Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Dec 30 3147.

In a lab near what was once North Korea. Surrounded by greens as far as the eye can see, stood a building of metal and stone. inside this structure, people wearing white coats are carefully inspecting the blue plates hovering above a single egg in the center of the room, numerous tubes of varying sizes attached to the glass containing the egg. It has been several months since this egg started showing signs of hatching even though several months have passed since then, the creature inside is still alive.

A few hours later the doors  leading inside the room open revealing a man with unkept red hair wearing the same white coat with a card pinned on his left shoulder.

"How's the little fella" Said the man scratching back of his head as he too started staring at screen like his colleagues. "Stable. The estimated time of birth would be now or tomorrow morning." The one who answered his question was a young woman with sharp purple eyes  wearing the same white coat as the rest.

"Gah! What's this demon doing here!!" The man exclaimed as he unknowingly spoke his thoughts earning him an icy glare from said 'demon' "Dr. Welnot, you would do best to not make such remarks in MY lab." The man- Dr. Welnot - now covering his mouth, nodded his head as he cursed his luck. Although the young woman was quite beautiful, with an hourglass figure, round face and, sharp eyes give her a dependable and strict woman one that any man would stop to look at twice. That's IF they didn't heed the dangerous aura she gives off.

The records of testing and experimenting on the essence of other people are both brutal and efficient having made many significant breakthroughs giving her the position of "Head Researcher" and her own personal lab and now they were given a task to study this particular egg, There were many that looked just like this one but unlike the rest this one didn't react to the presence of another egg which is unusual because other specimens reacted when in a specific range of one another. 'why is this one different' is the question every researcher in this room wants to answer and today may be that promised day.

*Crack

Another web of cracks spread throughout the egg's surface causing everyone in the room to tense up. "Activate the Astral Cube, Prepare the countermeasures and set the defense systems to max!" As the young woman barked orders the rest followed. if whatever that hatched were to be hostile they would have to be prepared. Ever since monsters started appearing from the abyss the animals all over the world started to mutate, now even a small squirrel can kill an adult elephant. and now an unknown creature is about to be born, something that they have never seen before. As everyone in the room started to prepare for the worse more and more cracks started appearing on the egg's surface. Then...

*Crack

Small white had peeked out before grabbing a piece of the egg soon after the sound of crunching can be heard. Everybody in the room stopped their movements, they watched as the small white hand grabbing pieces of the egg shell and brining it inside followed by a crunch which made it obvious what kind of activity the newborn was doing.

 

"It's feeding on the shell?" Asked Dr. Welnot in fascination. Well it would make sense that it would eat the shell since it would be quite famished due to it's long stay inside the egg a creature's first instincts whether it's a monster or a regular animal is to learn how to stand and finding food which their parents would feed them with.

As more and more pieces of the egg get eaten it slowly revealed the figure inside.

It.. Or more appropriately, She had waist length ash grey hair, wine red eyes and pale white skin. But the most surprising thing about her is the power her essence radiated.  For a while only silence ensued as they watched the girl eat the remaining pieces of the egg, they all knew too well what would happen if this little "girl" were to turn against humanity just with her presence alone.

A/N. 

So the internet had a few problems, that were luckily resolved by the afternoon. So what did you guys think of the chapter? Sorry if it's too short. After I get your judgment I plan to remake it so that it could be less confusing(if it was to you) so for now i'll be stock piling on chapters for a whole week. I ran out of ideas for this one fairly quickly if im gonna be honest.
