Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Third day in Anatra

I woke up from my long dream with Anita's kind toned voice, opening my eyes and taking notice of her long blue hair.

'It's not tied today it seems.'

"Good morning princess Flamerah," she greeted me with a happy face as if nothing abnormal had ever happened the day before.

To that, I smiled, appreciating her good disposition.

"Good morning Anita my dear maid. What are the plans for today?"

She held on to her hands covering part of the face, resisting the embarrassment as much as possible. 

"We have a reunion with the farming chiefs, a talk with the carpenter Lumby, an audience was requested by Alrich, by Fobby and Andrew."

"My memory is not perfect remind me of who Andrew is," I said as I got up, pushing the leaves that were on top of me to the side. They had covered my body from the cold night.

"He's the boy you lent your bow, I don't think he introduced himself last time to you, but that's his name."

"Isn't it a bit too early for an audience from all of them? Barely a day even passed."

"The news spread fast, and the elder's group was disbanded, the three elders are now under your direct service, along with a butler we'll meet on our way to the basement, and of course myself," she hit a hand on her left boob, presenting herself to service, causing me to chuckle.

We started walking to the basement slowly as it was now my base of operations.

"More fairies around me it seems..." I let out a sigh, resisting the urge to kick them out.

"At least you won't feel lonely, also princess you should make amends with your parents, they're not allowed to interfere in direct conflicts with the elders. But since they're gone, I suppose the three of you hold the highest authority now, and one day you will hold it all."

"Well, they better work hard to regain my trust," upon hearing those words my parents smiled, they who were hiding in a section of the hall that we passed through.

'My maid is underestimating me. It was pretty easy to see that they were hiding there, but well I don't really want to fight them as they've mostly treated me well. Even though I won't spare them a second time if it comes down to it. I'm tired of betrayals. I need to reward Anita and Mielle properly as well, I don't forget debts.'

Once we get closer to a male he speaks, "good morning your highness, I am Bernard your butler from henceforth."

"It's nice to make your acquaintance. I'm Flamerah and this is Anita which you probably already know," he bowed deeper as if agreeing to my words.

"Let us proceed there's a lot to do today," upon hearing my words he opened the door and I passed through.

After I entered, I noticed about 30 fairies, 'seems like the number increased yet again, at some point, I'll have to get a bigger basement.'

Every single one of them bowed their heads as they took notice of my presence.

"Good morning everyone, you may all be at ease. I'd like everyone that is not a farmer to move away from the furnace over there, the big stone thing," I pointed to the location to be clear. 10 of them moved aside as I walk closer.

"I don't see Mielle."

"Your highness, I'm her daughter, name's May. My mother is currently running tests with a skill she received fighting alongside you," she bowed politely, smiling giving me a positive feeling.

"Very well," I got closer to her and started dropping the 20 hoes I made on the floor from my inventory making her face more and more surprised as they fell one after another.

"I don't know how many farmers or fields your family have but that's the amount I could make since yesterday."

"Can I pick one, your highness?"

"Hum? Of course, they're for your family," upon hearing my words she lifted one from the floor, taking it outside, causing for all of us to move outside, everyone else after me.

"The way to use it is to lift it in the air with the metal part faced down, and then you plow the land in a long line as you go by pulling the blade," May tried it for a while, receiving my indications, tearing up from happiness as she went on, eventually stopping a few times to wipe her tears on the arms.

'I can't imagine how hard it must've been for these poor souls to do everything with branches and stones.'

I turned around, heading back to the basement and as I do I heard May shouting, "we'll definitely do our best for your wish to come true!"

Upon hearing that I raised out my arm in approvement, letting out a smile that was solely noticed by Anita and Bernard alone as they were the only two who stayed behind and saw me turn around having me facing their direction.

Once I got inside, my bottom took a seat on the closest bench, checking the inventory.

'Seems like they didn't have anything useful other than an abnormal amount of clothing. There must have been one of them who knew tailoring, what a waste.'

I sighed, throwing them out, and added, "distribute them among the peasants who need them."

"Do I announce it was from the princess?"

"You can Bernard," I took notice of his blonde hair, golden eyes, and white wings.

"Very well, I'll handle this right away then," he left the basement through the door that led outside.

'It'd be great to find a way to craft clothes as well, so I wouldn't have to depend on someone else.'

'Armor of some sort instead would also be viable, and more useful in case we need to fight anyone...'

'Time to craft 10 forks and 10 pickaxes with furnace and anvil.'

System: 6 points have been deducted from magical, 10 minutes left.
