Chapter 25: Strength

Autumn: "Leon senpai can I ask you a question?" 

Leon: "Go ahead." 

Autumn: "Does Kubfu has an evolution or anything special to it? I am a little confused at how he could be the secret armour of the Pokemon Dojo even if it may be a super rare Pokemon." 

Leon: "For your first answer yes it can evolve into Urshifu which can be a Single strike style if Kubfu enters the tower of Darkness or a Rapid strike style if it enters the tower of Water. As for why it is called the secret armour it's because if it reaches its max potential then it will be able to help you see through any battle, just like a suit of armour. In a legend, it is even said that if an Urshifu of max potential is brought to the field then no opponent would be able to get past it." 

Autumn: "Hmm although the legend sounds amazing and inspiring, I am not sure whether to believe it or not." 

Leon: "Why is that?" 

Autumn: "There is nothing such as a perfect armour or defence whatever you may call it, similarly there is nothing something like a perfect attack. In my view, everything has a pattern and these patterns are the flaws themselves. Once you figure out these patterns you can easily breach through any defence or parry any incoming attack." 

Leon: "What you just said now makes sense but you know legends are not something that should be taken lightly, after all, they won't be legends if there is not some truth to it." 

Autumn: "Yes, which is exactly why I would be helping this one to become the Urshifu like in the legends." 

Autumn said in a resolute tone meanwhile Leon was surprised to hear what Autumn just said. He declared that his Kubfu will become the Urshifu like in the legends. What Autumn just said now will lead him and Urshifu to go on an arduous adventure together to help Urshifu evolve. 

Leon: "You know Autumn you always confuse me with what you say from time to time." 

Autumn: "How so?" 

Leon: "You see the way you do things is that you will first ridicule something pointing out its flaws but as soon as you are done ridiculing it, you would try to show its strength which leaves me baffled. Take the stunt you pulled off in the Youth tournament you first ridiculed how simulation battles are not practical and they would never reach the hype same as an actual battle but the next second showed the world how complex and how strategic a simulation battle could be." 

Autumn: "It's nothing special." 

Leon: "That applies to you only, you used the abilities of different Pokemons to your advantage and managed to win by making a precise strategy to counter the opponent's Pokemons. I didn't realise it before but when you were battling, you took into account that in a simulation the stats of a pokemon are fixed and that is a weakness of this type of battle but you used it to your advantage. It's like you have the knowledge that nobody of your age should possess no wonder that girl Cynthia calls you a Library. The amount of knowledge you have is a terrifying advantage you hold over anyone." 

Autumn was silent throughout the whole time when Leon was explaining how ridiculous and powerful he truly is. What Leon just said was true the advantage that Autumn held over anyone was the knowledge he possess. Leon seems to have noticed this which even makes him take Autumn seriously because he was sure that when it comes to a battle of brains he wasn't Autumn's match even as the champion. Leon was sure if they do a Pokemon battle on equal terms he had a high chance of losing. While Leon was evaluating Autumn's strength and potential Autumn was also thinking some matters over. 

Autumn: *Sigh 'Well it seems that I have gone overboard some people have already caught wind of what I could be capable of which is not good. I just made a gamble at that tournament, after all, I wanted to gain initial attention by only showing the bare minimum of what I am capable of but I forgot one crucial flaw no I didn't forget it, just like I said I made a gamble instead and it seems I might have lost that gamble. Humans are imaginators who would imagine many things about a topic even if they were exposed to that topic just once.' 

Autumn: 'What should I do? Should I act dumb? No Leon wouldn't buy that. Maybe try to convince him that he is exaggerating things, but would that work? Or should I accept that it was all part of my plan? No that would be the worst option. I think that I will go with trying to convince him to lower his suspicion even by a little bit."

Autumn: "Umm senpai I am glad to know that you view me in high regard but I think you are exaggerating things over he" 

Leon: "I don't think so kid, your potential is something that even I am scared of, to be honest." 

Autumn: * Sigh " I think you are right." 

Leon: "Are you confirming my speculations?" 

Autumn: "Yes but also No I agree that my potential may be terrifying but I am just a kid and before you say that I am an exception think over it again I may be a top genius and I have ridiculous potential but there are still many things I need to learn before I can truly bring out that potential you speak of." 

Hearing what Autumn just said, Leon thought over what Autumn just said and found what Autumn just said to be more convincing than what he had thought in mind. Autumn hasn't reached the potential that Leon has an image of in his head, Leon sighed and nodded at Autumn saying that he understands what he just said. Autumn may be a genius but he is just a child right now there is no way that Autumn could be a terrifying opponent at least not right now. 

Leon: *Sigh "I understand kid sorry for speculating such things, what you said just now is more convincing than the speculations I had in my mind." 

Autumn: "It's okay after all we humans are imagainators who imagine different things based on our initial impression over that matter." 

Leon: "Hmm but I still believe that in the future you will reach that level. Autumn, can I ask you something?" 

Autumn: "Yes, what is it?" 

Leon: "In the future, if you manage to reach that potential can we battle." 

This was Leon asking for a duel against a potentially powerful opponent to which Autumn replied with a nod along with a serious expression. Seeing this Leon was satisfied and didn't pursue the matter any further. 

Autumn: 'Finally Safe, I must be careful in the future to not let this mistake happen again otherwise it may come to bite me in the future. Maybe I should take things easy and slow for now until I have enough strength to protect the things that I care for. Yes, I will exactly do that and take things slow and easy for now after all this is just '???? ???????????? ????????????????????????????????????' for me.'
