.

The Hero is you. You have been chosen by fate. Now, alone in this world, you have to use the Necronomicon against its former owner. You have to grow your own abilities, raise your skeletons, raise your zombies, raise your kingdom of death and even raise your own waifus. You will have to form strong and inseparable bonds with your waifus in order to beat the final boss.

Now to the character creation.

Suddenly, a giant book materializes right in front of your eyes. It reads: Nekomancy. The graves surrounding you explode, then you, among all the flesh and bones inside the graves, are sucked into the grimoire.

Before losing consciousness again, you hear Yu's evil laughter coming from somewhere you don't know.

"Muahahaha! Let's see... Gender Female, 19 years old, 155cm, 44 kgs, boobs size... hmmm... C cup, cat ears yes, six packs no.... 

"Perfect!"

Huh?

What the heck was that?

You have no idea what Yu was talking about, but it does concern you a little bit.
