Sebastian left the store in a hurry, as if Quinn had told him the answer to all of his problems.

"It seems this guy liked my card reading. Good, good."

Quinn leaned on his chair, looked at the table where he did his session, and noticed the amount of money there.

"Huh?"

With skilled moves, Quinn counted all the money, leading to an amount of 500 White Dinars.

"500? That's, that's, hahaha."

That amount could last him a month or more if he spent his money wisely.

One client, money for the entire month. Who wouldn't want that life?

Quinn looked through the window and saw the blue sky and the sun shining outside. It was the perfect weather to go out, and now that he had the money, why not go shopping?

The heritage Quinn earned did not include a car in the package. Well, there was a supermarket nearby his store, so walking a little would not kill him.

"If I keep walking, I might as well disappear." Quinn squeezed his arms, which were almost only skin-and-bones.

The days had been hard for him, and Quinn barely ate to not waste the money he had. But now? Quinn would eat like a normal person.

Quinn lived on a street called Brook Lane. It was not the best of places, but it was nice.

The streets were clean, and the people that lived there were kind. For Quinn, a place without constant robbery was all he needed.

"What could they steal from me, anyway? A deck of cards?" A 10-minute walk was enough to make Quinn lose breath, but he achieved his goal.

Quinn looked for a supermarket cart when he got there and went shopping.

"Should I take lots of groceries? No, what if I get no more clients?"

The store had just got the first client, but Quinn wanted to first have a stable income source before spending in all kinds of stuff.

Rice, pasta, meat, vegetables, cereal, and chocolate. Quinn bought enough food to last him a month.

"It's 300 White Dinars."

Quinn paid the cashier and left the supermarket.

He had talked to the manager, asking if he might use the cart to carry the things he bought. The manager said yes, but he had to return the cart as soon as possible.

In front of his store, Quinn was not feeling like walking all over again to return the cart.

"Ah, I'll return that tomorrow."

The best part for Quinn was to unload his food and store it. He loved to arrange everything, especially inside his refrigerator.

"Look at all these things inside. I want to cry."

For the first time, Quinn was sure he would not starve, at least not in the following month.

The hunger had yet to come, so Quinn sat on his couch and turned on the TV, watching the news.

"The day is sunny, but our meteorologists say that days of rain should come, starting on Friday."

"So our walk in the park Saturday is ruined?" The host said, joking with Alice.

Quinn watched all of that and laughed.

"Even the TV host is in a friend zone."

The news changed from weather to things that happened in Crawford, the city where Quinn was living.

It was already nighttime, and the full moon shone in the sky, brightening the outsides of Quinn's store.

He was still watching TV, and even slept on his couch a few times. Quinn woke up with a piece of news that caught his attention.

"A thief was arrested this evening, trying to steal from the Dixon Chamber of Commerce. Sebastian, the owner of the company, said that everything had been dealt with, all thanks to the help of a friend." Quinn was still sleepy, yet understood the news clearly. Hell, he even saw a picture of the person known as Sebastian, and it was the same middle-aged man that went to his store earlier in the day.

"No way, what?"

It was too much of a coincidence, but what pissed Quinn off was the payment he received.

"Sebastian is the owner of a vast company, yet he only paid me 500 White Dinars?"

Maybe destiny was playing another trick on him, because the moment he thought of Sebastian, someone knocked on his door.

The store had the sign 'closed' outside, who could be?

Quinn got up from the couch and looked through the magic eye to make sure it was not something with bad intentions.

It was Sebastian.

"Hey, Sebastian. What brings you to my store this late at night? I don't work 24/7." Quinn said.

It was just a joke, yet Sebastian's face changed entirely.

"I'm sorry to show up without warning you. Please forgive me." Sebastian apologized, yet the thought of dying in the hands of that mysterious person still lingered inside his mind.

Quinn tapped on his shoulder and said, "that's okay, I was just joking. But what brings you here? Did you catch the person you were looking for?" The TV had broadcast the news about a thief arrested inside Sebastian's company, but Sebastian thought he was talking about another thing.

"Does he know I caught my enemy?"

"Yes, yes, everything is okay. Mr. Quinn, I came here to give you this." Sebastian took a black card from his pocket and gave it to Quinn.

"This is a black card from my company. You can get discounts, live for free in our hotels, and enter inside any VIP area of the company. We can also fetch whatever you're looking for." "No, you didn't have to." Quinn tried to refuse, but Sebastian did not let him.

"Please, accept it."

In the end, Quinn had to accept the black card, which apparently only two people had, and one was Sebastian's daughter.

"Did he like it? I'm sure a powerful being like him does not care about money, or else he would not have this run down store."

Sebastian noticed the displeasing look on Quinn's face.

"What use do I have with this VIP card? It is not as if I have the money to buy the precious things I can get with it." Quinn thought.

"I- I'll advertise your store. Would that help?"

Quinn blighted up.

"Absolutely!" More costumers, means more money.

A heavy burden got off Sebastian's shoulder, and he said goodbye to his new friend, Quinn.

Quinn still did not understand why Sebastian came at night, and not the next day.

"Whatever. Rich people are crazy."
