"What is Socar doing I wonder."

When he left, Socar was left knocked unconscious by him.

"Well, someone ought to teach that fool a lesson."

Checking the time Gorn sped up a little. It was almost time to go check out his soon-to-be home.

"Hello, I have arrived."

"Perfect, I'll be there in a minute."

In front of Gorn could be seen a pretty big building, and nothing else, because tall walls were built all around it, making it impossible to see inside. In exactly one minute a beautiful lady opened the entrance to the complex.

"Are you sir Gorn?"

She was neatly dressed and looked rather professional.

"Yes."

"Please follow me."

Gorn followed the woman inside. Once he set foot inside he remained stunned for a moment.

"How beautiful!"

The words escaped from his mouth almost involuntarily. Nature was exquisitely combined with modern structures, making for quite a sight. Gorn did not see many things in his life so this kind of scenery was very unusual for him.

The woman's eyes gleamed mysteriously.

"Is everything to your liking sir Gorn?"

Gorn's expression returned to normal: "Well, everything seems acceptable at a first glance, but we will have to see about the rest."

The price was already fix so these tactics were unnecessary, nonetheless, Gorn didn't miss his chance to sharpen his negotiatory skills.
Some of the materials used seemed to be originated from dungeons, giving off a feeling of great luxury. The building had ten floors and varied in terms of shape in certain areas.

A quick tour of the surroundings, as well as a tour of the common facilities, and lastly the room.
The room was spacious, cleverly designed, and the furniture was a combination of white and red, giving off a peaceful vibe. The bath, as well as the kitchen, were miles apart from his old ones. Practically, it was everything he could wish for at the moment.

"Do you need some time to think things over, or have you decided already sir?" asked the woman in a leisurely tone, without a hint of a hurry.

Gorn knew his answer even before arriving there: "I'll take it. Also, I want to pay for the full one-year contract right now."

Even if he stayed only a month there, he needed to pay the whole sum of money anyway, as per the contract.

"Of course!"

Going to the bathroom Gorn took out the cash from his inventory and then proceeded to finish the other steps. After some time, Gorn found himself at the entrance of the room, alone, with a pair of keys in his hands.
Looking around he got emotional for a second.

"Finally!"

Jumping on the bed Gorn closed his eyes, relaxing for a few minutes. Getting on his ass, he took out his laptop and the old phone.
Making himself comfortable Gorn connected the devices.

The forest!

It was time to play the game.

"Status!"

His next objective was to get all his stats to ten.

"Let's go!"

Hour after hour time passed.

After half a day Gorn found another white orb of power.

"Sweet!"

By this time he was used to the attacks of the wild dogs, making it very easy to kill more than one at a time. From time to time he would also go inside the forest to hunt a few wolves, to get accustomed to their movements.

"If only I had a proper weapon, or a more useful attack method."

Using his body as a weapon was not a problem, however, the damage he did was rather low, and thus, a lot of time was wasted.

After almost non-stop grinding for a whole week Gorn finally managed to achieve his goal.

"Status!"

"I need to stretch my legs a little."

Sitting in one place for so long made him sore. Closing his room, Gorn left downstairs towards the restaurant.
The complex even had such a thing. It was exclusively for residents. In a short time, Gorn reached the first floor, where most of the common facilities were present.

"Quite a few people."

The place wasn't anything extraordinary, but at the same time not bad either. Sitting on a table he looked through the menu. Pressing a button that was cleverly placed on the table, a waiter soon arrived.

"Hello sir, what can I get you?"

"I want a steak with some fried potatoes and a bottle of red wine."

The wine arrived in a few moments. Waiting for his food, Gorn glanced around, at the people present. Most of them were nicely dressed and didn't seem tired or upset.

Sipping some wine Gorn let out a sigh. Not too long ago he was working all day long for the bare minimum.

"It's sure a lot better to sit comfortably in a room while gaming, and from time to time to go to a dungeon to excavate some energy crystals."

With just a day of work, he got enough money to live decently for a few years.

"How is that even fair?"

The discrepancy between certain people was enormous, a saddening fact.

'I have the old phone, but there are a lot of people with superpowers or who got filthy rich with other methods, I'm still a little kid compared to them.'

Being immersed in thoughts Gorn suddenly woke up after seeing a familiar face.

'She was also at the dungeon I've previously been to. One of the people with superpowers.'

She was very beautiful. Long black hair, white skin, an oval face with sparkling eyes, and a body that could make any man salivate.

'I think she was among the ones that cheered for me to excavate faster, although she didn't scream anything.'

At this moment his food arrived. The meat looked succulent and well-cooked. That plus the fried potatoes and some ketchup were just what he wanted. His focus was, however, on that girl.

'If she could be mine, that would be amazing."

She belonged to another category, but that wasn't the case anymore. As proof, Gorn lived in the same place as her, well, technically speaking. Maybe she had bought an apartment not just rented it.

'I want to go talk to her. How should I do that without making it weird?'

Gorn wasn't so shy, but still, it wasn't easy going to such a person.

'I guess it all depends on her character, and how interesting I look.'

The restaurant was only for residents, so he deducted she was also staying there. But there were also chances for that to not be the case.

'Should I leave it for another time?'

Delaying was also not good.

'What if she leaves somewhere and doesn't come back any time soon?'

She was also alone at the table, a fact that gave him more courage. In the end, Gorn decided to wait a little longer, in case she was waiting for someone.

'She is all alone, and only drinking something. This is the perfect chance. What can I lose? Worst case scenario she will swear at me or something. If she is waiting for a man, that man is clearly late, so... DO IT!'

His food was still untouched. Ignoring everything, Gorn got up and walked towards the girl. His heart was beating faster and faster. It was hard to keep a normal face.

"Hello, can I have a moment of your time?"

Gorn's words were spoken with a shaky voice, making it quite clear that he was nervous.
