Chapter 4: Life as an infant

In a small town, the sun was slowly rising the wake-up call of dodrio accompanied by the chirping of pidgeys could be heard. Its been a week since Autumn became a part of the Oak Family and currently, he had Samuel Oak as his Grandpa, Blue Oak as his father, Lina Oak as his mother, Daisy Oak as his older sister and Gary Oak as his little brother and they lived in Pallet Town.

There were also many houses in this town and one of them a baby was in a crib but instead of sleeping, he was sitting in a cross-legged position which if anyone saw will be dumbstruck. Autumn was trying to absorb the Aura of the Sun.

Autumn: 'Sun is the source of heat and light in simple terms for normal humans but if we look at the benefits we get from Sun it gives us a lot more than that.'

True Sun is the ultimate source of energy for humans and pokemons. Many humans and pokemons especially grass types need Sun to survive. Not only does Sunlight give us vitamins like vitamin D. The light of the sun also carries the hint of life force energy.

Autumn: 'Life force energy is very useful for increasing your vitality but it can only increase it by maybe some few years which is not a very effective use of it.'

True staying in Sun for some time daily might help the body to be more energetic and healthy but this will only help you in the shorter term. Furthermore staying for a longer time may also lead to a body getting negative effects unless the body has grown an immunity to the harsh sunlight.

Autumn: 'Instead what you can do is, absorb the life force carried by the light of the sun and use it to reinforce your body to increase strength, flexibility and dexterity.'

Using life force to increase the potential and durability of the body is one of the most effective uses of using the power of life force. What it does is that it won't give you vital energy which allows you to live longer, instead, it will make your body much stronger and more flexible over time.

Autumn: 'Both humans and pokemons are the most sensitive when they are still an infant and during this period also our body will start to make itself familiar with our surroundings and by this way of observing and analysing our surroundings our body passively starts to develop an immune system so it fits our surroundings.'

The logic behind an immune system is that the more you take hits the more you will be able to endure. Autumn is also currently using the same logic right now. It may be possible that in future he won't be able to use life force energy to reinforce his body and might need to find another source but right now his body is that of an infant means his immune system is not fully developed which is a perfect time for him to train his body using the light from the sun.

Autumn: 'Hmm I am done with today's training session now time to refine this energy.'

Absorbing the energy is only the first part of practising Aura. You cannot just absorb an Aura from something and directly intake it inside your body. Not only does that foreign Aura force may destroy your body it can also cause internal injuries.

(A/N: It's like purifying the Aura so that it can be absorbed in the body otherwise absorbing the Aura of the sun might lead to cancer.)

Autumn is also very careful with how he handles Aura although he was a master, it doesn't mean that he will be careless. Autumn was a man who carried pride in being strong but also never let that pride cloud his judgement. He acted prideful and arrogant when needed and most of the time try to stay humble and polite.

Autumn: *Huff "I am finally finished with the refining process now it's time."

Autumn was panting a little but turned his expression into a more focused one again and he slowly made his way towards an oval object which was beside him. It was the pokemon egg, Autumn had managed to make sure that the egg stayed with him.

Flashback

Oak: "Okay I think I will put this egg in the incubator so that it can hatch."

Oak was about to take the egg before Autumn grabbed it. Oak was a little surprised by Autumn's act but it didn't stop him from advancing toward the egg. But at that moment Autumn cried again which caused Oak to stop.

Autumn: 'Screw it I have to do this for my partner, although putting him/her in the incubator might help her hatch a bit faster. I have a better idea. So I will have to do this for my future partner.

Oak: "This-"

Blue: "Why don't you let him keep the egg with him, dad. This little one here seems to be very attached to it."

Oak: "Hmm it's not that you can't hatch an egg without the help of an incubator it's just that it may take more time and the pokemon inside might be born with an average potential."

Blue: "Hmm that is true but if we take this egg away Little Autumn might be sad."

Oak looked at Autumn and then the egg before sighing and agreeing to Blue's word.

Autumn: 'Well if it's the potential you guys are worried about then you don't need to worry about it.'

Flashback ends

Autumn: 'Arceus already promised to give me a partner with max IV and there is no way you can either downgrade it or upgrade it. So, why did I not just let it hatch faster? Well, the answer is simple. "Mutation" '

Mutation means to bring a genetic change in the species but the act of carrying out a project of mutation needs a researcher to have a valid licence for it. Simply put what Autumn is currently doing can be considered a crime.

Autumn: 'Well as long as it doesn't bring harm it's okay. Furthermore, this pokemon here is my partner what I am doing right now is using the refined life force energy to bring a mutation which will further make this pokemon even stronger on top of having max IV.'

Autumn put his palm on the eggshell and start to cycle the refined Aura inside of the unmatched pokemon egg and after some time he was finished. He looked over to see the egg shaking a bit showing that it is quite happy and satisfied. Autumn just smiled softly and then lay down to rest.

Autumn: "Guess this will be my life until I become 3 years old and start to do some physical training." He muttered.

As of now, Autumn cannot go outside to train because his body is still that of an infant Furthermore his new parents wouldn't allow it.

Autumn: "I wonder how dad is doing on his journey."

After Lina had given birth to Gary his now-called father Blue had gone to travel the world again with his rival Red. He also met this trainer and could tell that he was strong and this trainer Red was the dad of a child name Ash.

Well, that's all he could gather so far and was satisfied right now because he is currently a baby and can't do anything. So, he is just gonna sit back and enjoy his life while he still can because whatever will come in the future may not let him rest.

Autumn: 'I wonder if all this absorbing and refining may help my body to develop faster than I will be able to start training a bit earlier.'

Autumn thought to himself, Currently, as of now, he won't be able to train unless he becomes a 3-year-old.  Autumn wanted to do some training so that his body can develop a bit faster and become stronger.
