They were looking at each other, so Yoonshin could see that change. However, Sehun didn’t confirm or deny how shaken up he was and simply let the silence trickle like a quiet stream of water. Getting a bit anxious, Yoonshin attempted to maintain his composure and kept going, “Things will probably progress without a blip, and if she’s not a bad person, I’ll probably go with the flow and get engaged, then I’ll get married. My sister said her husband wants to be connected to that family, suggested them to her, and said that it’s much needed for everyone. Plus, I listen to my sister very well. To say it another way, I don’t have a lot of time.”
Yoonshin was cautious, trying to gauge Sehun’s feelings. So far, Yoonshin had never considered the possibility of being sexually attracted to the same sex. He mustered up all his courage for this one possibility that the relationship could develop. He was often conscious of Sehun, while Sehun sometimes felt conflicted because of him. For that reason alone, he thought this was the tree to bark up.
Inside, he wanted Sehun to stop him, but there was nothing between the two, so he couldn’t bring himself to ask directly. However, if Sehun had any mind to hold onto Yoonshin, even if nothing formed from these feelings immediately, it had to be now. Yoonshin was running out of time. He was sure there was willpower to make this progress, but if they kept measuring each other and missed this moment, there might not be another opportunity. He tried to convey all of this through his eyes.
Sehun quietly gazed down at Yoonshin. However, he replied quite unhurriedly, “Why’re you telling me that you have no time?”
Yoonshin’s shoulders that were tense instantly relaxed and turned to mush. “Is that all you have to say?”
“Do I need to say more?”
“Forget it if you don’t understand.”
“Excuse you, but I understood very well.” Thanks to Sehun’s firm and cold tone, Yoonshin flinched, then he blinked slowly. Reiterating his tone, Sehun dryly added, “Keep yourself together and go on your date. If your brother-in-law wanted it, I’m sure it’ll help your lousy career. Oh, I guess it would help our firm too. Best of luck.”
Sehun yanked off his wrist from the younger man’s grip and walked away. Sehun disappeared from sight, and Yoonshin was left to ponder about the ambiguous answer that wasn’t quite encouragement, a greeting, or mockery. Too late, Yoonshin bowed and saw him off, but Sehun didn’t see.
Sehun plodded on, now completely out of the corridor.
He saw his car parked in a corner. A driver from the firm, who was standing by, opened the backseat door. Sehun reached the hood of his car and was about to get into the backseat but stopped to glance at the entrance of the bar. As expected, Yoonshin was not there.

Then he slammed his hands on the frame of the car in a high-strung manner. “F*cking hell.”
“I’m going on a blind date next Sunday.”
When he heard that, he had to acknowledge that he felt more rage bubbling in him than when he saw Yoonshin smile with his swollen eyes.
Sehun was extremely vulnerable to such feelings. He had never been possessive of anyone before, so he had no idea how to get ahold of himself. Plus, what he loathed the most in the world was being unable to control himself. That was why his defense mechanisms activated.
He got in the car after some delay. The driver closed his door, and while he was walking to the driver’s seat, Sehun leaned back comfortably and fell into thought. Inevitably, he ruminated on Yoonshin’s words.
“Are you afraid that you’ll come to like me?”
He glanced down at the necktie that they layered their lips over and ground his teeth. Following that, he yanked off his tie irritably. He hurled it at the passenger seat then closed his eyes in an attempt to push away all his idling thoughts.
But no matter what he tried, Yoonshin’s voice continued to linger and pester him.
After meeting Yoonshin Do again, everything was getting twisted and messed up.
