System: The administrators have evaluated your scheming. They have gifted you with the leadership skill.

The light fell on me as I received a skill, in a way a common occurrence to those who achieve things in such a world, but rare for those who do it, without doing anything palpable. Fenrir shouted, astonished, trembling from shoes to head, pointing at the golden tone of it.

“Look, everyone! The system light has blessed her without the princess doing anything. This is a good omen from the god!”

The system message made me ponder, realizing there was more to it than I initially had thoughts.

‘There’s more than one administrator? Who could they be? Servants of the overseer?’

Still bewitched by the stone glow, the queen exclaimed happily, “this stone is amazing! It could provide us with light during the night!”

With a more worried tone, the husband responded while frowning, “that’s nice love, but our problem is the war that is to come.”

She looked at him unfazed, knowing fully well of her duties. With a serene expression, calming yet reassuring words were brought forth, cleansing the lover of his concerns.

“We shall gather all the fairies from the entire forest! After all, this is but a tiny part of it! Structuring our defenses will be the first step.”

The husband protested, showing how that was a bad plan, “even if we sent out an army outside. How would we defeat the monsters outside of the forest? They are bigger and stronger than us! We also don’t know anything about fighting.”

As confusion grew inside me, I meddled in their conversation, willing to put a stop to it with a solution, “do you not have any weapons or skills?”

“Weapons? We only have sharpened wood sticks at best. We do have skills but their things like flying, cooking, dancing, and some other things, only the guards have offensive magic skills.”

The guard from earlier rose his hand in the air and shoot a tiny fireball that dispersed after traveling for a while as a demonstration. To that, I frowned in disappointment and equipped a bow, which quickly appeared in my right hand. I then aimed at a tree beyond the circles shooting at it.

System: 1 point has been deducted from magical to create an arrow.

“This is a bow. It is used to shoot arrows at enemies,” everyone around started clapping, amazed by such an uncommon display, further bewildered by the exquisite appearance of such a weapon.

The fairy queen found it interesting but was unsure if it was worth anything, thus she flew towards the tree to check the damage. Once she got closer, she realized that the projectile had pierced the thick wood.

“This... it could damage from a safe distance those beasts if we had a lot of these so-called weapons.”

“Do I need to wait a year for a job? Or is it a tradition that happens usually 1 year after?” I questioned my mother with high hopes for a positive answer, as the newborn didn’t want to remain in wait for that long.

“It is but a tradition daughter, and usually the time one needs to get a couple of skills to trigger one. Why do you ask?”

“In that case, please tell me what to do to get a job.” My fiery indigo wings flapped twice, filled with conviction, along with a burning desire deep inside my heart to bring change to the forest.

“You would need to use your skills, but for that, you’d need to have one related to a job. For example, this arrow creation should give you the conditions for one soon,” my father explained clearly while remaining worried through the unfolded events.

After pondering on his words, I remained expressionless for a little while.

‘What kind of job would I get from using a unique skill? It’s worth a try!’

‘It is time to gamble and see what I can get. Craft skill open.’

I extended my arm to the side almost like pushing away the heavy tension in the air, gathering the glances of some of the fairies who remained confused, uneased, and troubled by my words.

‘I don’t know if any of them will influence the job or not, so I’ll go with materials, as they can be anything hopefully unlocking useful recipes to help all of these fairies.’

Despite my willingness to win the game, I truly wanted to help those around me, a feeling born from kinship and the welcome I had received, but most of all for the fact they looked helpless and were going to be dragged into hell soon enough. After all, the overseer had told us via the rules that everyone was very much alive, going as far as to possess a soul of their own. Losing them would surely be like relinquishing a part of me.

‘I’ll go for something fast. Craft one yellow stone edge.’

I glanced over at my mother, who flew back to me.

System: 1 point has been deducted from magical, 60 seconds left.

“Here you go Flamerah.”

Mother gave me the arrow back taken from the shot earlier in the tree. The moment I grabbed it, a voice popped into my mind.

System: New crafting recipes have been unlocked.

‘New things from touching it? This didn’t happen back in the tutorial... craft show me the new stuff.’

Confused about the reason why it happened, I shrugged it off, accepting it for the time being.

Materials:
Arrow - Pine Wood x5
Decompose:
Arrow - Pine Wood x5
Repair:
Arrow - Pine Wood x2

‘Different type of wood? Could it be something related to this world? That only exists here? Store the bow and the arrow for now.’

They vanished from my hand into the inventory instantly.

System: 1x yellow stone edge has been crafted and stored in inventory.

System: The administrators have evaluated your ability and have decided on the crafter profession, player status has been updated, and a job page has been added.

Knowing that I would receive a job from the message, I rose my arms and hands up to the sky, and then a golden light fell on me, bringing yet another grace. The surrounding fairies started praising me.

“Look at that! She’s the one!”

“A savior has come to us on the system’s behalf!”

“Bless our princess and her beauty!”
