"Excuse me?"
The girl looked startled, clearly not expecting a stranger to come to her.
"Are you free for a minute?" asked Gorn again.
A moment of very awkward silence followed.
'Shit, this is so uncomfortable.'
From up close she was even more beautiful. He had seen his fair share of beautiful women but didn't interact with one for a long time, mostly because of his previous busy routine.
'She is so flustered and quite shy.'
Gorn did not miss these details. Seeing the other person even shyer than him made things easier from one perspective.
Extending his hand Gorn took the initiative: "My name is Gorn, we have been together on a dungeon expedition."
The girl shook his hand almost automatically.
"My name is Bellona, I remember you." Thinking of the past her face turned red.
'I wonder if she is thinking about...' Gorn's skin also turned slightly red.
At this point they were still holding hands, so the situation turned a little awkward again.
"I'm free at the moment. Please take a seat, and what can I help you with Gorn?"
Bellona looked a little more composed, but her cute, shy expression was still there.
'Sweet!' Gorn shouted inside his head.
Apparently, she didn't mind the difference in status. The first impression seemed very good.
Taking a seat Gorn started to ask various questions about dungeons. The questions were actually genuine. From time to time he would make a few jokes, managing to make Bellona laugh.
'Hmm, looking good.'
After a few tens of minutes was finally time to make the decisive move.
"Can I have your phone number Bellona?" asked Gorn without explaining the reason.
Bellona looked hesitant. At this moment the waiter arrived with a few drinks. One wrong move and he tripped, spilling the drinks on the table and on both of his customers.
Gorn didn't mind it that much.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry!"
Bellona's face turned cold. She got up, grabbed the waiter by the hair, and banged his head into the table.
"You little shit!"
The waiter's head met the table again and again until he fainted. Throwing the man to the side Bellona sat down again.
"What?! Problems?!" asked Bellona after seeing Gorn's weird face.
"..."
'What the fuck just happened?'
Gorn was left speechless. Looking at the waiter and then at Bellona, he didn't know how to react.
"Do you perhaps have a problem with me hitting that waiter?"

Gorn looked again at the waiter. Getting up he gave him a soft kick. The waiter made a strange sound.
'Poor bastard...He is not dead, fortunately.'
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?"
Hearing Gorn, Bellona started to laugh with great gusto, frightening the remaining people that were still watching.
Jumping to her feet she grabbed Gorn by his arm, pulling him over. He could not resist in the slightest.
'What great strength...'
Taking his phone she typed a number in it.
"I like you! Call me later!"
With those words she left, nobody daring to stop her.
Gorn scratched his head while looking around. In the next moment, he ran away from that place.
Closing the door to his room with the key he breathed out in relief.
"That's something to remember. What in the world happened to Bellona?!"
There were a few hypotheses Gorn thought about.
"Will I get in trouble for this? Well, I don't care!"
He still had thirty thousand dollars as well as his old phone. These past few days his way of thinking changed slightly.
"From now on I should act more freely, doing things the way I feel."
When looking at the bigger picture he felt himself and those around him really small. In the end, he didn't eat anything, but that wasn't a big problem for the current him. Laughing, Gorn put all the things that happened in the back of his mind. It was time to play the game again.
"I need to explore more. Maybe I can find that gem somewhere without needing to be able to kill everything."
The outskirts of the forest were full of wild dogs, then the wolves came into play. After that, he wasn't sure.
Connecting the devices Gorn was adamant about spending the next few days trying to go as deep as possible into the forest.

While gaming time was flowing very fast. A few days went by in the blink of an eye. These days he didn't kill a single creature, he only explored.
"I think I might know where that blue gem is."
During these days he got killed a lot of times, but it wasn't all in vain. Past wolves were werewolves, an opponent he could not defeat at the moment. However, it wasn't impossible to avoid monsters. Gorn found certain routes he could take at certain times in order to avoid conflict. Using this method he managed to explore most of the forest.
"Fortunately, no one bothered me after the incident with that waiter."
He also didn't text Bellona during this time. Getting dressed, Gorn quickly went to buy himself some food and water. Using the inventory he made quite the stash of food.
"Food doesn't spoil in the inventory, that's common sense right?"
The number of the same item seemed to stack without a limit, or at least he didn't find it yet.
Bread x200
Fried meat x300
Bottle of water x400
Tomatoes x500
"With this much food I should be able to be safe in case of some emergency or in case I don't want to go shopping, and game in peace for long periods of time."
Two thousand dollars were spent just like that, but it was well worth it. With this trip, he also tested if other people could see his status or inventory. No one could see anything, Gorn was the only one. A fact that made him breath out in relief.
With these things out of the way, Gorn returned to his room, eager to try and finish his main objective.
"I wonder what will happen after I find that blue gem."
