As Kunihiko Yuyama entered the morgue the usual cold embraced him.
A pathologist left the room and before he left he took a deep breath and dared to look into Kunihiko Yuyama's face, there was no emotion, not a twitching of an eyelid, not a trembling of his lips, just a cold expression, solid and perfect as marble. And it was as lasting as stone.
A little warmth entered the room as the pathologist left. But as soon as the door closed again, it was completely overtaken by the cold temperature of the morgue. The lone man swiftly approached the cold silver table on which the still, cold body was lying of Eve
He looked down at this well-known face, this face that used to smile as soon as he entered the room, the cheeks that used to blush as soon as he started talking, the eyes that used to shine when they found his.
And now they lay cold and empty staring at the ceiling above. It was no typical reaction of Kunihiko Yuyama; it was completely irrational. He kept staring at her, hoping for a movement, hoping for the warmth of her pulse to come back, yearning for her voice to fill his ears again.
But somewhere in the center of the storm inside his head, there was the steady and solid fact that Eve, his Eevee was once and for all gone.
A single tear was able to break through his perfect poker face. It fell on her cheek.
And as he saw that not even this could cast a reaction in her, he allowed himself to give up.
His head fell on his chest, his hands folded on his back, and his features failed to keep the poker face up. No more tears, no sobbing. He grieved silently.
With a swift turn, he kicked the nearest object that couldn't fall over; in his case, it was a sink to clean the instruments after the autopsy.
He paced up and down the morgue and tried to catch his breath out of a sudden tremble.
After a few minutes of complete agitation, he simply walked out the door, with a last painful glance at the creature that used to be a constant and fixed point in his life.
He couldn't bear another second in this room.
....
Sitting outside on a cold winter night, Kunihiko Yuyama wondered if Mew truly hated him.
First his parents and now Eve.
Suddenly the dead silence of the cold winter night was broken by the sounds of footsteps which caused Kunihiko Yuyama to glance at the slender man with short light blonde hair that covered his left eye. He sported a weird uniform that told Kunihiko Yuyama that this stranger was a foreigner.
Suddenly the foreigner stopped in front of Kunihiko Yuyama as he smiled and said," The name's Volo Shirona."
" And ?"
" I have a friend that would like to meet you."
Suddenly unknown pokemon whose bodies seemed to be in the shape of alphabetical letters began to swirl around them creating a row of children that bleed from the eyes, ears, and mouth.
Each drop of blood that hit the ground was like a signal for something beyond Kunihiko Yuyama's understanding.
" Oh, looks like he likes you," Volo said in a teasing voice as a bloody mist rolled all around them.
" Would you like to join me? Your worth is so much more than this, join me and I can give you what you want, a chance for revenge."
[ Months later ]
A rumor has been going around Spectra of the ghost of the shadows.
Children began to miss and later be found in front of their houses in boxes.
The word torture couldn't describe the look of despair and anguish they felt during the time of death, forever engraved as a token of the work of a monster.
The Lords and vassals of Spectra ignored such things until one of the children of a nobleman from Ransei was kidnapped.
This time they couldn't ignore it.
It was so big that the Lord of Spectra himself had to step in.
Weeks of investigation had led the search party into an underground cavern where horrors of untold magnitude awaited them.
No one knew what had happened that night.
Those involved feared to speak but one thing was for sure.
The madman who was responsible for all the untold misery of the people of Spectra was caught.
Kunihiko Yuyama, the man who was dubbed the epitaph " The Unspeakable Evil" was sentenced to death by burial.

[ Kunihiko Yuyama's POV ]
I open my eyes to pitch-black darkness. It's cold, terribly cold. So cold I can't feel my fingers, can't feel any part of my body. I can't feel any emotions, just cold, cold, cold. Freezing. It's so dark, it's almost as if I never opened my eyes. Like I've been dropped in a pool of black ink and I'm drowning in it. The darkness, as suffocating as space, like I've been thrown out to the mysterious, lonely, void, where no man has before traveled.
Why haven't you answered me?
I questioned as I gazed upon the rune Volo had given me.
I move to sit up but am met with the tightness of cloth wrapped around me. It's covering my entirety, face to feet. Not leaving one limb free of its unforgiving grasp. I move around as much as I can to loosen the fabric, but this only makes it harder to breathe. I lay still, out of breath.
Before I ponder too much...
SLAM!!
You are reading story Pokemon : An Unexpected Journey at novel35.com
The deep sound of a heavy door bangs all around me, followed by a deafening silence. Thump...
Thump...
Thump...
I hear the sounds of footsteps creeping toward me... Shuffling sounds and a CRASH make their way to my ears, and more silence fills the room before I'm blinded by a bright light.
The cloth is lifted from my head, and I'm face to face with a strange man.
Looks like my executioner is here.
He looked like he must be a doctor, but why would this doctor be tending to me? I notice I'm lying on a table.
The strange 'doctor' man holds up a long rope. He took the rope and used it to secure my arms to my sides.
He ignored me as if I never said anything and am merely a corpse that cannot speak. He barely glanced at me and continued wrapping my legs with the rope.
Looks like my calm before death even surprised this strange doctor.
Then again if he knew the world I had seen.
The majesty of the lord of void I had gazed upon then even I wouldn't fear something like death.
At this moment, he turned away, and I noticed a box behind him. A box by itself may not be very weird, but other than this box, the table, the man, and I, there is nothing else in the room. It's an interesting-looking box, quite long, and rather flat on the top and sides. Almost like... a coffin...
The 'doctor' turned around with a smile, he seems to have seen what I'd found but my stoic face left him speechless.
As if I was a man that knew no fear.
He told me to be quiet, he doesn't want anyone to hear me. The man held me down and pulled out a rusty needle. The 'doctor' threads a string through the needle and held it up to my mouth.
The man stabs the needle through my lips and pulls the string through.
Only a grunt escaped my mouth as I smiled.
Something is awakening inside my heart.
When will I meet the lord, Volo ?!
I questioned and before I knew it, I breathed a breath I didn't know I was holding as he finished the sewing of my mouth and stood up. The doctor brought the now bloody red needle to my left eye. He doesn't hesitate before plunging the metal into my eyeball. I can't even scream anymore. The pain is so excruciating, and yet I can do nothing about it yet even after all of that my mind was focused on one thing.
When will the lord of void summon me?
I could hear squelching and the squishing of what used to be my eye being destroyed. But it doesn't stop there as the doctor proceeded to start sewing my eyelid shut too. And when he's done with that one, moves on the right eye.

Kunihiko Yuyama could hear the thunderous applause all around him.
With his tendons and muscles cut off, Kunihiko Yuyama was just a leftover skeleton
" Sleep tight." Something called out to him in a quiet vicious tone.

In hell and darkness lies Kunihiko Yuyama with one word echoing through his tongueless mouth.
As if his wishes had come true, he found himself staring at the abyss that stared back.
Darkness willed all around it as the abyss parted revealing a creature with a serpentine look. Its legs are reduced to golden-tipped spikes, and four additional golden spikes appear near the edge of its tail. Six gold half-rings grip its body. The back points of each half-ring had a black ghostly tendril with a red spike at its tip. The horns on its head are now facing the back. The sides of the golden "crown" cover its mouth and separate vertically like an insect's mandible when it opens its mouth a black vertical stripe was broken into pieces and ran down its body.
" W..who did it ?" Pulling all his strength Kunihiko Yuyama said as Giratina smiled
" Clarence Ainsworth "
Giratina smiled as it sensed the human's emotions.
Hate.
Anger.
Revenge.
" M...y Lor...d ..."
Kunihiko Yuyama didn't even finish his words as Giratina's eyes glowed a crimson red. The surrounding abyss turned into hands made of darkness that ripped through Kunihiko Yuyama's being.
Amplifying his hatred to such a degree that it warped casualty itself.
Giratina smiled at its creation before he faded back into the reverse world.

[ Omake Paragraph ]
It is a strange surrender for science to describe Clefairy as "magical" - in truth, there is some explanation for all their strange attacks and abilities, just one which has eluded professors to this day. Their haunting, unearthly song, critical hit-preventing chants, immunity to status effects, and ability to sacrifice themselves to revive other pokemon surely have their internal logic no less rational than our own. Scientists have surrendered because xenobiology is a bizarre field that requires old assumptions to be thrown out the window; Clefairy is so strange, so alien, that no one has come close to understanding them in the way which we understand how Charmander store fire in their stomachs for flamethrower.
And there is a great deal about Clefairy which suggests magic. How they chant their name while moving their hands and making all sorts of attacks come to life was probably the inspiration for stories about wizards. To be fair, Metronome is chaos magic, not magic from spellbooks: it calls down a random technique that is as often useless or counterproductive as it is useful, and is used only in desperation. There is no such thing as a Clefairy which can summon fireballs.
But Metronome captured human imaginations enough that Clefairy dolls were made by the millions for sale as a magical totem. They have none of the powers which New Age hucksters claim, and are generally regarded by right-thinking people as a scam or a cute but overpriced decoration, but for some strange reason (which surely can be explained by science) they maintain the ability to scare wild pokemon away
