Chapter 21: Chapter 21 – I’m going to be here for a while longer.

After receiving the mission notification, I quickly got up from the couch and looked at Rias. "Help me carry my things to the main bedroom. Afterward, we will go to the mall to buy clothes for you."

Rias was wearing my clothes all this time. She needs new clothes. Since I had money now, I wanted to do that.

"New clothes for me? I didn't think you were going to do that. I was almost going "buy" clothes on my own. Do you know how humiliating it is to wear these clothes?"

"I know my clothes are of terrible quality and not very nice, but I felt offended," I said sadly, but of course, I was only joking. I agree with her; I will also buy new clothes for myself.

So after we went upstairs and put my stuff in the main room that had the bathroom with the bathtub, we both took a shower (each in a different room) and got ready to go shopping.

And where is the best place to buy clothes at a good price? Of course, in an Outlet.

"There are some excellent Outlets nearby. We'll get some good clothes there for a good price. But of course, I can't spend too much. I'll leave the money for rent in my 'money bar'."

"I hope you can control your money well; I don't want to live in that house again."

"I will try. But I'll have someone competent to take care of my finances in a short time. What do you think about that?

"Don't count on me to do that. And if you hire a person, I expect that person to be competent."

"I'm not hiring anyone. You'll know what I'm talking about in no time." I need a new mission to summon a character. If it doesn't show up, I'll summon a new character the same way, so it doesn't matter.

'But summoning a new character and completing a quest would be much better since the reward would surely be pretty big.'

At the realtor the day before.

"You shouldn't have shown the paper with his information. It's not usual that people get your information so easily." Sitting at the reception of the realtor, the old woman put her cell phone in her pocket and stood up.

Behind the counter, Edna sighed and soon put the documents away.

"Well, it would also be strange to rent him a house without his documents, don't you think?"

"Yes, it would also be somewhat strange.  But you could have asked for his documents... but that doesn't matter now. I guess we can go now, right? We don't have anything else to do here."

"But I enjoyed working here..." Edna said sadly to the old woman who was closing the front door of the realtor.

"You know we've stayed here too long; that's detrimental to us. Besides, the magic I used to modify some people's minds is about to be broken. You knew this realtor didn't exist before, right?"

"Yes, I know..."

The old woman then sighed and raised her hand upward.

In her hand, a pale light appeared, leaving Edna practically blind.

"We are going home." Her appearance slowly changed to that of a middle-aged man with white hair.

"You know Erick will find out this was a fake realtor when he pays the next month's rent, right? Not just him, but other people that I helped too."

"Hm?" And then the light disappeared. The white-haired man looked at Edna for a while and began to think about what she had said. Yes, that made sense.

"You're right..."

"Then let me stay here until Erick moves out again."

"Are you sure you want that? It will consume your magic slowly; you will take time to recover when you return."

"No problem, I won't need to use magic here anyway. If something happens, Erick and his subordinates will be here, won't they?"

"You're right, but you can't trust him that much. So far, he hasn't summoned a strong enough character that can defend the city or the world from a possible large-scale attack."

"And do you think one of those attacks is already approaching?"

"I don't know, but maybe so. Well, now I have to go. I will keep you informed about Erick's and Lucy's situation. If she decides to send an attack, you will know about it."

"All right." Edna smiled, and the two continued to look at each other for a while. The man then raised his hand, and the glow in his hand appeared again.

"I will keep the mind control magic I used on some people active during this time. See you later. And be careful."

The man then vanished into thin air without leaving any trace of being there before. Edna sighed and then went back behind the counter. "Let's get back to work!" She said to herself.

It was evening when we returned home carrying several bags full of clothes. We bought several shirts and pants for Rias and me. The problem was the money spent. It was a very significant amount.

'But that doesn't matter, as I'm sure money won't be a problem.' I went upstairs to my room and put the bags with new clothes on top of the bed. Rias had taken her clothes to her room.

"We must wash them before we wear them, so I bought laundry soap on the way home." It's always good to wash your clothes before you wear them.

I separated the shirts and pants, took the tags off, and went downstairs to the laundry room. The laundry is in a door in the kitchen. Inside the laundry room were a washing machine, a dryer, and some cabinets.

There were also some brooms and other things that we would use to clean the house's floor.

I put my clothes in the wash and then went to Rias' room to tell her to put her clothes in the wash before using them. However, when I opened the door, Rias was already trying on one of the shirts.

Unfortunately, I didn't enter when she was shirtless.
