Chapter 29: A hidden factor

Imaginary space an ethereal space where the collective thoughts and concessions of different beings but many things are still a mystery in this space. 

Right now Autumn along with Violet, Torchic and Kubfu were advancing toward the core of this space, Autumn completely hid his Aura to not alert the imaginary beings. According to Violet the imaginary beings or the scavengers carried an aggressive nature toward the outsiders. Out of curiosity, Autumn asked Violet why they are called scavengers to which Violet responded by saying that these are creatures without sentience and they scavenge light particles which are known as spiritual dust to gain sentience. But the only problem is that it takes a lot of spiritual dust for these scavengers to gain sentience and an outsider with a complete soul is the best source of nutrition for them. 

Autumn nodded satisfied with the answer and also understanding the severity of the situation he is in right now. Although his luck was not that bad finding someone who knew where the core resides otherwise may have taken him a lot of time and effort finding the core. 

Violet: "We will be now entering the middle zone, be careful." 

Autumn: *nods "Okay" 

Autumn and the crew soon entered the middle zone and the first thing that Autumn noticed was the environment felt very comfortable and soothingly for some reason. He felt himself taking a nice bath on a hot summer day. It was all very pleasing and if he could he would love to stay here but he had a job to do. 

Autumn: 'Hmm, what a nice feeling it feels like all my years of accumulated fatigue is being washed away.' 

Autumn: "Quite a nice place I can feel my fatigue and tension being washed away." 

Violet: "Huh, you can feel your soul being cleansed by these spiritual dust." 

Autumn: "Yeah, is something wrong?" 

Violet: "Well you see only the imaginary beings can feel and absorb the spiritual dust there has never been a case where an outsider could absorb or even feel the spiritual dust." 

Autumn: "Torchic, Kubfu do you guys feel anything?" 

"Torchic" 

"Bear" 

Both pokemons shook their head indicating that they can't feel the spiritual dust this left Autumn a little bit perplexed about what is going on. He thought maybe because of his connection with the Imaginary space he could feel the spiritual dust but this theory had many flaws. 

First, the sole reason why he has a connection with the Imaginary world is because of Urther. 

The second reason is that he was the one to discover the IMG element in his world first but that alone itself won't be enough for him to be able to absorb the spiritual dust. 

And The Third reason he also is an outsider is because he was not born in the imaginary world nor did he belong to any family that has a connection with the imaginary space in both of his life. 

In his first life, he was from a family who run a restaurant downtown, that's where he learned all his cooking skills from. Furthermore, his parents were just common folks and only had a bare minimum amount of Aura in them and he was their legitimate child as well. Furthermore in the beginning Autumn himself was born with a very small amount of Aura but his stubbornness and hardworking nature carried him to the top of the world. Although many people called him a prodigy he knew very well than others he didn't have any talents but he was not sad or anything about it because he knows that he is strong and if he cannot defeat someone then he can just train and get stronger to beat them the next time they battle.

As for the Oak Family, although it's a famous family in the current world he is living in. Autumn is sure that the Oak Family also doesn't have any connection to the imaginary space because he has been Oak's assistant for some years but he can make the judgement that his grandfather doesn't have a single trace of Aura that is unique to Aura Guardians. but has a good physique for someone his age. He even has one time hacked into his Grandpa's emails and knows that his Grandpa is a highly respected figure because he has connections with 'The League' but that's it. It's a high-class family with a lot of connections and resources. 

Autumn: 'This doesn't make sense if what Violet just said now was true then there are only two reasons that come into my mind. First either my soul is unique in one way or another or second is that I have something in common with the scavenger to be a be to absorb and see the spiritual dust.' 

Autumn: "Can I ask you something, Violet?" 

Violet: "What is it?" 

Autumn: "Can you tell me why these scavengers scavenger these spiritual Dust?" 

Violet: "Didn't I tell you that already?" 

Autumn: "I know but can you explain it in a more detailed way? I need to confirm something." 

Violet: "Okay, well you see these scavengers scavenge these spiritual dust because they are not a fully conscious being and this spiritual dust provides them with nourishment to be able to become fully conscious beings and that's about what I told you already." 

While Violet was complaining about how she had already mentioned this information to Autumn. Autumn on the other hand had his doubts and that's when he suddenly realised one factor that separated the scavenger from a normal being with consciousness. 'They don't have a complete consciousness'. 

Autumn: 'I don't believe even for a second that I have an incomplete consciousness nor a defective one because I don't have another alter ego personality. So, that could only mean one thing, my soul has a problem.' 

"Analyze" 

Autumn first took a deep breath and started to observe his soul for any anomaly he could find. Autumn knew that the concept of the soul is the most unknown topic and also the most confusing one. There is no exact answer to how souls are formed or how souls carry the origin Aura of a person. Each soul is unique in its own way but different souls also have a lot of similarities between them. 

Autumn: 'Hmm, I can't find any anomaly no wait what is this black dot.' 

While observing his soul Autumn found a black dot which was around his heart area although it was small in size it was there. It was hidden but Autumn by some stroke of luck found it and he also felt that he had seen this dot somewhere before until he remembered what it was which caused him to have a cold back and make his blood run cold. 

Autumn: 'Nefarious overworld poison.'
