The dinner was pasta with tomato sauce. It was easy to do, and Quinn loved it.
He still could not comprehend Sebastian's sudden arrival, but Quinn tried his best to send that thought to the back of his mind.
"This is tasty."
Quinn ate the pasta using chopsticks while watching a new TV show that had just been released.
It was a new show about zombies, which was a subject Quinn liked.
There was only one episode, meaning Quinn had to wash the dishes after it ended.
"This is the worst part."
When Quinn finally finished the dishes, it was already late at night, time for him to go to bed.
He turned off all the lights, locked all doors and windows, and went upstairs to his room.
Quinn's tiny house had two floors, but the second floor only had his bedroom and a bathroom.
The first floor had his couch and TV, the table where he did his card reading, and the kitchen in a separate room.
What Quinn enjoyed the most was the privileged vision he had from his bedroom window.
He loved to just stay there and watch the people walking, the birds flying, and the cars on the road.
Quinn did that before bed.
The only things he had inside his bedroom were a king-sized bed and a shelf with some fantasy books he enjoyed reading.
It was simple, yet comfy. Quinn was the type of person who loved to go after money but did not like to waste it.
A tiring day and a good night of sleep were all he wanted to recover his energies.
—
"H- How did you know?" A man wearing a robe said.
It was the enemy Sebastian was looking for all this time and finally caught him.
"Do you think I would let my daughter alone?"
"But you weren't supposed to be here today. HOW?"
Sebastian followed Quinn's tips and stayed close to his daughter, who was just 17 years of age.
The person he was talking to was his butler, James. Sebastian did not know James was linked to the dark arts, but when Quinn said that the problem may be in front of him all this time, then it made Sebastian realize how weird James was acting.
Sebastian was not supposed to be in his house that night, but doing a business trip. James knew that well, for that reason he planned on kidnapping his daughter.
James got caught in the act, right in front of Sebastian's daughter's room.
Even though he was a 6th circle mage, Sebastian had backup. Two of his close friends with similar power to him.
It was not something James could fight against, but he tried.
The surrounding mana channeled in Jame's hand, and a beam of dark energy shot towards Sebastian.
"Magic Barrier, now!"
One friend that was helping to catch James used his mana to create a magic barrier, protecting Sebastian from the upcoming spell.
The other friend did not stand still and channeled a spell of his own. Vines erupted from the ground, curling in Jame's legs, making him unable to move.
All of that was happening. Sebastian finished channeling his spell, which was his signature.

"Blinding Light!"
The hallway was so bright no one could open their eyes. No one except Sebastian, who used that change to get near Jame's and suppressed him with a talisman that inhibited mana.
"NO! Damn it!"
James could not believe all his plans went into the drain.
"You'll never get out of prison, James. The counselor prepared a cell for you on the S floor.
"S floor? That's the place where the worst of the worst goes. I can't survive that. Please, Sebasti-"
Before he could finish, Sebastian knocked him out.
"That was exciting."
The two friends Sebastian brought were mages who went to the same magic academy as Sebastian, back when they were young.
"How did you know it was him?"
One of them asked, but the other was curious as well.
Sebastian grabbed James's body and put it on his shoulder.
He turned around and said, "All I can say is don't piss off the store owner in Brook Lane avenue, store number 7." Sebastian left after that, carrying James. The two other mages were curious to see who exactly was the owner of said store.
"We should look tomorrow." "Absolutely." The alarm clock rang at 6 am, which meant it was time for Quinn to wake up and start his day.
One thing he loved was to take a shower right in the morning, because without that, Quinn was not sure he would be fully awake.
He took a hot-water shower, as anything different from that was only for the crazy people.
Quinn dried his black hair with a towel and went downstairs to make himself breakfast.
The only thing he could think of was the cereal he bought the other day.
"I love cereal, so why not?"
A bowl with cereal and milk. Quinn ate that while watching TV, the morning news.
It had nothing that interesting, but Quinn watched it anyway, as there was nothing better to do.
Quinn was not feeling like washing the dishes in the early morning, so he just tossed the bowl inside the sink and went to brush his teeth.
After that, he went downstairs again and turned the sign of his store from 'closed' to 'open'.
"Will I get some clients today? I hope that advertisement from Sebastian was good." Quinn thought.
The store bell's rang, and two men walked in. These men were middle-aged, just like Sebastian, and wore what looked like robes.
"Cosplayers? That's cool."
"Welcome, welcome." Just like Sebastian, they also scanned the place and found nothing out of the ordinary. What could be wrong with that store owner, who was just a youth?
"Was he lying to us?" One of them thought.
Quinn, like any businessman, offered his services.
"Would you like a card reading, palm reading, or both? Each one is priced at 200 White Dinars."
The price was higher than yesterday, but just like yesterday, the clients accepted.
"We will want the card reading."
