--------------------Senju Pov---------------------------

I have never been a "normal" girl. My passion from a young age was martial arts, and I was never ashamed to show it. Other girls would shy away from me because we didn't share the same tastes, and the boys, although they didn't mind letting me join their group of friends, didn't see me as a girl.

This made me not really interested in anyone.

Initially, being a child, I didn't worry about this kind of thing, but when I became a teenager, I realized that I was unlucky in love. I am a person who is not ashamed to express myself, so when I created interest in some boy, I had no problem making my thoughts clear.

But because of my reputation, no boy accepted my feelings, because "it would be like dating another boy. Hearing this was like being punched in the stomach, after all, despite my male tastes, I am still a girl!

Since then I have completely closed myself off to this kind of relationship, keeping only my friendships that I have built with the former members of the Black Dragons gang.

This went on without any problems... Well, at least until I met him.

Yuji Shinakawa.

I didn't know what it was, but something made him extremely appealing to me, and when I met him in person, I couldn't help but appreciate his appearance for a few seconds before revealing myself at his academy. Even after he unleashed hostility toward me, it only served to increase my interest.

Of course, initially it was just a silly interest, but when we faced each other in B1, I felt an excitement that I had never felt before in my fights, and even when I was defeated, I wasn't really disappointed, maybe frustrated, but not disappointed.

I thought it was just a kind of attraction to his strength, but when I met him downtown and we went out together, I enjoyed myself, and as much as I hated to admit it, I appreciated his presence.

He didn't treat me like the other boys, he really saw me as a girl, even teasing me with nicknames, which although it made me a little irritated, made me feel ashamed every time I heard them coming out of his mouth.

It was a ride that I certainly enjoyed, and it was on it that I realized that

I liked him.

At first I denied the feeling with all my might, and I couldn't help but blame it on the strange charm that the boy had, but after a while, I just started to ignore the thoughts about him that suddenly popped into my mind.

That was until, after not receiving a single message from him since our time together in the city, I decided to go to his gym to look for him... Just to make sure that he was okay...

It was a shock to learn that he was hospitalized, leaving me extremely worried about his well-being. I tried to visit him once, but only relatives and people that those responsible for him allowed to visit him.

This frustrated me, and left me no choice but to wait.

Then receiving a message from him suddenly asking us to meet made me completely lost in thought while I was choosing my outfit for our date.

Yes, I consider this a date. Shame is for wimps, and I am not ashamed to admit my feelings!

--------------------Yuji Pov---------------------------

As I was finishing getting dressed, I couldn't help but appreciate my appearance in the mirror for a few seconds.

I have gone from 168cm to 173cm, 5cm difference since I came into this world, which taking into consideration that it hasn't even been a year since I started actively training, is an incredible number. From what I remember, my parents were not the tallest, with my mother being 160cm while my father was 168cm, the same height I was until a few months ago. If the system was disregarding my genetics to make my body adapt to my strength gained so quickly, I wouldn't make a show about it, after all, I always wanted to be tall.

Stopping to appreciate my own appearance, I pulled out my phone and checked the time, realizing that I still had at least 30 minutes before I needed to go to the scheduled location with Senju.

Putting the phone away and putting it aside until I was on schedule, since I could make it downtown in 5 minutes at most, I walked until I was in the middle of my room, determined to understand some of the new style I acquired after my fight against Setsuna.

"Koei style... I can't say it's a style I'm familiar with, but from what I can tell from the knowledge I gained after learning it, it's an extremely dangerous martial art, despite having only two techniques that knowledge of the system provided me with." I stared at my palm for a few seconds, remembering the feeling when I first used it against Setsuna.

The bastard must have freaked out, that I expect, after all, I learned the style technique he must have taken time to learn, in just a few minutes. Suck on that, you son of a bitch.

Shaking my head to get rid of the maniacal grin forming on my lips, I immediately turned my attention to my palm, squinting my eyes as I slowly moved my arm back.

With a smooth but swift motion, I launched my palm forward while rotating my forearm extremely fast.

"Uhm." I opened a satisfied smile as I felt the same sensation as before, but I couldn't help but frown as I realized something.

"I clearly remember several details from our fight, and one of them is the fact that Setsuna rotated his wrist by 360°. I can at most twist it 180°, if I tried to do like him, I would break my arm in several places..." As much as I want nothing more than to rip off all of Setsuna's limbs, I can't ignore his genius, after all, he was able to hone a style of just two techniques.

Repeating the techniques a few more times, just so I could get used enough to the feeling of twisting my wrist, I stopped after a few minutes, satisfied with my progress in such a short period as I left my room.

As I walked to the living room of my house, I immediately noticed my aunt sitting on the couch, a thoughtful look on her features that I didn't often see.

Has something happened? Is it related to me? Maybe I forgot my bucket of clothes in the bathroom again?

As I tried to remember anything related to the house, my eyes caught the woman looking at me, a strained smile appearing on my lips.

"Hello, Aunt Shisumi." I spoke.

"Yuji, sit with me for a few minutes." She said without hesitation.

Am I being kicked out of the house? That would certainly be bad, but not something I can't manage.

Moving over to the sofa, I sat down next to her, returning the thoughtful look she was giving me. Honestly, seeing her this way gave me more chills than seeing her normally.

"I talked to Mokichi, he told me about the training he had in mind for you."

She spoke, and I couldn't help but be a little apprehensive. Shisumi had been a protective woman of me for as long as I could remember, never letting me take any more risks than necessary. Of course, this diminished when her workload made it difficult for her to stop at home, but still, she would spare no effort for my protection.

I'm sure that if the old me hadn't been afraid to tell her what was happening at school, those delinquents would be in a coma in the hospital right now.

So seeing that she was thoughtful about the matter, only led me to believe that she was undecided.

"First of all, I don't disagree with the idea. Time passes quickly, and soon you will be old enough to become independent, and I don't want to stand in the way of your dreams. If that's what you want, I won't go against your decisions, as long as you don't start hurting innocent people, I won't say anything about your actions."

I widened my eyes upon hearing her words, not preventing the excited smile from appearing on my lips.

"Thank you so much, Aunt Shisumi!"

Snorting, she let out a sigh as she seemed to continue again.

"But I have one condition." She held up her hand, and I immediately returned to my neutral expression.

"You will graduate from high school. I don't care if you take a test to prove you're fit to finish it early or something, you need to finish it!"

I nodded immediately. That was no problem, I believed that I could easily pass a test to prove that I am smart enough to finish high school. In fact, that was one of my goals. If I were to concentrate completely on training, I wouldn't have time to worry about school grades.

"Besides, I'm going to tell you our family history. I believe it is time for you to know."

I widened my eyes when I heard what she said. History of our family? Not something I could remember hearing all my life. The most I knew about our family was that I had an uncle and two cousins living somewhere in Tokyo, which neither my parents nor my aunt had much contact with. I didn't think much about it, after all, why should I meddle in the fight my aunt had with her brother?

With my attention on Shisumi, I watched her sigh as she prepared to speak.

"The history of the Yamashita family."
