Chapter 24: Urther

Autumn's Dream PoV: 

A memory from the previous world 

*Inhale *Exhale *Inhale *Exhale *Inhale *Exhale 

Autumn: *Tch "I didn't expect to fight an entire platoon of Aura Guardians. If I am correct these Aura Guardians are definitely from TWS, I see so you want to make me an enemy of yours huh Lucia?" 

[Sire] 

I looked to my left to see a friend who had been with me since the day it was brought into existence. My friend who looked like a knight was looking at me with concern, to which I responded with a nod saying that I am fine. 

Autumn: "Don't worry, I am fine but Urther do you think you can continue?" 

[Yes, I URTHER the 19th shall follow my sire till the end.] 

Autumn: *nods "Okay use swords dance and boost your attack power. We will close in and strike them down." 

Autumn: 'I have to finish these goons quickly, all I can do now is a body enhancement to strengthen myself, close in and take them out and I have only 5 minutes. That is my limit for now and also this trip mine should come in handy.' 

*Throws a trip mine at an unassuming spot. 

{Footsteps} 

Autumn: 'Okay let's...' 

"Autumn" " Autumn" ... 

Autumn: 'Who is calling me?' 

Leon: "Autumn wake up." 

Dream Ends... 

Autumn woke up from his dream and looked around to see that Leon was standing in front of him. 

Leon: "You sure took your time waking up." 

Autumn: "Sorry, I just had a dream." 

Leon: "Oh what kind of?" 

Autumn: "Something about a small experience that I would not prefer to talk about." 

Leon nodded understanding that Autumn wasn't going to say anything from here and he informed Autumn to quickly prepare himself for the upcoming trial. Autumn nodded and headed to the shower before arriving at the Dojo's main hall. There were also many Dojo students there probably to see the new trainee. 

Honey: "Leon, Autumn over here." 

"It's the champion" 

"Yeah and that little guy over there must be the new member." 

"Why does he looks so familiar?" 

Mustard: "It seems you have arrived." 

Mustard made his appearance in the main hall soon after everyone was present he moved towards the middle of the hall so that everyone can see him properly. 

Mustard: "Autumn come here." 

Autumn also moved toward the centre of the hall and stood behind Mustard, it was a form of respect. After hearing his name the students present also soon started to realise who he was. 

"Autumn? Isn't that the young prodigy who became a professor?" 

"You are right but what is he doing here?" 

" Let's keep quiet for now. I think sensei will tell us what is going on." 

Mustard: "I am sure you all have your doubts about this kid being here but I am here to inform you that Autumn is now a student of the Pokemon Dojo. Everyone, please welcome him." 

Autumn: "I will be in your care." 

{Noises} 

Mustard: "Alright everyone silence. I have another piece of news to tell you. You see not only he is the new member of the Dojo he is also currently taking on the Dojo trails." 

"WHAT?" 

The students were now in an uproar they couldn't believe a rookie will take on the trail as soon as he joined the Dojo and some even thought that he would fail. 

Mustard: "Shocking isn't it but you see this kid here has already finished one trial which is to find the max mushroom." 

After Mustard said that the students were shocked although the task of just collecting things might seem easy these are the max mushrooms we are talking about they are really hard to find. 

Mustard: " Okay for the second trial now. Are you ready little one?" 

Autumn: "Yea" 

Mustard then took out 6 pokeballs and released all the mons in the Pokeballs. They were all galarian slowpokes, Autumn was wondering what will he be doing for the trail but it seem to include slowpokes in it. 

Mustard: "Your next trail is to catch these slowpokes and bring them back to the Dojo." 

Autumn: 'Okay sounds simple enough." 

Mustard: "Okay begin." 

As soon as Mustard said to begin the slowpokes sprinted at a ridiculous speed which was surprising to see the least but Autumn knew he cannot fall behind so he also chased after them at an even more ridiculous speed. 

Mustard: 'Whoa that was fast.' 

The students and everyone in the Dojo were also surprised to see a kid sprint at such speed. 

Honey: "That was fast." 

Leon: "Y-Yeah I have never seen someone run at such speed." 

After 3 hrs... 

Autumn: "Okay all done." 

Mustard: "Amazing little one you are something else aren't you?" 

Autumn: *Haa "Well it wasn't easy." 

Autumn: 'These slowpokes ran in different directions so it was much harder to catch them and bring them back.' 

Mustard: "Since you have managed to complete the task I hereby declare that you finish the second trial Autumn." 

*Clap *Clap * Clap 

"Nice one there rookie." 

"That was amazing." 

The students also cheered Autumn and finally began to think of him as the new member. They were not pleased when they heard that someone had the gall to challenge the trial as soon as they join the Dojo but knowing that he completed one trial and witnessing the second trial made the students more amazed with Autumn. This was the Pokemon Dojo where your strength and skills matter the most. 

Mustard: "Good it seems like they finally recognise you little one. Isn't that nice?" 

Autumn: "Well I am not much of an attention seeker but yeah it's quite nice." 

Mustard: *Cough *Cough 'Yeah right.' 

Mustard: "Well now for the final trial, Are you ready?" 

Autumn: "Yes" 

Mustard: "The final trial would be a battle of martial arts." 

Some students were surprised but Mustard explained to them that Autumn didn't have his trainer id so he couldn't battle legally so it would be best for him to do a martial arts battle. These sorts of battles were uncommon in the world. There are martial artists in the world who would battle against each other but it was still uncommon.

Mustard: "You would have to defeat three of the seniors and you are good to go. You do know how to fight right?" 

Autumn: "Very well then I accept the challenge." 

While this was happening a tiny figure was looking from a certain place. When it heard there would be a close quarter battle it came rushing to see what kind of battle it would be. Autumn and Mustard both felt the little figure's presence and looked at the direction he was in. 

Autumn: 'Who is that Pokemon?' 

Mustard: 'Hmm, is that guy interested in this battle?' 

Shaking his head, Autumn soon returned his expression to a more focused one because this was still a battle nonetheless and when it comes to any battle he wouldn't just take it easy or that seriously because he always tries to enjoy the battle. He doesn't have any grudge against anyone so he wouldn't battle that seriously as well. He will just take these battles as just comparing his strength and techniques against his opponent. 

Autumn: "So, who will be my first opponent?" 

Student A: "How about me?" 

Autumn: *nods 

Autumn took a stance to show that he is not playing around and in response to that, the Student also took a stance. 

Autumn: " Trainee Autumn hopes to seek guidance." 

Koi: "Trainee Koi also hopes to seek guidance." 

Autumn & Koi: "Let's have a fair match." 

Mustard: "Alright begin." 

Koi rushed toward Autumn while Autumn waited and braced himself. Koi threw a punch which Autumn easily avoided and retaliated with a punch of his own. Koi barely dodged it by backing away seeing this Autumn closed in the distance and he threw a left hook at a high speed while making sure not to overdo it. But with enough force to knock out the person and the result was obvious with insane speed and reflexes along with a ridiculous strength Autumn won the match. 

Mustard: "That's enough the winner of this match Autumn." 

{Cheers} 

Koi:  "Kugh was I knocked out." 

Student B: "Yeah but only for 5 seconds." 

Koi: "Well at least I gave it my all. So who will be going next." 

Student B: "I will go." 

Koi: "Be careful that kid hits really hard." 

Student B: "I will don't worry." 

Mustard: "Let's continue." 

Autumn also won the second round but this time he finished it in a single move by hitting a vital jab. The student was lucky that Autumn held back his strength otherwise his neck would have been broken. 

For the third match, Autumn didn't finish the match early because the final opponent was quite skilled in different martial arts so Autumn also reduced his strength and speed to his opponent's level for the match but he still won without getting hurt because he could easily see the flaws in his opponent techniques and would always dodge or parry while his opponent did manage to hold his ground but still lost because he took too many hits. 

Mustard: "Now that was a nice duel to witness. And with saying that the winner of this final duel is Autumn and since he completed the three trials he has earned the right to get the Dojo's Secret Armour." 

Mustard brought out a Pokeball but before he could release the Pokemon inside the tiny figure rushed out from its hiding place and appeared in front of Autumn and Mustard. 

"Bear" 

(A/N: Idk how Kubfu sounds so I just put what was in the game subtitles.) 

Mustard: "What is it?" 

"Bear" 

Mustard: "Huh" 

Autumn: "Who is this Pokemon?" 

Mustard: *Haiz "Autumn this Pokemon name is Kubfu and this Pokemon is also the secret armour of the Pokemon Dojo." 

Autumn was a little surprised to know this little Pokemon's identity. He genuinely thought that the secret armour would be an item but wasn't expecting it to be a Pokemon. 

Autumn: "Hmm what is it saying?" 

Mustard: "It seems to have become interested in you and is hoping that you would become its trainer but-" 

Autumn: "But what?" 

Mustard: "You see this Kubfu is a little special." 

Autumn: "Special?" 

Kubfu's mood also becomes down after hearing what Autumn and Mustard were talking about it noticing this Autumn made his way toward Kubfu. 

"Bear" 

Autumn crouched down and put his hand in front. 

Autumn: "Hit me with your best shot." 

"Bear!" 

Kubfu was not sure what to do but seeing the serious expression on Autumn's face he knew he can not afford to miss this chance and hit a powerful punch Autumn didn't even flinch even after receiving a powerful hit. 

"Bear" 

Kubfu was shocked that his punch didn't do anything and began thinking that it was not good enough but Autumn started to laugh which caused Kubfu to be confused. 

Autumn: "Hahahaha" 

Autumn: "Interesting that punch just now did make my hand go numb for a while nice one there Kubfu. Sensei I have decided I will take this Kubfu." 

Mustard: " Are you sure?" 

Autumn: "Yes, this little guy I will train him to be a powerful Pokemon." 

Mustard: *sigh "Very well then take this." 

Mustard gave a Pokeball which belonged to Kubfu to Autumn which Autumn received and called back Kubfu to its Pokeball. 

Autumn: "Welcome to the team." 

Mustard: "I have already told you that Kubfu is special but maybe you might be able to bring out its true potential in the future so work hard in raising it." 

Autumn: "Will do and I think I will have to return to the Galar region now I have a flight tomorrow." 

Honey: "Leaving so soon." 

Autumn: "I will visit when I have time so don't worry." 

Leon: "Then I will also take my leave." 

With saying that Autumn and Leon bid farewell and left the Dojo. 

Honey: "Dear was it a good idea to give that Kubfu to Autumn." 

Mustard: "Idk it seemed like fate so I think it's probably the best choice." 

Honey: "But you do know that Kubfu can't evolve right?" 

Mustard: "..." 

Mustard: 'I just hope that the little prodigy will find a way, back when that Kubfu was ready to evolve and entered the Tower of Darkness it couldn't evolve so it went to the Tower of Water but it still didn't evolve. I always wondered what exactly might be the problem with it. I just hope that the kid will be able to figure out what's wrong.'
